comment on [Country] DE — Apotheke pricing, Rezept process, what off-label actually costs in c/glp1eu · 8 points · 2 days ago

Pack sizes and presentations differ between member states, so a headline price is not comparable until it is normalised to a common quantity.

A stability statement is only meaningful with its conditions attached: temperature, duration, light exposure, and whether it covers powder or solution. Ask which.

comment on [Unverified] anyone else get a DM offering "wholesale pricing" in c/scamalerts · 8 points · 26 days ago

That is a report count, not a test count, and it changes how thin the evidence base actually is.

comment on light exposure matters more for some compounds than others and nobody tabulates it in c/coldchain · 4 points · 29 days ago

Cosigning the regional stock point. Ordering from a warehouse in the UK took the whole question off my table.

comment on how much of what we believe about reimbursement actually comes from EMA threads in c/glp1eu · 3 points · 1 months ago

Published reimbursement criteria exist in most member states and are usually available in the national language. They are the authoritative answer to eligibility questions that this board can only guess at.

comment on reimbursement — 17 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/glp1eu · 7 points · 1 months ago

Assumed a prescription would be honoured across the border. It was not, and the rules are clear once you actually read them.

comment on stalled for 9 weeks at 1.0mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/bpc157 · 7 points · 1 months ago

Research-use-only material is not approved for human use. In this board that is not a formality — it is the reason the clinical evidence base is as thin as it is.

Wrote the reconstitution date on the vial for the first time last year. Have never once since wondered how old a solution is.

comment on is it normal to get food noise at week 93 in c/bpc157 · 81 points · 3 months ago

Purity by area percent tells you the sample is homogeneous. Mass spectrometry tells you what the homogeneous thing is. For a short peptide, the second question is the one worth paying for.

comment on [Lab] QST tirz — Janoshik came back 99.5% against a claimed 99.0% in c/scamalerts · 20 points · 3 months ago

Same. A batch-specific document requested before payment costs nothing and filters an enormous amount.

I would separate the two claims. The site being newly registered is checkable. The motive you are inferring is not.

Push back: you cannot infer degradation from a temperature excursion alone. That is what testing is for.

It is a fifteen-residue peptide with a published sequence, which makes synthesis straightforward and makes identity verification the meaningful test rather than an optional extra.

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring EU at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/glp1eu · 3 points · 8 months ago

Yes — keep both the prescription and the receipt. Claims processes ask for both and never at a convenient moment.

Ask for the batch-specific certificate before payment. Any operation with a quality system behind it can produce one; the request costs you nothing and it filters hard.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] Apotheke is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/glp1eu · 1 points · 1 year ago

Pharmacy margins and dispensing fees are regulated nationally, which explains price differences that otherwise look arbitrary.

permalink

comment on small win: pentadecapeptide stopped being a problem at week 74 in c/bpc157 · 43 points · 1 year ago

Not convinced. A high purity figure with no identity confirmation tells you the sample is homogeneous, not that it is what you ordered.

permalink

comment on small win: pentadecapeptide stopped being a problem at week 74 in c/bpc157 · 15 points · 1 year ago

The evidence base, described honestly, which almost no summary of it does.

Disagreeing with this line: that paper is in a rodent model and it is being quoted as a human result.

permalink

comment on [Vendor] WXT order #15 — Germany, 12 days, no drama, receipts inside in c/coldchain · 0 points · 1 year ago

Not convinced. A warm pack on day six is expected behaviour from a pack designed for four.

permalink

comment on sequence: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/bpc157 · -38 points · 1 year ago

Every claim I could trace in this board went back to about four papers. That was a sobering afternoon.

permalink

comment on tried sequence for 4 weeks. here is what happened. in c/bpc157 · 30 points · 1 year ago

Small fix — fifteen residues, not seventeen. The sequence is public and easy to check.

This is the point that should be at the top of every thread here. Identity first.

Cosigning the regional stock point.

osman_eriksen is right that the pack failing is not the material failing. Two separate claims.

How many days in transit, and which month?

permalink

comment on three years of packaging threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/coldchain · 819 points · 2 years ago

Gel packs are designed for a duty cycle. A liquid pack at the end of a longer-than-expected transit is a pack behaving as specified, not evidence of an excursion in the vial.

Reported something here with dates and screenshots and was asked for the document trail. Fair challenge, and it made the report worth reading.
