comment on [Regulatory] 503A vs 503B in one paragraph, because everyone conflates them in c/compounding · 24 points · 2 days ago

What is the beyond-use date and what is it based on?

permalink

comment on i stopped eating at 70% full and the vomiting stopped entirely in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 2 days ago

the food noise going quiet is the effect people came for, and reflux is the toll for the first fortnight

permalink

comment on asked my compounder where the API comes from. long silence. in c/compounding · 4 points · 2 days ago

A beyond-use date derived from published stability data means something different from one assigned by default rule. Asking which is a fair question and the answer is usually available.

comment on [Private Plan] my plan added a lifetime maximum halfway through my year in c/glp1canada · 7 points · 9 days ago

Employer-sponsored plans have their own criteria and appeal processes, independent of the provincial formulary. Which one applies determines everything about the route.

comment on my provider wants me at 1.0 in six weeks and i think that is too fast in c/semaglutide · 4 points · 15 days ago

The escalation schedule in the trials existed to keep people on the drug. It is a tolerability ramp, and it is why the label reads the way it does.

Never name an individual. The sidebar rule exists because the cost of being wrong falls on a person and the benefit of being right falls on nobody in particular.

comment on my gallbladder came out at month 7 and i would still do it again in c/sideeffects · 18 points · 23 days ago

This. A bad fortnight after a step is expected. A bad quarter is a reason to talk to somebody who knows your history.

comment on [Unverified] anyone else get a DM offering "wholesale pricing" in c/scamalerts · 1 points · 25 days ago

a cloned storefront copies the design, never the documentation

Not sure that follows.

Agreed, with one qualifier: that is the mean of the top arm and the spread around it was enormous.

comment on [Lab] split one vial across PeptideMeter and VendorInvestigate — 98.4% and 97.2% in c/tirzepatide · 88 points · 1 months ago

Sulphur burps for the first eight days after each step, then nothing. Predictable enough that I planned my week around it.

nausea that arrives on day two and fades by day four is the standard shape

comment on [Discussion] the heart rate advice in here is 2 years out of date in c/sideeffects · 2 points · 2 months ago

Pushback: you changed the dose, the meal timing and the training in the same fortnight, so the attribution is guesswork.

comment on my ApoB moved and I cannot work out whether constipation is why in c/sideeffects · 10 points · 2 months ago

Bought four different things to fix my nausea. What actually worked was eating half as fast.

permalink

comment on my ApoB moved and I cannot work out whether constipation is why in c/sideeffects · 78 points · 2 months ago

fatigue plus low intake is usually just low intake

permalink

comment on genuine question about sulphur burps that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/sideeffects · 7 points · 2 months ago

Nothing in this thread is medical advice, including this comment. I am describing a mechanism, not telling anybody what to do about their own week.

permalink

comment on compounding is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/compounding · 8 points · 3 months ago

What concentration is on the label, and does it match what you were expecting?

permalink

comment on constipation: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/sideeffects · -31 points · 3 months ago

hair shedding follows the weight loss, not the drug, and it stops

permalink

comment on [Lab] 4th independent test on JEEP — 97.3% on a claimed 97.0%, and the trend is the interesting part in c/tirzepatide · 1 points · 4 months ago

Agreed, and the trial number is a mean of a very wide distribution — the tails are enormous and nobody posts from the middle.

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about private plan actually comes from Canada threads in c/glp1canada · 70 points · 4 months ago

National regulatory approval establishes that a product may be sold. Whether any plan pays for it is a separate decision, and public drug plans are administered provincially.

permalink

comment on anyone else notice constipation kicking in around week 7 in c/sideeffects · 3 points · 4 months ago

holding a dose an extra month is a legitimate answer to bad tolerance

permalink

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about cloned site is guesswork in c/scamalerts · 1 points · 5 months ago

Agreed. The clone copies the front page and never the paperwork, because the paperwork is the expensive part.

permalink

comment on 15mg: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/tirzepatide · 7 points · 5 months ago

Push back: "gentler than sema" is a population statement. Plenty of people on this board have the opposite experience and they are not doing it wrong.

503A or 503B — do you know which?

permalink

comment on reading sulphur burps threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/sideeffects · 9 points · 5 months ago

Mine settled at week 17 and has not come back since, across two more steps.

permalink

comment on someone explain Canada to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/glp1canada · 8 points · 6 months ago

Correction: that is regulatory approval, not coverage. They are separate decisions by separate bodies.

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about GIP actually comes from SURMOUNT threads in c/tirzepatide · 1 points · 6 months ago

I would separate the two claims. That the GIP arm exists is uncontroversial; that it explains your injection-site soreness pattern is a guess.

comment on [Results] 89 weeks on 1.7mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/semaglutide · 11 points · 6 months ago

protein first, then everything else gets easier

Right, and the timescale is the bit that keeps getting lost. Judge a step at a month, not at a weekend.

permalink

comment on small win: nausea stopped being a problem at week 58 in c/sideeffects · 0 points · 7 months ago

Correction: that is a known effect of reduced intake rather than a direct drug effect. The distinction matters because the fix is different.

permalink

comment on what would you tell week-1 you about reflux in c/sideeffects · 3 points · 7 months ago

Not convinced by that mechanism. Slowed gastric emptying explains fullness and reflux; it does not explain what you are describing.

permalink

comment on [Question] fake COA — what am I missing here in c/scamalerts · 6 points · 7 months ago

What did the storefront say the lead time was?

permalink

comment on switched from 5mg to 15mg and constipation got better, not worse in c/tirzepatide · 374 points · 8 months ago

The four-week interval in the label is a minimum. Nothing about the pharmacology requires you to step on schedule, and the trials stepped on a calendar because trials have to.

permalink

comment on genuine question about exit scam that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/scamalerts · 6 points · 8 months ago

a shop that will only talk off-platform has told you something

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about weekly dosing in c/semaglutide · 0 points · 8 months ago

Yes.

Disagree with this specific line. A pause at 2.4mg is not evidence that 2.4mg has stopped working.

permalink

comment on genuine question about exit scam that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/scamalerts · 3 points · 8 months ago

Correction: that domain is one character different from the one you posted, which is rather the point of this thread.
