comment on ApoB over LDL-C and i will keep saying it in c/bloodwork · 6 points · 3 days ago
Is that the same assay, or did the lab change platforms?
comment on [Caution] CagriSema trial ratios are fixed-dose, do not extrapolate to self-mixing in c/cagrilintide · 9 points · 4 days ago
That result is preclinical. Worth flagging, since the thread has been reading it as human data.
comment on [Press Release] new phase 3 numbers, no publication yet, calm down in c/trialwatch · 6 points · 8 days ago
The press release said that; the publication says something more hedged. Worth reading both.
comment on [Discussion] FFMI not weight, or you will celebrate losing muscle in c/glp1muscle · 42 points · 9 days ago
the appetite effect makes eating enough protein a logistics problem
comment on [Explainer] the crypto discount is real and so is losing chargeback rights in c/cryptopay · 165 points · 9 days ago
nobody legitimate needs the payment in the next ten minutes
comment on intent-to-treat vs per-protocol explains half the arguments on this site in c/trialwatch · 28 points · 11 days ago
Cardiovascular outcome trials are powered for events, not for weight, and are typically run in a different population with different inclusion criteria. Reading a weight number out of one is reading a secondary endpoint.
comment on [Janoshik] JEEP reta 10mg — 98.9%, and yes i paid for it myself in c/labresults · 3 points · 16 days ago
If the report gives a mass spectrum as well as UV purity, say so. Identity and relative quantity are separate claims and the log tracks both.
comment on [Trial Data] nausea rates in the combination arm vs sema alone in c/cagrilintide · 19 points · 17 days ago
Disagree — you are quoting a combination arm as though it were monotherapy. Those are different results.
comment on [Question] creatine while eating 1,400 calories — worth it in c/glp1muscle · 1 points · 18 days ago
Push back: strength dropping in a deficit is not the same as lean mass loss. Related, not identical.
comment on [Caution] not approved anywhere. keep posts descriptive. in c/cagrilintide · 22 points · 21 days ago
Is there any independent purity data on this compound that you have seen?
comment on [Below Spec] 88% is not "basically fine" and i am tired of that reply in c/labresults · 102 points · 24 days ago
Inter-lab variance on this assay runs roughly a point either way, driven mostly by gradient and integration. Two results inside that band agree; they do not disagree quietly.
comment on [Vendor] HJ order #7 — Denmark, 4 days, no drama, receipts inside in c/cryptopay · 6 points · 25 days ago
Sent to the right address on the wrong chain years ago. Nothing to be done. That is the lesson I paid for.
comment on three years of SURMOUNT threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/trialwatch · 2 points · 28 days ago
Same. A press release is a claim about a result; the publication is the result.
comment on cagrilintide — 17 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/cagrilintide · 11 points · 1 months ago
Nothing containing this compound is approved as a standalone product, and research-use-only material is not approved for human use.
comment on SURPASS — 10 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/trialwatch · 15 points · 1 months ago
What did the confidence interval look like?

a mean is not a promise
comment on [Discussion] the ALT advice in here is 2 years out of date in c/bloodwork · 90 points · 1 months ago
Have you taken this to whoever ordered it?
comment on [Meta] the FLOW rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/trialwatch · 6 points · 1 months ago
Disagree — that figure is from the diabetes programme and you are quoting it as an obesity endpoint.
comment on [Discussion] protein is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/glp1muscle · 10 points · 1 months ago
Hydration status and fasting state affect the lean mass estimate. Standardising both is the difference between a comparison and a coin toss.
comment on [Janoshik] FGP cagrilintide — first independent number i have seen for it in c/labresults · 66 points · 1 months ago
date of analysis matters as much as the number
comment on tried A1c for 18 weeks. here is what happened. in c/bloodwork · 0 points · 1 months ago
Correction: that marker is reported in different units by different labs, which explains the tenfold difference you are seeing.
Disagreeing with this bit: that change is confounded by the weight loss itself and cannot be attributed.
comment on reading SURMOUNT threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/trialwatch · 4 points · 1 months ago
What was the comparator?
comment on tried A1c for 18 weeks. here is what happened. in c/bloodwork · 23 points · 1 months ago
How many weeks between the two measurements?

Do you have the publication or the press release?

amylin analogue, different receptor family, different story

comment on the bloodwork thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/bloodwork · 9 points · 2 months ago
nothing on this board interprets your results for you
comment on does SELECT actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/trialwatch · 17 points · 2 months ago
Retitled: the original quoted a diabetes endpoint as an obesity result.
hazard_ratio_hal is right about the programme names. They are different populations with different endpoints.
comment on help me understand chargeback, I have read the wiki twice in c/cryptopay · 34 points · 2 months ago
Right, and confirmations are the status.
This is the check that prevents the only genuinely unrecoverable mistake in this thread.
comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about chargeback is guesswork in c/cryptopay · 1 points · 2 months ago
Rate quotes expire because the underlying rate moves.
Disagreeing here: that is a network fee at a busy hour and it is not the supplier’s doing.
comment on [Question] endpoint — what am I missing here in c/trialwatch · 1 points · 3 months ago
Which trial, and which arm?
comment on [Question] endpoint — what am I missing here in c/trialwatch · 1 points · 3 months ago
Is that intention-to-treat or completers?
comment on [Question] endpoint — what am I missing here in c/trialwatch · -2 points · 3 months ago
The registered protocol is public.
Adding the check nobody runs — the registered protocol is public and takes two minutes to compare.
comment on is it normal to get injection-site soreness at week 87 in c/bloodwork · 42 points · 3 months ago
Agreed. The trend is the signal. A single value is a snapshot of one morning.
comment on three years of ApoB threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/bloodwork · 11 points · 4 months ago
My ferritin moved and I spent a fortnight convinced I knew why. The repeat six weeks later was back in range and I had changed nothing.
comment on how much of what we believe about endpoint actually comes from TRIUMPH threads in c/trialwatch · 15 points · 4 months ago
STEP is semaglutide obesity, SURMOUNT is tirzepatide obesity, they are not interchangeable
comment on how much of what we believe about eGFR actually comes from ferritin threads in c/bloodwork · 75 points · 5 months ago
Compared two draws across two labs and spent a week worrying before finding out the assays were different.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring batch at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/labresults · 3 points · 5 months ago
Correction: that is the claimed figure, and the measured one is the higher of the two in your own screenshot.
comment on [Question] Canada — has anyone got a straight answer on chargeback in c/cryptopay · 1 points · 5 months ago
screenshot the transaction hash, not the wallet balance
