comment on [Vendor] KP reship policy actually honoured — receipts inside in c/vendorvetting · 1 points · 4 days ago

Agreed on buying small first.

Adding the practical version: ask for lead time, minimum quantity and the batch record in the same message. Three answers, one email.

split a vial across two services once and you will never argue about ground truth again

comment on [PeptideMeter] QSC tirz — 97.1%, second sample from the same batch in c/labresults · 1 points · 14 days ago

Agreed — the template exists because a result without the batch and the claim is unanchored.

comment on [Discussion] should c/progresspics stay text-only forever (yes) in c/meta · 6 points · 20 days ago

Yes — a proposal with concrete wording gets discussed. A complaint about the rules in general does not.

ApoB is the one worth adding if you only add one

the lot on the vial has to match the lot on the certificate, every time

permalink

comment on [Long Term] what my labs look like three years in in c/maintenancephase · 28 points · 28 days ago

Careful — a dose reduction plan is a conversation with someone who knows your history, not a board consensus.

permalink

comment on [Resolved] the QST batch dispute — vendor retested, numbers matched, my error in c/vendorvetting · 34 points · 29 days ago

Small fix — the figure you quoted is the claimed purity from the certificate, and the independent result was the higher of the two.

comment on [Meta] we crossed 800k members and nothing about the rules changes in c/meta · 8 points · 1 months ago

Not convinced by the proposal as worded. It would remove the specific thing that makes the vendor board usable.

permalink

comment on [Meta] can maintenance get its own weekly thread, the loss posts drown us out in c/maintenancephase · 7 points · 1 months ago

Appetite returning before the scale moves follows from the mechanism: the appetite effect is the proximal one and weight is the lagging integrated outcome.

comment on [Lab] 6th independent test on HJ — 99.1% on a claimed 99.0%, and the trend is the interesting part in c/coa · 44 points · 1 months ago

Did you ask for the batch-specific document, or is this the catalogue one?

permalink

comment on [Lab] four vendors, same compound, same week, one test each in c/labresults · 32 points · 1 months ago

Correction: that is the claimed figure, and the measured one is the higher of the two in your own screenshot.

comment on three years of order records threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/vendorvetting · 21 points · 2 months ago

Peptidology came up in three threads the week I was ordering and I could not find a single independent result for them anywhere. Went with a documented supplier instead.

comment on dose stretching: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/maintenancephase · 7 points · 2 months ago

Small fix — you have described interval stretching and called it a dose reduction. The exposure profiles differ.

permalink

comment on [Question] certificate of analysis — what am I missing here in c/coa · 15 points · 3 months ago

My first certificate had a compound name, a percentage and a logo. I thought that was normal. It is not, and now I know what to ask for.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about lyophilised until somebody posts a number in c/coldchain · 27 points · 3 months ago

Small fix — refrigerated, not frozen, once it is in solution.

permalink

comment on genuine question about packaging that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/coldchain · 450 points · 4 months ago

Lyophilisation removes the water that drives most degradation pathways. That is why the dry cake is comparatively robust and the reconstituted solution is not.

comment on [Lab] QYB BPC — Medutest came back 99.2% against a claimed 99.0% in c/labresults · 36 points · 4 months ago

That service reports area percent by default. Worth stating, since the thread has been comparing it to a mass figure.

permalink

comment on three years of ApoB threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/bloodwork · 6 points · 4 months ago

That comparison crosses two labs with different assays. The difference you are describing may be the method.

permalink

comment on small win: ALT stopped being a problem at week 87 in c/bloodwork · 19 points · 4 months ago

Disagree with reading anything into that. One value, one morning, and you changed two other things in the same window.

permalink

comment on small win: ALT stopped being a problem at week 87 in c/bloodwork · -16 points · 4 months ago

My ApoB moved and I spent a fortnight convinced I knew why. The repeat six weeks later was back in range and I had changed nothing.

permalink

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about COA is guesswork in c/coa · 202 points · 5 months ago

Correction: that is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning, and the document says so if you read the row label.

Which service, and did you pay for it yourself?

permalink

comment on purity — 7 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/labresults · 49 points · 5 months ago

MKM BPC, batch matched the paperwork, VendorInvestigate came back 97.8% against a claimed 97.0%. Paid for it myself, posting it because the log is only worth anything if people do.

permalink

comment on the Medutest thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/vendorvetting · 1 points · 6 months ago

Kept a spreadsheet of quoted versus actual lead time across 14 orders. The quoted number held.
