comment on [Results] 51 weeks on 1.7mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/bloodwork · 32 points · 11 months ago

lab reference ranges are not treatment targets

comment on [Question] cloned site — what am I missing here in c/scamalerts · 60 points · 11 months ago

Domain age, registrar and certificate issuance date are all public and take about a minute to check. A site claiming years of history on a months-old domain is the cheapest signal available.

net peptide content and purity are two different numbers on the same vial

Four observations is not a distribution.

Adding the field everyone forgets — the month. Without it the report is not comparable to anything.

Correcting myself: 9 days, not the figure I posted upthread. I was counting from the order date rather than dispatch.

Right, and the last mile is where my variance has always come from, not the international leg.

Careful with the mechanism claim. Glucagon agonism is plausible as an explanation and it has not been isolated as the operative one.

comment on [Question] Canada — has anyone got a straight answer on carrier in c/intlshipping · 162 points · 1 year ago

Packaging is assessable on arrival with no equipment: rigid outer, no movement inside, the cold element sized to the transit rather than to the box.

comment on SURPASS — 17 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/trialwatch · 12 points · 1 year ago

Intention-to-treat analyses everybody randomised regardless of what they did afterwards. Completer analyses only those who finished. The second is systematically more flattering and both are legitimate if labelled.

comment on [Vendor] BCH order #17 — Germany, 12 days, no drama, receipts inside in c/intlshipping · 10 points · 1 year ago

Correction: that was clearance time, not carrier time. The lane table separates them for exactly this reason.

4 days on a lane quoted at 4 is the shape you want

Same view. SGN prints the column and the gradient, which means somebody could actually reproduce the run.

comment on [PSA] cloned site is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/scamalerts · 1 points · 1 year ago

Ask for the batch-specific certificate before payment.

Adding the practical version: buy small from anyone new, test it, then decide.

Started keeping a folder of every certificate I have been sent. The ones that itemise impurities are a small group and they are mostly the same suppliers.

Clearance took three days and the carrier took nine. I had been blaming the wrong half for two years.

Careful — that is a question for whoever ordered the panel, and nobody in this thread can answer it responsibly.

Disagree that a lower number is automatically worse. A conservative claim that survives testing is worth more than an optimistic one that does not.

Nothing containing this compound is approved anywhere. Research-use-only material is not approved for human use.

Same. A batch-specific document requested before payment costs nothing and filters an enormous amount.

permalink

Yes — regional stock is the single biggest variable and it barely gets mentioned outside this board.

permalink

Discontinuation rates are a tolerability result. A trial with a strong efficacy number and heavy discontinuation is telling you two things and people only quote one.

Water content 3.8%, acetate 6.2%, purity 99%, net peptide about 90% of label weight. All four numbers honest, and I had to read it twice.
