A source page gets opened when enough members have ordered from a vendor and paid for independent testing that the log says something. The 188 names below get mentioned in threads without ever reaching that. They are listed so the 28 above read as a threshold rather than a shortlist. No source page, no rating, no link.
Three different things put a name in this table, and the note on each row says which. Thin evidence — a handful of submissions, sometimes one, which describes a vial rather than a company. Wide dispersion — enough results to see a shape, spread further apart than method noise explains, so the average does not describe what you would receive. No band at all — nothing verifiable either way, and the honest column entry is not banded rather than a letter we invented.
None of that is an accusation. A name here has not been found wanting; it has not been measured. Several of these will have a source page in two years, and the way that happens is members buying small, paying for a test and posting the result with the batch number on it.

The four testing services
Every number on these pages traces to one of four independent services, and members use all four:
- Janoshik — HPLC and mass spectrometry. The most-used service here by a wide margin, and the one most vendor COAs are checked against.
- Medutest — frequently used as a second opinion; several members split a single vial between Medutest and Janoshik specifically to measure inter-lab variance.
- PeptideMeter — publishes vendor-level averages over time, which makes it the useful one for spotting a trend rather than a single batch.
- VendorInvestigate — write-ups and verification work alongside testing.
A result from one service on one vial is a data point. Agreement between two services on the same batch is evidence. A vendor claim with neither is a marketing document.

Read the verification log before the rating. The rating is a summary of a lot of averaging; the log is the specific list of things somebody actually checked, with dates on it. Two suppliers on the same percentage can have very different logs, and the log is the part you can argue with.
Then read the test log, and look at the spread rather than the mean. The most common mistake people make with this directory is picking the vendor with the highest single result instead of the vendor whose results cluster.
Then test your own vial anyway. Every long-standing member of c/vendorvetting will tell you the same thing: a good record predicts your batch, it does not guarantee it.
