comment on [Training] three full-body sessions a week through the whole cut in c/glp1muscle · 2 points · 3 days ago
DEXA has a real error margin and people quote it to one decimal
comment on why does GIP agonism seem to reduce nausea rather than add to it in c/glp1science · 5 points · 7 days ago
Correction: that is glucose-dependent insulin secretion, which is why hypoglycaemia risk is low as monotherapy. Not the same claim as you made.
comment on the gallbladder question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/sideeffects · 80 points · 1 months ago
Kept a one-line-a-day log for two months. The pattern was obvious on paper and invisible in my head.
comment on does resistance training actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/glp1muscle · 1 points · 1 months ago
strength retention is a decent proxy and it is free
comment on hair loss: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/sideeffects · 81 points · 2 months ago
Same pattern here. It settled at a stable dose without me doing anything clever.
comment on MHRA is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/glp1uk · 1 points · 2 months ago
Cosigning on discharge at goal. It catches people who have done everything right and did not know it was coming.
comment on week 73 check-in — 28kg down, early fullness manageable, one thing confusing me in c/sideeffects · 44 points · 2 months ago
sulphur burps are unpleasant and they are not dangerous
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring appetite at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1science · 31 points · 2 months ago
Disagree. That is a preclinical finding in a rodent model and you are stating it as human pharmacology.
comment on reflux — 18 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/sideeffects · 128 points · 2 months ago
Mine settled at week 62 and has not come back since, across two more steps.
comment on incretin: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/glp1science · 107 points · 2 months ago
Do you have the paper, or a summary of it?
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring pharmacy at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1uk · 2 points · 3 months ago
Is this a discharge back to the GP, or a discontinuation?
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring pharmacy at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1uk · 25 points · 3 months ago
ask the pharmacy for the price list, not the headline offer
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring pharmacy at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1uk · 66 points · 3 months ago
Small fix — that is the Scottish pathway. The post is asking about England and the answer is different.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring pharmacy at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1uk · 51 points · 3 months ago
Correcting myself: the referral was 8 months ago, not the figure I gave. I keep rounding it down.
comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about UK is guesswork in c/glp1uk · 1 points · 4 months ago
tier 3 waiting lists are measured in years, not months
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify resistance training in c/glp1muscle · 38 points · 4 months ago
Are you comparing against your own baseline or against a published average?
comment on pharmacology is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/glp1science · 10 points · 5 months ago
Disagree.
Agreed — and it is why the central and peripheral stories are complementary rather than rival.
comment on is it normal to get reflux at week 5 in c/sideeffects · 37 points · 5 months ago
That reads like advice, and none of us can give it. Describe what you did, not what somebody else should do.
comment on three years of fatigue threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 5 months ago
A symptom that begins the day after the shot and fades by day four tracks the exposure curve. One that appears at random in week 82 probably does not, and that is worth saying to a clinician rather than to us.
comment on [Question] France — has anyone got a straight answer on UK in c/glp1uk · 1 points · 7 months ago
discharge at goal back to the GP is where a lot of people fall over
comment on what would you tell week-1 you about reflux in c/sideeffects · 10 points · 7 months ago
Same pattern here. It settled at a stable dose without me doing anything clever.
comment on what would you tell week-1 you about reflux in c/sideeffects · 72 points · 7 months ago
Nothing in this thread is medical advice, including this comment. I am describing a mechanism, not telling anybody what to do about their own week.
comment on three years of protein threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/glp1muscle · 9 points · 7 months ago
the scale cannot distinguish tissue types and never could
ahmed_fonseca is right that protein becomes a logistics problem when appetite drops.
comment on anyone else notice resistance training kicking in around week 92 in c/glp1muscle · 1 points · 8 months ago
Push back: strength dropping in a deficit is not the same as lean mass loss. Related, not identical.
comment on is it normal to get injection-site soreness at week 44 in c/sideeffects · 14 points · 8 months ago
fibre and water before you buy anything to fix it
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify heart rate in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 8 months ago
Constipation is mostly reduced intake plus reduced fluid, not a direct effect. That is why the boring fibre and water answer keeps working.
comment on [Question] New Zealand — has anyone got a straight answer on shortage in c/glp1aus · 6 points · 8 months ago
Registration by the therapeutic goods regulator establishes that a product may be supplied. Subsidy listing is a separate decision about public funding, with its own criteria and its own timetable.
comment on am I the only one who found resistance training harder than the injections in c/glp1muscle · 120 points · 8 months ago
Yes. Nobody here is prescribing training or nutrition and the good posts say so.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify heart rate in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 8 months ago
sulphur burps are unpleasant and they are not dangerous
ferran_dahlberg is right about the timing. The day-of-week pattern is the diagnostic bit, not the severity.
comment on switched from 0.5mg to 1.7mg and injection-site soreness got better, not worse in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 9 months ago
Has anything else changed in the same window?
comment on switched from 0.5mg to 1.7mg and injection-site soreness got better, not worse in c/sideeffects · 64 points · 9 months ago
Right, and the hair thing is worth repeating: it tracks the rate of loss rather than the compound, and it stops.
comment on does New Zealand actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/glp1aus · 50 points · 9 months ago
Agreed. Registration and subsidy are separate decisions and half the confusion here is treating them as one.
comment on [Question] the UK — has anyone got a straight answer on New Zealand in c/glp1aus · 14 points · 10 months ago
Compounded supply arrangements have changed materially in recent years. Advice predating that change describes a situation that no longer applies.
comment on what changed for me between month 2 and month 9 in c/sideeffects · 44 points · 11 months ago
Nobody warned me about reflux and I would have liked the warning. It was not dangerous, it was just deeply unpleasant and completely unexpected.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify pharmacy in c/glp1uk · 54 points · 11 months ago
the Irish scheme cap is the single most useful fact in this board
comment on the half-life question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/glp1science · 54 points · 1 year ago
That study was in a rodent model. Worth stating, since the thread has been reading it as human data.
comment on the lean mass thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/glp1muscle · 20 points · 1 year ago
DEXA has a real error margin and people quote it to one decimal
comment on help me understand nausea, I have read the wiki twice in c/sideeffects · 434 points · 1 year ago
Disagree. Severe abdominal pain is not on the list of things to wait out, and this board should not be treating it as one.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify DEXA in c/glp1muscle · 30 points · 1 year ago
Retitled — the original claimed a composition change the scans cannot distinguish.
Agreed — and same machine, same conditions, or the two scans are not comparable.
comment on Canada: Australia, and what it actually costs here in c/glp1aus · 30 points · 1 year ago
pharmacy stock and national supply are different questions
