comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about ice pack is guesswork in c/coldchain · 2 points · 11 months ago
Split an order across two months deliberately to compare summer and winter transit on the same lane. Four days difference, same carrier.
comment on three years of seizure threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/customs · 94 points · 11 months ago
Which country, and which country did it ship from?
comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for personal import posts in c/customs · 6 points · 11 months ago
Small fix — those rules apply to commercial import. Personal import is governed separately and more narrowly.
comment on Spain: data logger, and what it actually costs here in c/coldchain · 12 points · 11 months ago
Correction: that stability figure covers the lyophilised powder, not the reconstituted solution. Different claim entirely.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify jurisdiction in c/customs · 1 points · 1 year ago

comment on does lost money actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/darkspot · 179 points · 1 year ago
Contemporaneous notes matter most in exactly the situations where people are least inclined to write them. Memory reorganises a bad fortnight into a tidier story with a clearer villain.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify mechanism in c/glp1science · 344 points · 1 year ago
GIP receptor biology is genuinely unsettled — there is a live argument about agonism versus antagonism at the receptor — and the clinical results are robust regardless, which is an uncomfortable and interesting position.
comment on [Meta] the 2.4mg rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/semaglutide · 158 points · 1 year ago
Steady state after a dose change takes four to five half-lives, so the fair judgement point on a new step is about a month, not four days.
comment on personal import — 11 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/customs · 24 points · 1 year ago
Clearance took four days and the carrier took eleven. I had been blaming entirely the wrong stage for a year.
comment on my ApoB moved and I cannot work out whether regret is why in c/darkspot · 1 points · 1 year ago
That was a hold rather than a loss, and it resolved. Updating rather than deleting.
comment on [Meta] the Wegovy rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/semaglutide · 37 points · 1 year ago
That reads like a titration plan and this board cannot give you one. Somebody who actually knows your history has to.
comment on packaging is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/coldchain · 285 points · 1 year ago
Do you know what storage condition the stability statement covers?
comment on the data logger question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/coldchain · 62 points · 1 year ago
light matters more than people think for some of these
comment on the data logger question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/coldchain · 84 points · 1 year ago
Lyophilisation removes the water that drives most degradation pathways. That is why the dry cake is comparatively robust and the reconstituted solution is not.
comment on anyone else notice weekly dosing kicking in around week 33 in c/semaglutide · 73 points · 1 year ago
the scale is the least sensitive instrument you own
comment on [Discussion] the packaging advice in here is 2 years out of date in c/coldchain · 318 points · 1 year ago
A stability statement is only meaningful with its conditions attached: temperature, duration, light exposure, and whether it covers powder or solution. Ask which.
comment on [Question] declared value — what am I missing here in c/customs · 2 points · 1 year ago
Asked somebody qualified locally rather than relying on this board. Best forty minutes I have spent on the topic.
comment on how much of what we believe about import actually comes from customs threads in c/customs · 18 points · 1 year ago
Right, and clearance time is not carrier time. Blaming the shipper for a customs queue is a category error.
comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for half-life posts in c/glp1science · 482 points · 1 year ago
That conflates receptor affinity with clinical potency. They are related and they are not the same thing.
comment on [Vendor] QYB vs HJ on the same compound, same month — both cleared 99.0% in c/semaglutide · 29 points · 2 years ago
Cosigning. The appetite change and the scale change ran about three weeks apart for me too.
comment on three years of receptor threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/glp1science · 13 points · 2 years ago
Disagreeing with this specific inference — that is a preclinical result being read as human pharmacology.
nadia_fonseca is right that mechanism gives direction and not magnitude. Worth pinning.

Cosigning on GIP. The genuinely interesting thing is that the biology is not settled and the clinical result is nonetheless robust.
comment on mechanism — 21 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/glp1science · -11 points · 2 years ago
GIP is the arm people argue about because the biology is genuinely unsettled
comment on [Vendor] WWB vs QST on the same compound, same month — both cleared 98.5% in c/semaglutide · 159 points · 2 years ago
What dose and how many weeks at it before this started?
comment on why does nobody talk about semaglutide in c/semaglutide · 75 points · 2 years ago
The weekly interval comes out of the half-life — roughly a week — so you are on a smooth curve rather than a series of spikes. That is also why moving your day slightly does very little.

comment on [Discussion] incretin is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/glp1science · 24 points · 2 years ago
Correcting my own comment: I attributed that to the GIP arm and the paper attributes it to the GLP-1 arm.
comment on [Discussion] incretin is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/glp1science · 35 points · 2 years ago
Do you have the paper, or a summary of it?

2.4 is a ceiling, not a target
