comment on [Trial Data] TRIUMPH timeline — what we actually know vs what gets repeated in c/retatrutide · 15 points · 5 days ago

dose escalation in the trials was slow for a reason

Area percent and net peptide content are different measurements and most reports give one. Quote which, or the comparison downstream is meaningless.

comment on [Question] why is reta purity testing so much more variable between labs in c/retatrutide · 0 points · 11 days ago

Sent a vial to VendorInvestigate out of curiosity.

Adding the standing caveat: none of this is approved anywhere and research material is not for human use.

comment on [Question] creatine while eating 1,400 calories — worth it in c/glp1muscle · 1 points · 18 days ago

That protein figure is grams per day, not grams per kilogram. Different claim entirely.

Correcting myself upthread: 19 months between scans, not the figure I gave.

comment on week 40 check-in — 14kg down, sulphur burps manageable, one thing confusing me in c/retatrutide · 1 points · 1 months ago

Agreed on the heart-rate reports. They are consistent enough across the threads to be worth noting, not enough to be a finding.

comment on [Needs Source] "lab tested" with no lab named is not a claim in c/vendorvetting · 43 points · 1 months ago

Kept a spreadsheet of quoted versus actual lead time across 12 orders. The quoted number held.

permalink

comment on [Lab] four vendors, same compound, same week, one test each in c/labresults · 32 points · 1 months ago

Chain of custody is why member-funded testing is worth more than a supplied certificate: the vial tested is the vial that arrived at a member’s door.

comment on [Meta] the vendor rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/vendorvetting · 8 points · 2 months ago

Right — HJ publishes the method line on the certificate, and once you have seen one that does you notice every one that does not.

comment on how much of what we believe about Janoshik actually comes from PeptideMeter threads in c/vendorvetting · 66 points · 2 months ago

Lead time and minimum quantity are the two facts people forget to ask for and then argue about later. Both are answerable in one email before you commit.

comment on the reship question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/vendorvetting · 49 points · 3 months ago

Six orders across two years from QST. Same packaging, same paperwork, same lead time. The most boring supplier relationship I have and I mean that as praise.

permalink

comment on [Lab] MKM tirz — Medutest came back 97.8% against a claimed 97.0% in c/vendorvetting · 3 points · 3 months ago

Which service did the testing, and did you pay for it yourself?

permalink

comment on help me understand VendorInvestigate, I have read the wiki twice in c/vendorvetting · 81 points · 4 months ago

Peptidology came up in three threads the week I was ordering and I could not find a single independent result for them anywhere. Went with a documented supplier instead.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify resistance training in c/glp1muscle · 13 points · 4 months ago

lean mass loss during weight loss is expected, the question is how much

permalink

comment on help me understand retatrutide, I have read the wiki twice in c/retatrutide · 15 points · 4 months ago

Right, and it bears repeating that nothing here is approved anywhere and research material is not for human use.

How many separate lots is that across? One lot tested twice is one data point.

comment on [Lab] split one vial across Janoshik and Medutest — 98.1% and 98.9% in c/vendorvetting · 3 points · 4 months ago

Small fix — the figure you quoted is the claimed purity from the certificate, and the independent result was the higher of the two.

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for VendorInvestigate posts in c/vendorvetting · 0 points · 5 months ago

What did they say when you asked for the method line?

This is the whole method in one sentence. Everything else in the thread is elaboration.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about order records in c/vendorvetting · 7 points · 5 months ago

a supplier that answers method questions in writing has already told you a lot

permalink

comment on help me understand lean mass, I have read the wiki twice in c/glp1muscle · 22 points · 6 months ago

Disagree — slower loss does not automatically preserve lean mass. Protein and training do the work, not the rate on its own.

permalink

comment on help me understand glucagon, I have read the wiki twice in c/retatrutide · 24 points · 7 months ago

the phase 2 numbers were striking and they were also 48 weeks in a small population

permalink

comment on genuine question about vendor that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/vendorvetting · 33 points · 7 months ago

Asked SWB for the batch record on a Tuesday and had the full document, batch and method line, before the end of the day. That is the bar now.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about glucagon in c/retatrutide · 961 points · 11 months ago

Stopped at a low step because there was no reason to go further and no data to tell me what further would do.

permalink

comment on [PSA] lean mass is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/glp1muscle · 31 points · 11 months ago

DEXA has a meaningful coefficient of variation, and it differs between machines and protocols.

Agreed — and same machine, same conditions, or the two scans are not comparable.

permalink

comment on [Results] 8 weeks on 7.5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/retatrutide · 51 points · 11 months ago

Yes — the comparison threads are apples to oranges and they generate more heat than anything else here.

permalink

comment on VendorInvestigate is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/vendorvetting · 53 points · 11 months ago

Disagree that reviews are worthless. They are worthless when they say "fast shipping A+++". A dated one naming a compound and a document is evidence.

comment on resistance training — 15 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/glp1muscle · 101 points · 1 year ago

DEXA has a meaningful coefficient of variation, and it differs between machines and protocols. Comparing scans from different clinics adds a systematic offset that is invisible on the report.

permalink

comment on [Question] DEXA — what am I missing here in c/glp1muscle · 9 points · 1 year ago

Not convinced by that DEXA comparison. Different machine, different protocol, and the difference is inside the error.

permalink

comment on tried protein for 24 weeks. here is what happened. in c/glp1muscle · -11 points · 1 year ago

Two scans on the same machine 10 months apart. Lean mass held better than I expected and the lifts told the same story for free.

permalink

comment on stalled for 11 weeks at 12.5mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/retatrutide · 49 points · 1 year ago

Cosigning the escalation point. Almost every difficult report on this board is from somebody who went up quickly.

Which phase 2 arm are you quoting, and at what week?

permalink

Batch number and date of analysis?

permalink

comment on [Meta] the Janoshik rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/labresults · 101 points · 1 year ago

Same. The GGPeps results have been sitting in a tight band across lots, which is the useful shape.

permalink

comment on TRIUMPH: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/retatrutide · 6 points · 1 year ago

Yes — the glucagon arm is what makes it a different proposition rather than a stronger version of the others.

permalink

comment on [Results] 57 weeks, 25kg, and glucagon was the hard part in c/retatrutide · 569 points · 1 year ago

Watched heart rate on a wearable across twelve weeks because the threads said to. It moved a little and I have no idea whether that means anything.
