comment on [Pricing] ON vs AB vs BC, same product, same month in c/glp1canada · 0 points · 3 days ago

Has your plan renewed since the last time you applied?

comment on [Data] logger trace: 6 days transit, 41 hours above 8°C, powder was fine in c/coldchain · 64 points · 4 days ago

Which lane, and had it been quoted at that transit time?

permalink

comment on [Discussion] the Ontario answer is not the Alberta answer in c/glp1canada · 2 points · 6 days ago

compare cash prices before assuming coverage is the only path

permalink

comment on [PCOS] my androgens moved before my weight did in c/glp1women · 0 points · 14 days ago

Push back: PCOS as a diagnosis and insulin resistance as a finding are not interchangeable, and the thread is using them as one.

viktor_laurent is right that a diagnosis and a finding are different things here.

comment on [PCOS] my androgens moved before my weight did in c/glp1women · 8 points · 14 days ago

Correction: that trial did not enrol the population being discussed, so it cannot support the claim.

comment on three years of special authorization threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/glp1canada · 13 points · 16 days ago

Agreed on keeping every form and date. When something goes wrong the paper trail is the whole case.

permalink

comment on [Appeal] the modmail-first policy and why it exists in c/meta · 9 points · 24 days ago

sort by controversial occasionally, it is worth it

permalink

comment on [Milestone] AHI 34 → 9, the CPAP is in a cupboard in c/progresspics · 5 points · 28 days ago

Nothing on this board is medical advice, and rate, target and method are questions for somebody who knows your history.

permalink

comment on [Announcement] wiki rewrite finished — 22 community wikis live in c/meta · 1 points · 1 months ago

no referral links, no affiliate links, not once

permalink

comment on [Meta] the FLOW rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/trialwatch · 5 points · 1 months ago

Correction: SURMOUNT is the obesity programme and SURPASS is the diabetes one. The figure you quoted belongs to the other one.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] the archive-after-a-year policy: keep, change, or scrap in c/meta · 2 points · 1 months ago

Correction: that rule applies to the vendor boards specifically, not site-wide. The wording is on the rules page.

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for PeptideMeter posts in c/labresults · 31 points · 1 months ago

Cosigning on saying who paid. It is the whole basis on which this log is worth anything.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] stability is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/coldchain · 1 points · 2 months ago

What was the packaging — rigid outer, gel packs, anything insulating?

permalink

comment on 12 months in and orforglipron is still the thing I get wrong in c/orforglipron · 21 points · 2 months ago

Left up.

This is the fact the whole board hangs on. Small molecule, not peptide.

permalink

comment on small win: non-scale victory stopped being a problem at week 61 in c/progresspics · 19 points · 2 months ago

The first thing I noticed was a jacket doing up. The scale had been flat for three weeks at that point.

permalink

comment on the excursion thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/coldchain · 21 points · 2 months ago

A transit temperature logger records a distribution, and time above a threshold matters as much as peak temperature. That is the argument for logging rather than guessing.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] the endpoint advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/trialwatch · -18 points · 3 months ago

How long was the randomised phase before any extension?

permalink

comment on [PSA] milestone is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/progresspics · 102 points · 3 months ago

Nothing on this board is medical advice, and rate, target and method are questions for somebody who knows your history.

permalink

comment on [Question] Canada — what am I missing here in c/glp1canada · 5 points · 3 months ago

Those criteria were revised at renewal, so the version quoted upthread is out of date.

permalink

comment on [Question] endpoint — what am I missing here in c/trialwatch · 13 points · 3 months ago

a mean is not a promise

permalink

comment on [Question] endpoint — what am I missing here in c/trialwatch · 34 points · 3 months ago

intention to treat versus completers changes the number substantially

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about lyophilised until somebody posts a number in c/coldchain · 1 points · 3 months ago

Correction: that stability figure covers the lyophilised powder, not the reconstituted solution. Different claim entirely.

permalink

comment on [Results] 72 weeks on 12.5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/progresspics · 5 points · 3 months ago

Body weight varies by a couple of kilos day to day through fluid, glycogen and gut content, which is why a single weigh-in is noise and a fortnightly trend is signal.

permalink

comment on week 66 check-in — 26kg down, fatigue manageable, one thing confusing me in c/orforglipron · 41 points · 3 months ago

Yes — nothing containing this is approved anywhere, and the threads keep forgetting it.

permalink

comment on SURPASS — 24 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/trialwatch · 56 points · 4 months ago

Spent an evening with the appendix tables and found the subgroup detail that the entire thread had been speculating about.

permalink

comment on 8 months in and orforglipron is still the thing I get wrong in c/orforglipron · 7 points · 5 months ago

Push back: daily dosing is not automatically better adherence. It is a different failure mode, not a solved problem.

permalink

comment on 8 months in and orforglipron is still the thing I get wrong in c/orforglipron · 6 points · 5 months ago

Not convinced. Oral semaglutide is a peptide formulated with an absorption enhancer; the comparison you are making does not hold.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about SELECT in c/trialwatch · 1 points · 5 months ago

Correcting myself upthread: I gave the completer figure and labelled it intention-to-treat.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about SELECT in c/trialwatch · 1 points · 5 months ago

a press release is not a publication

permalink

comment on genuine question about data logger that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/coldchain · 18 points · 5 months ago

Gel packs are designed for a duty cycle. A liquid pack at the end of a longer-than-expected transit is a pack behaving as specified, not evidence of an excursion in the vial.

permalink

comment on [Meta] the moderation rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/meta · -12 points · 6 months ago

Same view — strict evidence rules make this board slower and make the archive worth reading in three years.

permalink

comment on someone explain FLOW to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/trialwatch · 41 points · 6 months ago

What did the confidence interval look like?

permalink

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about test results are guesswork in c/labresults · 34 points · 6 months ago

Is that the same lot as the one in the thread from last month?

permalink

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about ranking is guesswork in c/meta · 10 points · 6 months ago

ranked feeds mean the top comment is not the best answer

permalink

comment on SURPASS — 7 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/trialwatch · 3 points · 6 months ago

Same. A press release is a claim about a result; the publication is the result.

permalink

comment on genuine question about private plan that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/glp1canada · 17 points · 7 months ago

A rejected claim at the pharmacy counter and a denied authorization are different events with different remedies. The first can be an administrative or quantity issue; the second is a determination you can appeal.

Which service, and did you pay for it yourself?

permalink

comment on the Janoshik question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/labresults · 19 points · 7 months ago

Split one vial between VendorInvestigate and Medutest. The two numbers were within half a point of each other and I stopped worrying about which lab to trust.

Employer-sponsored plans have their own criteria and appeal processes, independent of the provincial formulary. Which one applies determines everything about the route.
