comment on i stopped eating at 70% full and the vomiting stopped entirely in c/sideeffects · 25 points · 5 days ago

Reflux was the one that got me. Stopped eating in the three hours before bed and it went from nightly to almost never.

hair shedding follows the weight loss, not the drug, and it stops

holding a dose an extra month is a legitimate answer to bad tolerance

Hair shedding after significant weight loss is a telogen effect that follows the rate of loss. It is not specific to these compounds and it resolves.

Yes — nobody here is your clinician, and the good answers on this board all end with that.

reimbursement is national, not European, and that is the whole board

comment on genuine question about sulphur burps that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/sideeffects · 124 points · 2 months ago

Nobody warned me about fatigue and I would have liked the warning. It was not dangerous, it was just deeply unpleasant and completely unexpected.

Titration is a tolerance ladder. Each step exists so the gastrointestinal effects settle before the next increase, which is why the intervals are what they are.

Did you write the concentration on the vial?

research-use-only material is not approved for human use, and that belongs in every beginner thread

nl_verzekering has explained this better than the wiki does, which is saying something.

comment on constipation: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 3 months ago

Small fix — the shedding follows the rate of weight loss, not the compound, and it is temporary.

comment on sulphur burps are the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 4 months ago

The effect on gastric emptying is most pronounced early and attenuates with continued dosing, which is the mechanism behind the "it settles at a stable dose" pattern the whole board reports.

ask the dumb question, three other people are searching for it

Held the dose for an extra six weeks instead of stepping. The food noise settled and I lost the same amount anyway.

comment on basics — my 18-week log, condensed into one table in c/newbiequestions · 84 points · 5 months ago

Concentration is mass over volume, and a U-100 syringe reads 100 units per millilitre. Those two facts are the whole of the arithmetic this board keeps explaining.

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring gallbladder at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/sideeffects · 7 points · 10 months ago

Pushback: you changed the dose, the meal timing and the training in the same fortnight, so the attribution is guesswork.

Adding to this — holding the dose rather than stepping is the option people forget they have.

This. The published reimbursement criteria are the document to read, and most member states do publish them.

Pharmacy margins and dispensing fees are regulated nationally, which explains price differences that otherwise look arbitrary.

Week 21 for me was completely flat and I was convinced something was wrong.

The fatigue turned out to be that I was eating about a third of what I thought I was. Tracked it for a week and the mystery evaporated.

Disagree. Severe abdominal pain is not on the list of things to wait out, and this board should not be treating it as one.

Right, and writing the concentration on the vial is the single best habit anyone here can start with.

Kept the prescription and the receipt for a claim, purely because a thread here told me to. Both were requested.

The injection was scarier in my head than in reality.

Agreed, and for anyone finding this later: that is the normal experience, not a warning sign.
