comment on [PSA] your bac water is fine, your fridge door is not in c/reconstitution · 44 points · 2 days ago
Research-use-only material is not approved for human use, so treat everything in this thread as arithmetic about solutions rather than instructions fo
Disagreeing with this line only: adding more water is not a safety margin, it is a different divisor.
comment on [Explainer] why 1mL syringes cause overdoses and 0.3mL ones do not in c/reconstitution · -16 points · 3 days ago
Adding more water does not change how much peptide is in the vial. It changes the concentration, which changes the volume you draw for the same amount. That is the entire relationship.
comment on [Vendor] WXT order #4 — 8 days Wuxi to UK, cold pack still solid in c/vendorvetting · 6 points · 6 days ago
Core Peptides came up in three threads the week I was ordering and I could not find a single independent result for them anywhere. Went with a documented supplier instead.
comment on how many independent tests before you trust a vendor. my number is three in c/vendorvetting · 105 points · 9 days ago
A certificate with a purity figure and no method line is not falsifiable. You cannot reproduce it, you cannot check it, and it tells you nothing about how the number was produced.
comment on [PSA] a vendor-supplied COA is a marketing document until someone else agrees with it in c/vendorvetting · 5 points · 11 days ago
the source page log is more useful than the score above it
comment on the "our facility" photo on half these sites reverse-searches to a stock library in c/vendorvetting · 60 points · 12 days ago
Cosigning on lot matching. It sounds trivial and it predicts almost everything else about how an operation is run.
comment on someone explain units to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/reconstitution · 21 points · 20 days ago
The arithmetic in full: concentration is mass over volume, so 5mg into 1mL gives 5mg/mL. A U-100 syringe is graduated at 100 units per millilitre, so 0.5mg is 0.5 divided by 5 millilitres, which is 10 units.
comment on [Vendor] TFC quoted 11 days to Eastern Canada and hit it four times running in c/vendorvetting · 1 points · 27 days ago
Regional stock made more difference to my planning than anything else — ordering from a warehouse in Australia took the customs question off the table entirely.
comment on [Results] two years, and the second year mattered more than the first in c/progresspics · 0 points · 1 months ago
What was the non-scale thing that told you first?
comment on [PSA] batch is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/coa · 10 points · 1 months ago
Disagree that a lower number is automatically worse. A conservative claim that survives testing is worth more than an optimistic one that does not.
comment on why does nobody talk about bacteriostatic water in c/reconstitution · 6 points · 1 months ago
The arithmetic in full: concentration is mass over volume, so 10mg into 3mL gives 3.33mg/mL. A U-100 syringe is graduated at 100 units per millilitre, so 0.5mg is 0.5 divided by 3.33 millilitres, which is 15 units.
comment on Medutest is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/vendorvetting · 6 points · 1 months ago
Same view. A record you can read beats a rating you cannot inspect, every time.
comment on help me understand COA, I have read the wiki twice in c/coa · 26 points · 2 months ago
Yes — and the reason to ask for the whole page is that the interesting parts are the ones people crop out to fit a screenshot.
comment on how much of what we believe about Janoshik actually comes from PeptideMeter threads in c/vendorvetting · 80 points · 2 months ago
Yes. Spread across lots is the number that tells you about the process. A single high result tells you about a vial.
comment on how much of what we believe about mg/mL actually comes from insulin syringe threads in c/reconstitution · 22 points · 2 months ago
twice as much water halves the concentration and doubles the units for the same dose
comment on reading certificate of analysis threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/coa · 79 points · 3 months ago
Careful — "the metadata looks odd" is a reason to ask a question, not a conclusion. Re-issues are ordinary.
comment on the reship question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/vendorvetting · 17 points · 3 months ago
This. Ask for the batch record. The ones who send it inside a day have told you more than any review could.
comment on how much of what we believe about bacteriostatic water actually comes from dead space threads in c/reconstitution · 12 points · 4 months ago
Yes. Writing 10mg/mL on the vial takes four seconds and removes the entire class of error this board exists to fix.
comment on [PSA] purity is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/coa · 1 points · 4 months ago
ask for the storage condition the stability statement was written against
comment on does VendorInvestigate actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/vendorvetting · 1 points · 4 months ago
Peptidology shows up in threads constantly and has almost nothing on file
comment on three years of concentration threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/reconstitution · 2 points · 6 months ago
Spent 6 weeks confused about this until somebody drew the table for me. 10mg, 2mL, 5mg/mL, 2mg is 40 units. That is the whole thing.
comment on three years of concentration threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/reconstitution · 15 points · 6 months ago
15mg into 3mL is 5mg/mL, and 1mg of that is 20 units
comment on [Question] is 98.0% actually fine or am I being sold a rounding error in c/vendorvetting · 17 points · 6 months ago
Cosigning on lot matching. It sounds trivial and it predicts almost everything else about how an operation is run.
comment on [Discussion] dead space is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/reconstitution · 16 points · 7 months ago
That is sterile water, not bacteriostatic. Same appearance, different product, and it matters for a multi-draw vial.
comment on the dead space thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/reconstitution · 2 points · 7 months ago
I would not round that figure. At 5mg/mL a rounding error of two units is a real fraction of the intended amount.
comment on [Lab] 12th independent test on QST — 98.6% on a claimed 98.5%, and the trend is the interesting part in c/coa · 58 points · 8 months ago
water content is on there and everyone skips it
comment on certificate of analysis — 18 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/coa · 28 points · 9 months ago
Does the lot on the vial match the lot on the page?

the first person to notice was me, months after it started

How many mg in the vial and how many mL are you adding?
comment on [Discussion] the reconstitution advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/reconstitution · 39 points · 11 months ago
Spent 4 weeks confused about this until somebody drew the table for me. 5mg, 3mL, 1.67mg/mL, 0.5mg is 30 units. That is the whole thing.
comment on genuine question about bacteriostatic water that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/reconstitution · 31 points · 1 year ago
5mg into 1mL is 5mg/mL, and 0.75mg of that is 15 units
comment on three years of units threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/reconstitution · 91 points · 1 year ago
the number you write down is the number you will trust at 6am

comment on the progress thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/progresspics · 149 points · 1 year ago
Nothing on this board is medical advice, and rate, target and method are questions for somebody who knows your history.
comment on units — 21 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/reconstitution · 24 points · 1 year ago
Pushback on the syringe advice: a U-100 barrel reads units of volume. Calling them "doses" is how the confusion starts.
comment on units — 21 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/reconstitution · 39 points · 1 year ago
Aim the stream down the wall of the vial rather than into the cake. Reconstitution is a solubility problem, not a mixing problem, and mechanical shear does nothing helpful.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring VendorInvestigate at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/vendorvetting · 8 points · 1 year ago
Agreed on buying small first. The cost of a test is small next to the cost of committing to a supplier you have not checked.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring area percent at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/coa · -19 points · 1 year ago
Related substances itemised individually is a much stronger document than a single total, because it tells you the shape of the impurity profile rather than its size.
comment on [PSA] Janoshik results are area% by default and people keep forgetting in c/vendorvetting · 9 points · 1 year ago
That reads as a recommendation and the source pages deliberately are not. They are a record you use to make your own decision.
