comment on [NHS] two years and four months on a tier 3 waiting list. timeline inside. in c/glp1uk · 28 points · 1 days ago

The online consultation asked me three questions, none of them about my history. I did not go ahead.

comment on [Discussion] the compounding gap was a symptom, not a solution in c/compounding · 20 points · 11 days ago

Did they name the facility?

comment on [Question] does the copay card stack with anything or is that a myth in c/insurancefights · 93 points · 12 days ago

Prior authorisation criteria are republished each plan year. A criterion that blocked you in one year may not exist in the next, so a denial is worth retesting after the turnover.

Cosigning on discharge at goal. It catches people who have done everything right and did not know it was coming.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about private prescription in c/glp1uk · 68 points · 1 months ago

Discharge from a specialist service at goal is a normal end point of that pathway. Whether prescribing continues in primary care afterwards is a local decision and is worth asking about at the start rather than at the end.

comment on [Results] 78 weeks on 7.5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/glp1muscle · 45 points · 1 months ago

Small fix — that is fat-free mass, not muscle mass. The scan cannot separate them the way the post assumes.

permalink

comment on [Question] France — has anyone got a straight answer on telehealth in c/compounding · 14 points · 1 months ago

Push back: "compounded is fine because a pharmacy made it" skips every question this board exists to ask.

comment on [Non-Scale Win] walked up the escalator instead of standing on it in c/progresspics · 91 points · 1 months ago

comment on [Lab] 6th independent test on HJ — 99.1% on a claimed 99.0%, and the trend is the interesting part in c/coa · 209 points · 1 months ago

Not quite. Two labs with different gradients can resolve a close-eluting impurity differently and both be reporting honestly.

comment on does resistance training actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/glp1muscle · 6 points · 1 months ago

Right — strength retention is a free proxy and it tracks better than most people expect.

nothing on this board is a training or nutrition prescription

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about MHRA actually comes from NHS threads in c/glp1uk · 15 points · 1 months ago

Push back: a private prescription is a separate route, not a shortcut through the NHS queue.

permalink

comment on help me understand purity, I have read the wiki twice in c/coa · 8 points · 1 months ago

My first certificate had a compound name, a percentage and a logo. I thought that was normal. It is not, and now I know what to ask for.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] the MHRA advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/glp1uk · 2 points · 1 months ago

GP said no in the spring, specialist said yes eighteen months later. Same person, same numbers.

non-scale victories count and they are the ones people remember

permalink

comment on the denial question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/insurancefights · 1 points · 2 months ago

Disagree with the tone strategy.

Adding the underused one — external review. Independent, binding where it applies, and hardly anybody gets that far.

permalink

comment on the COA thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/coa · 11 points · 2 months ago

Cosigning. The batch identifier is load-bearing, and a certificate that cannot be tied to the vial in your hand is not about your vial.

permalink

comment on the UK question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/glp1uk · 160 points · 2 months ago

Supply notices from the regulator describe expected availability at a national level. They do not predict what any individual pharmacy has on the shelf next week.

permalink

comment on [PSA] timeframe is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/progresspics · 43 points · 3 months ago

Agreed — text only was the best rule this board ever adopted. The posts are about what actually changed rather than about lighting.

permalink

comment on do related substances actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/coa · 61 points · 3 months ago

Careful — "the metadata looks odd" is a reason to ask a question, not a conclusion. Re-issues are ordinary.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring pharmacy at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1uk · 107 points · 3 months ago

Yes — the consultation that asks nothing tells you what kind of service it is.

permalink

comment on do related substances actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/coa · 227 points · 3 months ago

Agreed — the itemised related substances table is the difference between a document and a receipt.

permalink

comment on genuine question about API source that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/compounding · 11 points · 4 months ago

This. Compounded preparations carry no equivalence claim, and treating them as generics is a category error people make constantly.

permalink

comment on genuine question about shortage list that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/compounding · 14 points · 5 months ago

Same view. If the intake asked you nothing, the intake was a formality and you should factor that in.

permalink

comment on help me understand formulary, I have read the wiki twice in c/insurancefights · 16 points · 5 months ago

Cosigning on external review. It is a real mechanism, it is underused, and the deadlines are strict.

permalink

comment on help me understand lean mass, I have read the wiki twice in c/glp1muscle · 1 points · 6 months ago

losing weight slower does not automatically preserve more lean mass

permalink

comment on [Question] Australia — has anyone got a straight answer on tier 3 in c/glp1uk · 12 points · 6 months ago

This. The monthly pricing tracker is the most useful thing on this board and it works because nobody is allowed to link anything.

permalink

comment on [Question] is 98.3% actually fine or am I being sold a rounding error in c/coa · 1 points · 6 months ago

Sent one vial to PeptideMeter and Medutest.

katrin_girard has the distinction right — one is a fraction of the detector signal, the other is a fraction of the mass.

permalink

comment on does denial actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/insurancefights · 6 points · 6 months ago

Spent six weeks arguing in general terms and got nowhere. Two paragraphs quoting their own criteria turned it around in eleven days.

permalink

comment on is it normal to get food noise at week 20 in c/glp1muscle · -34 points · 6 months ago

DEXA has a meaningful coefficient of variation, and it differs between machines and protocols. Comparing scans from different clinics adds a systematic offset that is invisible on the report.

What exactly does the denial letter give as the reason?

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify appeal in c/insurancefights · 110 points · 7 months ago

Agreed.

This is the whole method. Answer the criterion they named, not the decision in general.

permalink

comment on switched from 1.0mg to 2.4mg and nausea got better, not worse in c/progresspics · 1 points · 7 months ago

I would not treat a two-kilo range as a regain. Weight varies day to day in everybody.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about related substances until somebody posts a number in c/coa · 22 points · 7 months ago

Water content 3.8%, acetate 6.2%, purity 99%, net peptide about 90% of label weight. All four numbers honest, and I had to read it twice.
