comment on genuine question about shortage list that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/compounding · 52 points · 5 months ago

salt forms are the recurring argument and the answer is boring

comment on the private prescription thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/glp1uk · 1 points · 5 months ago

private and NHS pathways are not a ladder, they are separate routes

permalink

comment on help me understand shipping, I have read the wiki twice in c/intlshipping · 0 points · 5 months ago

Asked GL Biochem which lines they hold regionally before ordering and got a straight list back.

This is why the lane table is organised the way it is. The supplier is not the unit.

do not assume reconstitution intuitions apply, there is nothing to reconstitute

permalink

comment on [Question] Ireland — has anyone got a straight answer on pharmacy in c/glp1uk · 13 points · 8 months ago

Discharge from a specialist service at goal is a normal end point of that pathway.

This is why national advice does not work here. It is commissioned locally and it varies.

comment on does discontinuation actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/tapering · 10 points · 8 months ago

Adding the one process step — write down where you are before you change anything.

neha_mwangi is right that regain is a documented outcome rather than a character verdict.

comment on small win: weekly dosing stopped being a problem at week 23 in c/semaglutide · 65 points · 8 months ago

Small correction: 2.4mg is the maintenance ceiling on the label, not the starting maintenance dose. The distinction matters for anyone reading this later.

comment on week 39 check-in — 12kg down, injection-site soreness manageable, one thing confusing me in c/bpc157 · 178 points · 8 months ago

Short peptides in solution are subject to hydrolysis and, depending on sequence, oxidation. Storage state and time in solution are practical variables that this board almost never discusses.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify carrier in c/intlshipping · 91 points · 9 months ago

Yes — regional stock is the single biggest variable and it barely gets mentioned outside this board.

permalink

comment on is it normal to get muscle cramps at week 86 in c/orforglipron · 48 points · 9 months ago

What did the tolerability table look like at that dose?

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about MHRA actually comes from pharmacy threads in c/glp1uk · 118 points · 9 months ago

That is Scotland’s arrangement and the post is asking about England.

permalink

comment on help me understand rodent data, I have read the wiki twice in c/bpc157 · 68 points · 9 months ago

pentadecapeptide, fifteen residues, and the sequence is public

permalink

comment on tried food noise for 14 weeks. here is what happened. in c/semaglutide · 40 points · 10 months ago

the first four weeks are a tolerance check, not a weight-loss phase

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about regulatory until somebody posts a number in c/bpc157 · 91 points · 11 months ago

a fifteen-residue peptide is easy to make and easy to make badly

permalink

comment on Ozempic: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/semaglutide · 24 points · 1 year ago

Yes. Week 95 is when almost everybody writes the "is it still working" post, and almost everybody is fine.

comment on someone explain telehealth to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/compounding · 1 points · 1 year ago

Kept the label from every vial. When the shortage status changed, having the paper trail made the conversation much shorter.

permalink

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about API source is guesswork in c/compounding · 1 points · 1 year ago

a telehealth intake that asks nothing has told you what it is

emil_okwuosa is right about the concentration trap. It breaks arithmetic that has been reliable for months.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify tier 3 in c/glp1uk · 14 points · 1 year ago

Not convinced — the US threads are a different system entirely and importing their advice here does real harm.

permalink

comment on three years of interval stretching threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/tapering · 30 points · 1 year ago

The habits are what carried it for a while. When they slipped, everything else followed, in that order.

permalink

comment on does compounding actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/compounding · 28 points · 1 year ago

do not assume the concentration matches the branded product

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify NHS in c/glp1uk · 1 points · 1 year ago

Disagree.

Agreed — and keeping the letters with dates is what makes any later challenge possible.

if a clinic will not name the facility, that is your answer

permalink

comment on genuine question about telehealth that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/compounding · 88 points · 1 year ago

ask which facility, then ask for their testing

permalink

comment on genuine question about telehealth that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/compounding · 69 points · 1 year ago

What concentration is on the label, and does it match what you were expecting?

permalink

comment on [PSA] write the concentration on the vial. that is the whole post. in c/semaglutide · 615 points · 1 year ago

stalling at 1.7mg is information, not a verdict

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about tier 3 actually comes from UK threads in c/glp1uk · 26 points · 1 year ago

This. The monthly pricing tracker is the most useful thing on this board and it works because nobody is allowed to link anything.

permalink

comment on the Wegovy question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/semaglutide · 101 points · 1 year ago

This matches me almost exactly, right down to the reflux showing up on the second day and being gone by the fourth.

permalink

comment on three years of shipping threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/intlshipping · 117 points · 1 year ago

Push back: comparing a July transit with a February one on the same lane is not a comparison.

permalink

comment on someone explain UK to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/glp1uk · 9 points · 1 year ago

Which pharmacy, and what did they quote for the month rather than the first month?

permalink

comment on someone explain UK to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/glp1uk · 0 points · 1 year ago

That is Scotland’s arrangement and the post is asking about England.

permalink

comment on the weekly dosing thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/semaglutide · 494 points · 1 year ago

That reads like a titration plan and this board cannot give you one. Somebody who actually knows your history has to.

permalink

comment on the compounding thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/compounding · 5 points · 1 year ago

the shortage list is the whole legal hinge and people skip it

permalink

comment on [PSA] lane is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/intlshipping · 146 points · 1 year ago

Yes — regional stock is the single biggest variable and it barely gets mentioned outside this board.

This is why the lane table is organised the way it is. The supplier is not the unit.

permalink

comment on appetite return — my 20-week log, condensed into one table in c/tapering · 4 points · 1 year ago

Same. A quiet fortnight after stopping tells you very little; the interesting part starts later.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] 503B is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/compounding · 209 points · 1 year ago

Asked which facility and got a name straight away. Looked it up, found the registration, felt considerably better about the whole thing.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about lane in c/intlshipping · 9 points · 1 year ago

declared value and description are the shipper’s decision, ask what they use

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about lane in c/intlshipping · 7 points · 1 year ago

The rigid outer with no rattle in it was the thing that told me most about that supplier, before I had tested anything.

Agreed — and the decomposition matters. Most people are blaming the international leg for a last-mile problem.

permalink

comment on my TSH moved and I cannot work out whether ACHIEVE is why in c/orforglipron · 7 points · 1 year ago

daily dosing changes adherence in both directions

permalink

Compared milligram figures across two completely different molecule classes in a comment. Deserved the correction.
