my ferritin moved and I cannot work out whether tracking is why
my ferritin moved and I cannot work out whether tracking is why, and I am aware this is a minority view on this board. Attribution requires that one thing change at a time. A log with dose, training and intake all moving in the same fortnight cannot assign anything to any of them. Annotation is what makes a log…
A log is a record of what you did. It is not a protocol, and posting one as a schedule for other members is a different thing that this board does not do.
Small fix — that is a reconstructed entry rather than a contemporaneous one, and the post presents it as the latter.
What is the one column you added late and wish you had from the start?
Correcting my own log post above: I had the dose recorded wrongly for one fortnight and have amended it.
Contemporaneous records do not drift; reconstructed ones do, and the drift is systematic rather than random because memory smooths.
That is a waist figure in the weight column. Easy mistake and it makes the chart look dramatic.
A log is only interpretable if the conditions are consistent. Same day, same time, same state, same scale — otherwise you are recording measurement variability rather than change.

hugo_pires is right about blanks. Silent gaps make the series lie.

Disagreeing with this bit: daily weighing gives you noise and costs you something.
