Not sure that follows. You went up a step and changed your training in the same fortnight.

muscle cramps for the first eight days after each step, then nothing, every single time. Predictable enough that I started planning my week around it.

Domain age, registrar and certificate issuance date are all public and take about a minute to check. A site claiming years of history on a months-old domain is the cheapest signal available.

Yes. Week 71 is when almost everybody writes the "is it still working" post, and almost everybody is fine.

Same. A batch-specific document requested before payment costs nothing and filters an enormous amount.

comment on semaglutide is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/semaglutide · 669 points · 11 months ago

The weekly interval comes out of the half-life — roughly a week — so you are on a smooth curve rather than a series of spikes. That is also why moving your day slightly does very little.

Weight change and appetite change are different endpoints on different timescales. Conflating them is where most of the confusion on this board starts.

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about formulary until somebody posts a number in c/glp1canada · -22 points · 1 year ago

National regulatory approval establishes that a product may be sold. Whether any plan pays for it is a separate decision, and public drug plans are administered provincially.

Careful, that criterion was updated at renewal and the version you are quoting is superseded.

Push back: "gentler than sema" is a population statement. Plenty of people on this board have the opposite experience and they are not doing it wrong.

Ask for the batch-specific certificate before payment. Any operation with a quality system behind it can produce one; the request costs you nothing and it filters hard.

That reads like a titration plan and this board cannot give you one. Somebody who actually knows your history has to.

Correction to my own post above — I said 10mg and I have been on 12.5mg since the spring. Same argument, wrong number.

Weight change and appetite change are different endpoints on different timescales.

This is the part I would underline for anyone skimming. Everything else in the thread is downstream of it.

Disagree. 2.4 is the top of the label, not the goal, and "everyone ends up there" is just survivorship in the posts you read.

Mine settled at week 16 and has not come back since, across two more steps.

Yes — 10mg being a genuine landing place for a lot of people is underrated. There is no medal for 15.

comment on [PSA] gallbladder is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/sideeffects · 45 points · 1 year ago

A symptom that begins the day after the shot and fades by day four tracks the exposure curve. One that appears at random in week 62 probably does not, and that is worth saying to a clinician rather than to us.

permalink

comment on the compounding question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/compounding · 64 points · 1 year ago

This. Compounded preparations carry no equivalence claim, and treating them as generics is a category error people make constantly.

permalink

comment on the sulphur burps thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 1 year ago

Correction: that is a known effect of reduced intake rather than a direct drug effect. The distinction matters because the fix is different.

comment on [Meta] the PDF metadata rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/scamalerts · 1 points · 1 year ago

Group buys concentrate custody, payment and communication in one person with no structure behind it. That is not an accusation about anyone — it is a description of the risk shape.

sema is weekly for a reason, the half-life does the smoothing

This is the part I would underline for anyone skimming. Everything else in the thread is downstream of it.

hair shedding follows the weight loss, not the drug, and it stops

permalink

comment on [Question] SURMOUNT — what am I missing here in c/tirzepatide · 45 points · 1 year ago

The distribution matters more than the mean. In the trial population the interquartile spread was wide enough that two honest people can have completely different runs on the same arm.

comment on [Vendor] MKM vs CPC on the same compound, same month — both cleared 97.0% in c/semaglutide · 1 points · 1 year ago

Agreed, and the bit people skip is that the ladder is a tolerance ladder. It is not a potency ranking.

permalink

Potency and sterility testing on the finished preparation are separate from any certificate covering the starting material. Ask which you are being shown.

This.

thyroid_tangent is right that the two molecules are not interchangeable. There is no published conversion and the ones circulating are invented.

Cosigning the four-week thing. It is a minimum interval, and treating it as a schedule to keep up with is how people end up miserable at 12.5.
