smaller meals, earlier, is the boring advice that works

Is that a U-100 syringe? The barrel markings change the answer completely.

comment on [Regain] appetite came back over five weeks, here is the timeline in c/tapering · 4 points · 12 days ago

Disagree with the framing. Regain is the documented outcome after discontinuation; calling it a personal failure is both wrong and corrosive.

Bacteriostatic or plain sterile water?

comment on cloudy after reconstitution — discard, right? right. in c/reconstitution · 37 points · 13 days ago

Small fix — a U-100 syringe is 100 units per mL. If yours is marked differently it is not U-100 and the whole calculation changes.

comment on [Vendor] JEEP six orders in, zero problems, and i am suspicious of my own luck in c/vendorvetting · 0 points · 18 days ago

a claim with no batch number is a marketing document

This is the whole method in one sentence. Everything else in the thread is elaboration.

comment on anyone else notice regain kicking in around week 20 in c/tapering · 1 points · 20 days ago

regain is the expected outcome and framing it as failure helps nobody

comment on why do vendor accounts always have the same three typos in c/vendorvetting · 1 points · 23 days ago

Kept a spreadsheet of quoted versus actual lead time across 5 orders. The quoted number held.

comment on [Vendor] TFC quoted 11 days to Eastern Canada and hit it four times running in c/vendorvetting · 29 points · 27 days ago

What did they say when you asked for the method line?

comment on [Resolved] the QST batch dispute — vendor retested, numbers matched, my error in c/vendorvetting · 1 points · 1 months ago

Regional stock made more difference to my planning than anything else — ordering from a warehouse in Poland took the customs question off the table en

Adding the practical version: ask for lead time, minimum quantity and the batch record in the same message. Three answers, one email.

comment on help me understand mg/mL, I have read the wiki twice in c/reconstitution · 159 points · 1 months ago

This. Showing the working is the fastest way for somebody else to spot the mistake.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about bacteriostatic water in c/reconstitution · 26 points · 1 months ago

Yes, and the dead-space point is worth repeating: it is small, it is real, and it is the same for every draw.

comment on Medutest is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/vendorvetting · 7 points · 1 months ago

That is a report count, not a test count. The table lists both and they are very different numbers.

comment on does mg/mL actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/reconstitution · 306 points · 2 months ago

Disagree with the "more water is safer" framing. It is not safer, it is just a different number to divide by.

comment on three years of order records threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/vendorvetting · 47 points · 2 months ago

Amino Asylum shows up in threads constantly and has almost nothing on file

receptor distribution is why the side effects are where they are

Is there any human data on that mechanism yet?

permalink

comment on am I the only one who found long term harder than the injections in c/maintenancephase · 325 points · 3 months ago

Body weight varies by a couple of kilos over days in stable people through fluid, glycogen and gut content. A range is not a trend.

Did the lot code on the vial match the paperwork?

permalink

comment on the reship question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/vendorvetting · 11 points · 3 months ago

Why the directory has two tiers, since the question comes up whenever somebody new finds it.

batch_number_bertie is describing the batch record test and it is the fastest signal available before you spend anything.

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify gallbladder in c/sideeffects · 33 points · 3 months ago

This. A bad fortnight after a step is expected. A bad quarter is a reason to talk to somebody who knows your history.

permalink

comment on hair loss — my 8-week log, condensed into one table in c/sideeffects · 5 points · 4 months ago

That symptom is not the one being described upthread. Two different things with similar names and the answers are not interchangeable.

the goal weight you picked at week 1 was a guess

permalink

stopping is a plan, not an event

permalink

nobody warns you about how much of this is timing rather than dose

permalink

fatigue plus low intake is usually just low intake

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about order records in c/vendorvetting · 34 points · 5 months ago

Regional stock made more difference to my planning than anything else — ordering from a warehouse in the Netherlands took the customs question off the table entirely.

permalink

Did you ask for the batch-specific certificate, or the generic one?

Did the lot code on the vial match the paperwork?

permalink

comment on three years of fatigue threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/sideeffects · 67 points · 5 months ago

Careful with the supplement recommendation. There is no evidence for it here and the mechanism you are proposing does not hold.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] lowest effective dose is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/maintenancephase · 8 points · 6 months ago

Appetite returning before the scale moves follows from the mechanism: the appetite effect is the proximal one and weight is the lagging integrated outcome.

reship policy in writing before the order, not after

permalink

comment on [Discussion] constipation is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 7 months ago

holding a dose an extra month is a legitimate answer to bad tolerance

permalink

comment on [Meta] the mg/mL rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/reconstitution · 75 points · 8 months ago

I would not round that figure. At 5mg/mL a rounding error of two units is a real fraction of the intended amount.

permalink

comment on does discontinuation actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/tapering · 51 points · 8 months ago

With a week-long half-life, exposure declines over several weeks after the last dose rather than stopping with it. The lag is why the first fortnight is uninformative.

Cosigning on lot matching. It sounds trivial and it predicts almost everything else about how an operation is run.
