comment on [PCOS] insulin resistance, cycles, and the thing that finally worked in c/glp1women · 7 points · 3 days ago

say what you are actually asking, the vocabulary here is imprecise

Yes. Pack sizes differ enough that per-month price comparisons across borders need to be normalised before they mean anything.

hair shedding follows the weight loss, not the drug, and it stops

comment on help me understand cycle, I have read the wiki twice in c/glp1women · 6 points · 22 days ago

Agreed — logging the cycle alongside everything else is what made my own pattern visible. It was invisible before that.

comment on my gallbladder came out at month 7 and i would still do it again in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 22 days ago

Hair shedding after significant weight loss is a telogen effect that follows the rate of loss. It is not specific to these compounds and it resolves.

comment on contraception: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/glp1women · 2 points · 26 days ago

The same dose genuinely feels different at different points in the month for me.

Disagreeing with this line: the absorption question has a product-specific answer and a pharmacist has it.

comment on the province question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/glp1canada · 1 points · 27 days ago

Those criteria were revised at renewal, so the version quoted upthread is out of date.

catalogue depth is not the same as catalogue quality

comment on someone explain fatigue to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/sideeffects · 12 points · 1 months ago

Flair set to Question.

Adding to this — holding the dose rather than stepping is the option people forget they have.

comment on [Question] New Zealand — has anyone got a straight answer on prescription in c/glp1eu · 1 points · 1 months ago

Careful, that guidance is from a different country and this thread is asking about somewhere else entirely.

permalink

comment on [Question] nausea — what am I missing here in c/sideeffects · 11 points · 1 months ago

Nobody warned me about sulphur burps and I would have liked the warning. It was not dangerous, it was just deeply unpleasant and completely unexpected.

a few kilos of drift is not a relapse

Not convinced. Interval stretching changes your exposure profile, not just the total, and the two are not equivalent.

lead times on unusual lines are the thing to confirm up front

comment on Canada is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/glp1canada · -5 points · 1 months ago

Compared cash prices across four pharmacies before pursuing coverage and the spread was larger than I expected.

Identity confirmed, or purity only?

permalink

comment on week 73 check-in — 28kg down, early fullness manageable, one thing confusing me in c/sideeffects · 81 points · 2 months ago

Right, and the hair thing is worth repeating: it tracks the rate of loss rather than the compound, and it stops.

permalink

Purity methods differ by compound class. A gradient and wavelength developed for one peptide will not necessarily resolve the relevant impurities of another.

Not convinced. Interval stretching changes your exposure profile, not just the total, and the two are not equivalent.

keep the prescription and the receipt, both matter for claims

permalink

comment on genuine question about sulphur burps that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/sideeffects · -14 points · 2 months ago

I would be careful here. "Everyone gets this" is not true, and it makes the people who get something unusual assume they are fine when they should be asking.

comment on the long term thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/maintenancephase · 9 points · 3 months ago

Careful — a dose reduction plan is a conversation with someone who knows your history, not a board consensus.

the lowest effective dose is a real target and nobody talks about it

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about thymosin in c/researchpeptides · 40 points · 3 months ago

Asked TFC which lines they keep in regional stock versus make to order and got a clear split. It changed what I ordered.

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about EU until somebody posts a number in c/glp1eu · 50 points · 3 months ago

Marketing authorisation is granted centrally for these products; reimbursement, pricing and prescribing criteria are national competences. Those are decided by different bodies with different processes.

Drifted up 21kg over a winter and panicked. It came back off without any change, which is apparently just what weight does.

None of this is a taper plan. What dose holds for you is a question for somebody with your history in front of them.

permalink

comment on three years of fatigue threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/sideeffects · 19 points · 5 months ago

Has anything else changed in the same window?

Agreed, with the caveat that "usually settles" is not "always settles" and the exceptions should still get asked about properly.

ask for the Beipackzettel or the local equivalent, it answers most questions

permalink

comment on reading identity threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/researchpeptides · 12 points · 6 months ago

Disagree — that name refers to at least two different molecules depending on who is selling it.

Adding the practical question — stocked or made to order, and what is the lead time.

permalink

comment on genuine question about private plan that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/glp1canada · 16 points · 7 months ago

What did the denial actually say?

Agreed — write the application against the published criteria rather than around them.

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring long term at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/maintenancephase · 0 points · 7 months ago

Stretched from seven to ten days and then to twelve over about four months. Appetite told me where the limit was before the scale did.

permalink

permalink

comment on small win: fertility stopped being a problem at week 55 in c/glp1women · 59 points · 8 months ago

Perimenopause and all of this at once, and there is essentially nothing written about the combination anywhere.

permalink

comment on dose stretching: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/maintenancephase · 185 points · 8 months ago

Dose reduction and interval extension are different interventions. Halving the dose keeps the rhythm and lowers the level; stretching keeps the level and lowers the frequency, with a lower trough.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring EU at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1eu · 5 points · 8 months ago

Correction: that is the authorisation position, and the question was about reimbursement. Different bodies, different answers.
