comment on ApoB over LDL-C and i will keep saying it in c/bloodwork · 6 points · 3 days ago

Is that the same assay, or did the lab change platforms?

permalink

comment on [Caution] CagriSema trial ratios are fixed-dose, do not extrapolate to self-mixing in c/cagrilintide · 9 points · 4 days ago

That result is preclinical. Worth flagging, since the thread has been reading it as human data.

comment on [Press Release] new phase 3 numbers, no publication yet, calm down in c/trialwatch · 6 points · 8 days ago

The press release said that; the publication says something more hedged. Worth reading both.

comment on intent-to-treat vs per-protocol explains half the arguments on this site in c/trialwatch · 28 points · 11 days ago

Cardiovascular outcome trials are powered for events, not for weight, and are typically run in a different population with different inclusion criteria. Reading a weight number out of one is reading a secondary endpoint.

comment on [Janoshik] JEEP reta 10mg — 98.9%, and yes i paid for it myself in c/labresults · 3 points · 16 days ago

If the report gives a mass spectrum as well as UV purity, say so. Identity and relative quantity are separate claims and the log tracks both.

permalink

comment on [Trial Data] nausea rates in the combination arm vs sema alone in c/cagrilintide · 19 points · 17 days ago

Disagree — you are quoting a combination arm as though it were monotherapy. Those are different results.

permalink

comment on [Question] creatine while eating 1,400 calories — worth it in c/glp1muscle · 1 points · 18 days ago

Push back: strength dropping in a deficit is not the same as lean mass loss. Related, not identical.

comment on [Caution] not approved anywhere. keep posts descriptive. in c/cagrilintide · 22 points · 21 days ago

Is there any independent purity data on this compound that you have seen?

permalink

comment on [Below Spec] 88% is not "basically fine" and i am tired of that reply in c/labresults · 102 points · 24 days ago

Inter-lab variance on this assay runs roughly a point either way, driven mostly by gradient and integration. Two results inside that band agree; they do not disagree quietly.

comment on [Vendor] HJ order #7 — Denmark, 4 days, no drama, receipts inside in c/cryptopay · 6 points · 25 days ago

Sent to the right address on the wrong chain years ago. Nothing to be done. That is the lesson I paid for.

Same. A press release is a claim about a result; the publication is the result.

comment on cagrilintide — 17 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/cagrilintide · 11 points · 1 months ago

Nothing containing this compound is approved as a standalone product, and research-use-only material is not approved for human use.

permalink

comment on [Meta] the FLOW rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/trialwatch · 6 points · 1 months ago

Disagree — that figure is from the diabetes programme and you are quoting it as an obesity endpoint.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] protein is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/glp1muscle · 10 points · 1 months ago

Hydration status and fasting state affect the lean mass estimate. Standardising both is the difference between a comparison and a coin toss.

date of analysis matters as much as the number

permalink

comment on tried A1c for 18 weeks. here is what happened. in c/bloodwork · 0 points · 1 months ago

Correction: that marker is reported in different units by different labs, which explains the tenfold difference you are seeing.

Disagreeing with this bit: that change is confounded by the weight loss itself and cannot be attributed.

comment on does SELECT actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/trialwatch · 17 points · 2 months ago

Retitled: the original quoted a diabetes endpoint as an obesity result.

hazard_ratio_hal is right about the programme names. They are different populations with different endpoints.

comment on help me understand chargeback, I have read the wiki twice in c/cryptopay · 34 points · 2 months ago

Right, and confirmations are the status.

This is the check that prevents the only genuinely unrecoverable mistake in this thread.

permalink

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about chargeback is guesswork in c/cryptopay · 1 points · 2 months ago

Rate quotes expire because the underlying rate moves.

Disagreeing here: that is a network fee at a busy hour and it is not the supplier’s doing.

The registered protocol is public.

Adding the check nobody runs — the registered protocol is public and takes two minutes to compare.
