[Question] how do you actually verify hair loss

Question Clean Column ×6 Long Haul ×2 Slow Clap ×2

how do you actually verify hair loss, and I want the answer with the reasoning attached rather than just the conclusion.

Hair shedding after significant weight loss is a telogen effect that follows the rate of loss. It is not specific to these compounds and it resolves.

Most of the common complaints trace back to slowed gastric emptying — early fullness, reflux, nausea after a large or fatty meal. That is also why meal size and speed change the experience more than anything else.

The effect on gastric emptying is most pronounced early and attenuates with continued dosing, which is the mechanism behind the "it settles at a stable dose" pattern the whole board reports.

Sceptical readings welcome. The confident ones are the ones I distrust.

A symptom that begins the day after the shot and fades by day four tracks the exposure curve. One that appears at random in week 10 probably does not, and that is worth saying to a clinician rather than to us.

What is intake actually looking like — fibre and water especially?

reflux at night, try not eating in the three hours before bed

Severe, or unpleasant? They are genuinely different questions and the answers diverge.

sulphur burps are unpleasant and they are not dangerous

I would be careful here. "Everyone gets this" is not true, and it makes the people who get something unusual assume they are fine when they should be asking.

write down when it starts and stops, the pattern is the useful part

the injection-site soreness that arrives at week 85 out of nowhere is usually something else

the food noise going quiet is the effect people came for, and sulphur burps are the toll for the first fortnight

How long has it been going on for now?

holding a dose an extra month is a legitimate answer to bad tolerance

nobody warns you about how much of this is timing rather than dose

the first fortnight after a step is the worst of it, then it settles

Which day of the week relative to the shot does it hit?

Has anything else changed in the same window?

Constipation is mostly reduced intake plus reduced fluid, not a direct effect. That is why the boring fibre and water answer keeps working.

Severe or persistent abdominal pain sits outside the pattern this board can usefully discuss. The honest answer there is that it needs someone who can examine you.

Is it every week or did it start at a particular dose?

How long after a step up did this start?

Bought four different things to fix my constipation. What actually worked was eating half as fast.

smaller meals, earlier, is the boring advice that works

Not convinced by that mechanism. Slowed gastric emptying explains fullness and reflux; it does not explain what you are describing.

Nothing in this thread is medical advice, including this comment. I am describing a mechanism, not telling anybody what to do about their own week.

About c/sideeffects

Side-effect experience and management, with a strong bias toward the ones that are common and boring (nausea, constipation, reflux, fatigue, sulphur burps) and a hard line on the ones that are not (severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, jaundice, vision changes). This community is not a substitute for urgent care and the mods will say so bluntly.
