comment on [Titration] 12 weeks per step is not too slow, it is just unfashionable in c/tirzepatide · 304 points · 14 days ago
SURMOUNT-1 ran 72 weeks with the top arm around 21% mean body weight change. SURPASS is the diabetes programme and reports glycaemic endpoints, so quoting the two interchangeably is a category error.
comment on anyone else notice tirzepatide kicking in around week 13 in c/tirzepatide · 249 points · 1 months ago
Weekly dosing again, half-life in the same neighbourhood as sema, so a step change takes about a month to reach steady state. Judging a new step at day five is judging noise.
comment on what would you tell week-1 you about GIP in c/tirzepatide · 15 points · 1 months ago
the early fullness profile is genuinely gentler than people expect coming from sema
comment on [PSA] PeptideMeter results are area% by default and people keep forgetting in c/tirzepatide · 3 points · 2 months ago
5kg over 29 weeks, never went past 10mg, and reflux stayed mild the whole way. Posting because the loud threads are all 15mg.
comment on [Lab] split one vial across Medutest and Janoshik — 99.3% and 98.7% in c/tirzepatide · -23 points · 2 months ago
sulphur burps are the signature complaint and they are not dangerous
comment on [Lab] split one vial across Janoshik and Medutest — 99.2% and 96.2% in c/tirzepatide · 130 points · 3 months ago
Are you comparing yourself with the trial mean or with the people who post the most?
comment on Zepbound — my 8-week log, condensed into one table in c/tirzepatide · 42 points · 3 months ago
Not sure about this bit.
This. The step interval is a floor, and reading it as a timetable is the most expensive mistake in the thread.
comment on [Lab] 4th independent test on JEEP — 97.3% on a claimed 97.0%, and the trend is the interesting part in c/tirzepatide · 18 points · 4 months ago
week 10 is early to draw any conclusion at all
comment on three years of 15mg threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/tirzepatide · 131 points · 8 months ago
It is a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist, and the GIP arm is the part that has no equivalent in the semaglutide threads.
samir_falk is right that the two molecules are not interchangeable. There is no published conversion and the ones circulating are invented.
comment on how much of what we believe about tirzepatide actually comes from 15mg threads in c/tirzepatide · 229 points · 10 months ago
Push back: "gentler than sema" is a population statement. Plenty of people on this board have the opposite experience and they are not doing it wrong.
comment on small win: Mounjaro stopped being a problem at week 66 in c/tirzepatide · 43 points · 10 months ago
stepping every four weeks is a ceiling on speed, not a schedule you must hit
comment on the GIP question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/tirzepatide · 8 points · 11 months ago
Research-use-only material is not approved for human use.
Agreed, with one qualifier: that is the mean of the top arm and the spread around it was enormous.
comment on [Results] 63 weeks on 5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/tirzepatide · 87 points · 1 year ago
pens and vials are the same molecule, the price is the difference
comment on how much of what we believe about Mounjaro actually comes from SURMOUNT threads in c/tirzepatide · 1 points · 1 year ago
the four-week step schedule is the label, not folklore
comment on [Question] is 93.7% actually fine or am I being sold a rounding error in c/tirzepatide · 77 points · 1 year ago
2.5 is the starter dose and it is not meant to be the dose that works
comment on [Vendor] ERP vs SGN on the same compound, same month — both cleared 98.0% in c/tirzepatide · 56 points · 1 year ago
stepping every four weeks is a ceiling on speed, not a schedule you must hit
comment on [Results] 66 weeks on 15mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/tirzepatide · 23 points · 1 year ago
Right. And the sema-to-tirz "conversion" people post is invented. There is no published equivalence.
comment on [Results] 47 weeks, 15kg, and GIP was the hard part in c/tirzepatide · 7 points · 1 year ago
Research-use-only material is not approved for human use. Anything in this thread about how a research vial "should" titrate is a discussion about chemistry, not a plan.
comment on what changed for me between month 6 and month 14 in c/tirzepatide · 33 points · 1 year ago
switching from sema is not a dose conversion, there is no clean equivalence
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify Mounjaro in c/tirzepatide · 1 points · 1 year ago
Yes — 10mg being a genuine landing place for a lot of people is underrated. There is no medal for 15.
comment on [Discussion] the GIP advice in here is 2 years out of date in c/tirzepatide · 71 points · 1 year ago
Careful with "everyone tolerates it better".
Not sure about this bit. The GIP arm being real does not tell you that it is what caused your particular week.
