comment on [Paper] survodutide MASH data is the most interesting hepatic readout in the class in c/survodutide · 16 points · 1 days ago
Which phase and which arm are you quoting?
comment on [Caution] stacking with a sulfonylurea is a real hypo risk, not a theoretical one in c/t2dglp1 · 9 points · 1 days ago
Continuous monitoring shows the shape: postprandial excursions, overnight behaviour and time in range. Two people with identical A1c can have very different distributions.
comment on [PBS] listing status and what it actually does to out-of-pocket in c/glp1aus · 2 points · 2 days ago
Are you quoting advice from before the compounded arrangements changed?
comment on [Caution] stacking with a sulfonylurea is a real hypo risk, not a theoretical one in c/t2dglp1 · -32 points · 3 days ago
a1c can be affected by things that have nothing to do with glucose
comment on [CGM] what the postprandial curve actually looks like before and after in c/t2dglp1 · 1 points · 3 days ago
A1c is a three-month average and it lags everything
comment on [Trial Data] phase 2 biopsy endpoints, and what "resolution" means in c/survodutide · 4 points · 4 days ago
do not import intuitions from the obesity programmes
comment on [Trial Data] phase 2 biopsy endpoints, and what "resolution" means in c/survodutide · 10 points · 5 days ago
independent testing on this compound is very thin
comment on [Question] does the glucagon arm explain the heart rate signal in c/survodutide · 1 points · 7 days ago
research material is not approved for human use, which is why the clinical record here is thin
comment on [Discussion] AU and NZ get lumped together and the systems are nothing alike in c/glp1aus · 2 points · 7 days ago
Is this about registration or about subsidy?
comment on [Discussion] the weight conversation drowns out the glycaemic one in c/t2dglp1 · -43 points · 11 days ago
My ferritin moved and it turned out to have nothing to do with glucose at all.
comment on [Discussion] the weight conversation drowns out the glycaemic one in c/t2dglp1 · 51 points · 12 days ago
The diabetes and obesity programmes are separate, with different populations and different primary endpoints. Reading a result across from one to the other is not a comparison.
comment on [Question] A1c 5.6 but CGM says otherwise. which do i believe. in c/t2dglp1 · 4 points · 14 days ago
Incretin-based agents stimulate insulin secretion in a glucose-dependent manner, which is why hypoglycaemia risk with them alone is low. Risk rises with agents that act independently of glycaemia.
comment on am I the only one who found hepatic fat harder than the injections in c/survodutide · 0 points · 20 days ago
It is a dual agonist at the GLP-1 and glucagon receptors.
Adding the standing caveat — unapproved compound, research material is not for human use.
comment on [Management] injection site rotation map, zero lumps in 14 months in c/sideeffects · 72 points · 20 days ago
Severe, or unpleasant? They are genuinely different questions and the answers diverge.
comment on [Regret] told my whole family, then stopped, then had to tell them that too in c/darkspot · 0 points · 20 days ago
Agreed. The failures are the part that is missing from every other board, which is why this one matters.
comment on is it normal to get early fullness at week 88 in c/t2dglp1 · 19 points · 21 days ago
Kept fingersticks alongside the sensor for two weeks to sanity-check it. Worth doing once.
comment on is it normal to get constipation at week 7 in c/survodutide · 5 points · 29 days ago
Bought small because the evidence base is early. That is the only defensible position I could construct.
comment on anyone else notice hair loss kicking in around week 21 in c/sideeffects · 17 points · 1 months ago
Held the dose for an extra six weeks instead of stepping. The nausea settled and I lost the same amount anyway.
comment on New Zealand: shortage, and what it actually costs here in c/glp1aus · 24 points · 1 months ago
I would not treat one pharmacy’s quote as the national price. Variation between them is substantial.
comment on [PSA] hypoglycaemia is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/t2dglp1 · 71 points · 1 months ago
Disagree — that is an obesity trial endpoint and this thread is about glycaemic control.
comment on the gallbladder question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/sideeffects · 28 points · 1 months ago
Constipation is mostly reduced intake plus reduced fluid, not a direct effect. That is why the boring fibre and water answer keeps working.
comment on how much of what we believe about TGA actually comes from New Zealand threads in c/glp1aus · 6 points · 1 months ago
Personal importation provisions exist, are narrow, and carry conditions. Any summary of them here should be checked against the current official wording rather than a forum post.
comment on [Lab] GGPeps survo — VendorInvestigate came back 97.9% against a claimed 97.0% in c/survodutide · 10 points · 1 months ago
That is an escalation schedule for an unapproved compound and this board does not host those.
comment on stopped: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/darkspot · 4 points · 1 months ago
Most of what gets posted here is procedural rather than dramatic: a step skipped, a document not requested, a temperature not considered, a pace chosen out of impatience.
comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about lost money until somebody posts a number in c/darkspot · 4 points · 2 months ago
Told everybody, then stopped, then had to tell everybody that too. That was harder than any of the rest of it.
comment on reflux — 18 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/sideeffects · 7 points · 2 months ago
sulphur burps are unpleasant and they are not dangerous
comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about what went wrong is guesswork in c/darkspot · 17 points · 3 months ago
Same. The thing that went wrong for me was procedural and boring and it cost me a lot.
comment on someone explain metformin to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/t2dglp1 · 1 points · 3 months ago
The three numbers, and what each one can and cannot tell you.
Disagreeing with this line: that endpoint is from the obesity programme and does not answer the question.
comment on 6 months in and sulphur burps are still the thing I get wrong in c/sideeffects · 11 points · 3 months ago
fatigue plus low intake is usually just low intake
comment on anyone else notice failure kicking in around week 21 in c/darkspot · 7 points · 3 months ago
the regret is usually about pace, not about the decision
comment on someone explain shortage to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/glp1aus · 6 points · 4 months ago
do not import US advice into an Australian thread
comment on what would you tell week-1 you about heart rate in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 5 months ago
Disagree. Severe abdominal pain is not on the list of things to wait out, and this board should not be treating it as one.
comment on why does nobody talk about lost money in c/darkspot · 102 points · 5 months ago
Lost money to a shop that had nothing verifiable on file anywhere. Posting so that somebody searching that name finds this.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify A1c in c/t2dglp1 · 6 points · 5 months ago
metformin and an incretin agonist are not in competition
comment on three years of fatigue threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/sideeffects · 65 points · 5 months ago
Yes. Holding the dose is a real option and it does not mean you have failed at anything.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring PBS at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1aus · 5 points · 6 months ago
Australia or New Zealand?
comment on is it normal to get injection-site soreness at week 4 in c/sideeffects · 49 points · 6 months ago
This is the shape almost everybody here describes, and it is the single most reassuring thing in the thread.
Disagreeing with this one line: that symptom is not on the wait-and-see list and should not be posted as though it is.
comment on [Results] 83 weeks, 13kg, and CGM was the hard part in c/t2dglp1 · 67 points · 7 months ago
Disagree — that is an obesity trial endpoint and this thread is about glycaemic control.
comment on someone explain biopsy to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/survodutide · 5 points · 8 months ago
Cosigning on the glucagon arm. It is the mechanistic thread that connects the hepatic and the metabolic effects.
comment on [Question] New Zealand — has anyone got a straight answer on shortage in c/glp1aus · 7 points · 8 months ago
Agreed that the published criteria are the authority.
Adding the quickest step — ask the pharmacist to check the wholesaler.
