comment on [Results] A1c 9.1 → 5.4, full table, 14 months in c/t2dglp1 · 1 points · 1 days ago
Correction: that trial is the diabetes programme and the figure you quoted is its glycaemic endpoint, not a weight result.
comment on [Question] is 97.6% actually fine or am I being sold a rounding error in c/cagrilintide · 12 points · 24 days ago
That result is preclinical. Worth flagging, since the thread has been reading it as human data.
comment on reading goal weight threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/maintenancephase · 52 points · 1 months ago
Withdrawal studies in this class consistently show substantial regain after discontinuation. That is a pharmacological finding about a chronic condition, not a statement about anyone’s discipline.
comment on maintenance is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/maintenancephase · 54 points · 2 months ago
That reads like a taper schedule and this board cannot hand those out.
comment on [Lab] TFC cagri — Janoshik came back 98.1% against a claimed 98.0% in c/cagrilintide · 25 points · 3 months ago
Amylin is co-secreted with insulin and acts on satiety and gastric emptying through its own receptor complexes.
This is the distinction that keeps this board honest — different axis, not a stronger version of the same one.
comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for co-agonism posts in c/cagrilintide · 42 points · 3 months ago
Careful — that is a dosing intuition carried over from another board and there is no basis for it here.
comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for co-agonism posts in c/cagrilintide · 17 points · 3 months ago
phase 3 data will change most of what gets said here
comment on someone explain regain to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/maintenancephase · 11 points · 3 months ago

comment on satiety: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/cagrilintide · 60 points · 4 months ago
independent purity data on this compound is thin
comment on three years of T2D threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/t2dglp1 · 2 points · 4 months ago
This. Hypoglycaemia risk in this class is driven mostly by the other agents in the regimen.
comment on three years of T2D threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/t2dglp1 · 5 points · 4 months ago
Agreed on variability.
Agreed, and the glucose-dependence point is the reason the risk profile reads the way it does.
comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about dose stretching until somebody posts a number in c/maintenancephase · 25 points · 5 months ago
Interval stretching changes the exposure profile: with a week-long half-life, moving to ten or twelve days lowers trough concentration more than it lo
Agreed — and appetite is the leading indicator. The scale is the lagging one.
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify A1c in c/t2dglp1 · 22 points · 5 months ago
Panicked over a first-day sensor reading and rebuilt my week around it.
Adding the obvious one — bring the export, not the single number, to whoever manages this.
comment on [Results] 17 weeks, 6kg, and cagrilintide was the hard part in c/cagrilintide · 392 points · 6 months ago
The engineering problem was duration: native amylin is short-acting and aggregation-prone. A long-acting analogue suitable for weekly administration is what makes the combination clinically interesting.
comment on dose stretching: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/maintenancephase · 54 points · 8 months ago
Careful — a dose reduction plan is a conversation with someone who knows your history, not a board consensus.
comment on the CGM question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/t2dglp1 · 12 points · 9 months ago
How long between the two A1c measurements?
comment on the regain thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/maintenancephase · 183 points · 10 months ago
None of this is a taper plan. What dose holds for you is a question for somebody with your history in front of them.
comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about long term until somebody posts a number in c/maintenancephase · 1 points · 11 months ago
the lowest effective dose is a real target and nobody talks about it
This reframing is the most useful thing on the board for anyone approaching this phase.
comment on [Results] 64 weeks, 11kg, and lowest effective dose was the hard part in c/maintenancephase · 587 points · 1 year ago
the lowest effective dose is a real target and nobody talks about it
comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about goal weight is guesswork in c/maintenancephase · 4 points · 1 year ago
Correcting myself: 20 months at maintenance, not the figure I posted. I keep rounding it up.

comment on someone explain satiety to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/cagrilintide · 1 points · 1 year ago
How many separate lots has anyone here tested?
comment on the lowest effective dose thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/maintenancephase · 39 points · 1 year ago
Maintenance is the phase with the least published guidance and the most individual variation, which is precisely why board consensus here is worth less than usual.
comment on tried metformin for 12 weeks. here is what happened. in c/t2dglp1 · 344 points · 1 year ago
A1c reflects average glycaemia over roughly the preceding three months, weighted towards the most recent weeks. It cannot show variability and it lags any change you make.
comment on switched from 7.5mg to 10mg and injection-site soreness got better, not worse in c/maintenancephase · 25 points · 2 years ago
Not convinced. Interval stretching changes your exposure profile, not just the total, and the two are not equivalent.
comment on [Results] 19 weeks on 0.25mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/maintenancephase · 109 points · 2 years ago
I would not treat a two-kilo range as drift requiring action. That is ordinary weight variation.
comment on week 17 check-in — 4kg down, fatigue manageable, one thing confusing me in c/cagrilintide · 547 points · 2 years ago
Correction: that is the combination programme, not the monotherapy readout.
Adding the standing caveat — nothing here is approved standalone and research material is not for human use.
comment on small win: cagrilintide stopped being a problem at week 60 in c/cagrilintide · 53 points · 2 years ago
Correction: that is the combination programme, not the monotherapy readout. Different arms, different numbers.
comment on how much of what we believe about dose stretching actually comes from regain threads in c/maintenancephase · 121 points · 2 years ago
Agreed that a few kilos of drift is ordinary. Weight is not a fixed number even for people who have never taken anything.
