holding a dose an extra month is a legitimate answer to bad tolerance

I would not round that figure. At 5mg/mL a rounding error of two units is a real fraction of the intended amount.

comment on does discontinuation actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/tapering · 51 points · 8 months ago

With a week-long half-life, exposure declines over several weeks after the last dose rather than stopping with it. The lag is why the first fortnight is uninformative.

Cosigning on lot matching. It sounds trivial and it predicts almost everything else about how an operation is run.

Agreed. Appetite is the leading indicator and the scale is the lagging one. Watch the first, not the second.

Yes. Writing 20mg/mL on the vial takes four seconds and removes the entire class of error this board exists to fix.

The wider-market rows in the directory carry a band and a report count and nothing else, deliberately. Anything more would be manufacturing precision that the evidence does not support.

Not convinced. Interval stretching changes your exposure profile, not just the total, and the two are not equivalent.

Adding more water does not change how much peptide is in the vial. It changes the concentration, which changes the volume you draw for the same amount. That is the entire relationship.

Yes, and the reason the wider-market table has no scores is that a score built on two reports would be a lie with a decimal point.

Show the arithmetic — where did the unit figure come from?

Risynth Bio came up in three threads the week I was ordering and I could not find a single independent result for them anywhere. Went with a documented supplier instead.

comment on help me understand nausea, I have read the wiki twice in c/sideeffects · 14 points · 1 year ago

Agreed. Slowing down at meals did more for my early fullness than everything I bought to fix it, which was embarrassing to discover.

Correcting myself upthread: appetite returned at week 13 for me, not the week I posted.

That is a pause rather than a stop, and the plans for the two are not the same.

Two years at maintenance. The logistics are the only remaining work — ordering, storing, remembering.

Yes. The central component is the one that explains the reports on this site better than gastric emptying does.

This. Decide in advance what you are watching for. Deciding in the middle of it is much harder.

This. Albumin binding and modification are why the half-life is what it is, and it is a design decision rather than an accident.

Went back on after eight months away. Nobody here made me feel bad about it, which mattered more than I expected.

hair shedding follows the weight loss, not the drug, and it stops

priya_weiss is right about the timing. The day-of-week pattern is the diagnostic bit, not the severity.

if the maths gives you a fraction of a unit, change the concentration

Correcting myself above: I wrote the concentration the wrong way up. Mass over volume, not volume over mass.

comment on [Question] mg/mL — what am I missing here in c/reconstitution · 117 points · 1 year ago

comment on [Question] mg/mL — what am I missing here in c/reconstitution · 156 points · 1 year ago

the powder cake sits at the bottom, the volume you add is the volume that counts

permalink

comment on [Question] mg/mL — what am I missing here in c/reconstitution · 202 points · 1 year ago

The lyophilised cake displaces a small volume, so the true concentration is very slightly lower than the arithmetic suggests.

This is the sentence that makes the rest unnecessary. Write it on the vial and the problem is gone.
