fatigue is doing more work than we give it credit for. Not a hot take, just something I have not seen said plainly here. Held the dose for an extra six weeks instead of…

Yes. The structure of the document matters at least as much as the number printed on it.

I would not read that in vitro number across to a person. The conditions are nothing like physiological.

Cosigning the wiki point, and also: ask anyway. The wiki cannot tell you it understood your question.
comment on [Vendor] JEEP vs WXT on the same compound, same month — both cleared 98.5% in c/coa · 1 points · 1 year ago
The PDF creation date being later than the analysis date is usually a re-issue or a re-export. It is worth one question and it is not evidence of anything on its own.
comment on [Vendor] JEEP vs WXT on the same compound, same month — both cleared 98.5% in c/coa · 38 points · 1 year ago
LC-MS gives you identity; UV purity gives you a relative quantity. A document with the first and not the second, or the reverse, is answering half the question.
comment on the water content question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/coa · 1 points · 1 year ago
Asked for the storage condition behind the stability statement. Got it in a sentence. It is a two-line email and almost nobody sends it.
comment on [Results] 92 weeks, 29kg, and heart rate was the hard part in c/sideeffects · 60 points · 1 year ago
Not convinced by that mechanism. Slowed gastric emptying explains fullness and reflux; it does not explain what you are describing.
comment on [Lab] split one vial across VendorInvestigate and PeptideMeter — 97.2% and 96.8% in c/coa · 244 points · 1 year ago
Not quite. Two labs with different gradients can resolve a close-eluting impurity differently and both be reporting honestly.
comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about fatigue until somebody posts a number in c/sideeffects · 177 points · 2 years ago
Yes — the day-two-to-day-four window is so consistent across this board that it is almost diagnostic.

GIP is the arm people argue about because the biology is genuinely unsettled

Agreed — week two with nothing on the scale is so common it should be in the sidebar. It probably is.

A certificate of analysis is a document describing one batch: what was tested, by what method, and what the result was. Its value depends entirely on whether it names the batch and the method.
comment on [Question] purity — what am I missing here in c/coa · 415 points · 2 years ago
The four things a certificate must carry, and what each one is for.
Batch identifier ties the document to your vial; without it the document is about somebody else’s material. Date of analysis tells you when the number was true. Method — column, gradient, wavelength — is what makes the figure reproducible rather than asserted. Individual related substances give you the shape of what else is in there.
Everything beyond those four is welcome. Anything missing from them is a question to ask before you order, and in my experience the answer arrives quickly from the suppliers who have a batch record to draw it from.

redact your own name, never the batch details
comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about batch until somebody posts a number in c/coa · 262 points · 2 years ago
The document I was worried about turned out to be a re-issue with a later creation date. Asked, got the original, entirely ordinary.

comment on week 52 check-in — 14kg down, reflux manageable, one thing confusing me in c/sideeffects · -7 points · 2 years ago
The pattern almost everyone here describes, written out once so it can be linked.
A step up is followed by a rough window — commonly food noise arriving the day after the shot and easing by day four, worst in the first fortnight, then flattening out. At a stable dose it usually settles further. Constipation and fatigue tend to track intake and fluid rather than the compound directly, which is why the unglamorous answers work.
What sits outside that pattern: severe pain, symptoms that appear from nowhere weeks into a stable dose, or anything getting worse rather than better over a month. None of that is a board question and none of us can answer it for you.
comment on [Discussion] incretin is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/glp1science · 66 points · 2 years ago
The incretin effect is the observation that oral glucose provokes a larger insulin response than intravenous glucose at matched glycaemia, and the difference is mediated by gut hormones. That is the foundation the whole class sits on.

the first fortnight after a step is the worst of it, then it settles
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify hair loss in c/sideeffects · 239 points · 2 years ago
Severe or persistent abdominal pain sits outside the pattern this board can usefully discuss. The honest answer there is that it needs someone who can examine you.
