comment on triple agonist: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/retatrutide · 79 points · 1 year ago

Sceptical of the extrapolation. Forty-eight weeks does not tell you about seventy-two, and the curve shape is exactly what is unknown.

Correction: TRIUMPH is the phase 3 programme. The number you are quoting is from the phase 2 readout, which is a different trial.

Agreed on seasonality. The same lane in February and August is not the same lane.

Agreed. The trend is the signal. A single value is a snapshot of one morning.

comment on what changed for me between month 7 and month 12 in c/newbiequestions · 51 points · 1 year ago

Careful — that is a dosing recommendation dressed as an anecdote, and this board removes those.

permalink

comment on genuine question about denial that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/insurancefights · 57 points · 1 year ago

Asked for the policy bulletin by number and wrote the appeal against its criteria line by line. Approved on the second level after a flat first-level denial.

comment on reading resistance training threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/glp1muscle · 192 points · 1 year ago

Hydration status and fasting state affect the lean mass estimate.

Disagreeing with this line: rate alone does not preserve lean mass. The training does.

Which province?

permalink

comment on the Netherlands: private plan, and what it actually costs here in c/glp1canada · 18 points · 1 year ago

Quantity limits restrict how much may be dispensed in a period even where coverage exists.

Disagreeing with this line: that is an employer plan process and the provincial one differs.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] the appeal advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/insurancefights · 218 points · 1 year ago

Appeal deadlines run from the date on the determination letter.

Disagreeing with this line: the deadline runs from the letter date and treating it otherwise is expensive.

Same. Door shelf is the worst place in the fridge and it is where everybody puts them.

comment on [Question] DHL — what am I missing here in c/intlshipping · 418 points · 1 year ago

Total transit decomposes into first mile, international leg, clearance and last mile.

This is why the lane table is organised the way it is. The supplier is not the unit.

Read the special authorization criteria and wrote the application against them line by line. Approved first time after a previous refusal.

Employer-sponsored plans have their own criteria and appeal processes, independent of the provincial formulary. Which one applies determines everything about the route.

The muscle cramps profile felt different rather than worse. Hard to describe and impossible to quantify, so take it as an impression.

comment on 3 months in and triple agonist is still the thing I get wrong in c/retatrutide · 764 points · 1 year ago

Went up slowly, deliberately, because everything on this board says the escalation is where trouble lives. Uneventful so far and I am not going to pretend that is a finding.

Stopped at a low step because there was no reason to go further and no data to tell me what further would do.

comment on [Discussion] lyophilised is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/coldchain · 24 points · 1 year ago

Gel packs are designed for a duty cycle. A liquid pack at the end of a longer-than-expected transit is a pack behaving as specified, not evidence of an excursion in the vial.

Yes — reconstitution date on the vial. It is the number you will want and cannot reconstruct.

Nothing here is medical or legal advice. The pharmacist and the prescriber are the people who can act, and both are faster than a forum.

Where did the time actually go — international leg, clearance, or last mile?

Same lane in a different season for comparison?

permalink

comment on [Question] carrier — what am I missing here in c/intlshipping · 22 points · 2 years ago

Correcting myself: 4 days, not the figure I posted upthread. I was counting from the order date rather than dispatch.

permalink

comment on [Question] carrier — what am I missing here in c/intlshipping · 150 points · 2 years ago

Median transit is the useful statistic. The minimum is a story about one shipment and the mean is dragged around by a single hold.

permalink

comment on [Question] carrier — what am I missing here in c/intlshipping · 1 points · 2 years ago

Was it shipped from a regional warehouse or from origin?

Small fix — three receptors, not two. GLP-1, GIP and glucagon, and the third one is the reason this compound gets its own board.

permalink

comment on [Results] 45 weeks, 14kg, and beginner was the hard part in c/newbiequestions · 2 points · 2 years ago

Small correction, said kindly: those are two different products with similar names, and the difference matters for a multi-draw vial.

permalink

comment on [Results] 27 weeks on 7.5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/glp1muscle · 82 points · 2 years ago

Hydration status and fasting state affect the lean mass estimate. Standardising both is the difference between a comparison and a coin toss.

Push back: your plan is an employer plan, which changes both the appeal path and who the regulator is.

marisol_moreau is right that this is documentation rather than persuasion. It took me a year to accept that.

the excursion that matters is the one after reconstitution

Agreed, and a logger costs less than the vial you are worrying about.

A transit temperature logger records a distribution, and time above a threshold matters as much as peak temperature. That is the argument for logging rather than guessing.
