comment on three years of interval stretching threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/tapering · 8 points · 1 year ago

Stopped for cost reasons. Appetite came back at about week 23, well before the scale moved, exactly as this board said it would.

Asked what a COA was in my first week. Somebody linked the explainer and I have been reading them ever since.

Pushback: you changed the dose, the meal timing and the training in the same fortnight, so the attribution is guesswork.

Severe, or unpleasant?

This is the shape almost everybody here describes, and it is the single most reassuring thing in the thread.

Right, and the payoff arrives around month six when a pattern becomes visible that nobody could hold in their head.

Read both programme names carefully after mixing them up in a comment and being politely corrected.

This. A bad fortnight after a step is expected. A bad quarter is a reason to talk to somebody who knows your history.

Nothing in this thread is medical advice, including this comment. I am describing a mechanism, not telling anybody what to do about their own week.

Agreed — and the exposure lag means the first fortnight tells you almost nothing.

Adding the one process step — write down where you are before you change anything.

fatigue plus low intake is usually just low intake

comment on what changed for me between month 7 and month 12 in c/newbiequestions · 83 points · 1 year ago

Titration is a tolerance ladder. Each step exists so the gastrointestinal effects settle before the next increase, which is why the intervals are what they are.

comment on help me understand heart rate, I have read the wiki twice in c/sideeffects · 262 points · 1 year ago

Disagree. Severe abdominal pain is not on the list of things to wait out, and this board should not be treating it as one.

comment on my TSH moved and I cannot work out whether ACHIEVE is why in c/orforglipron · 87 points · 1 year ago

Right, and comparing milligrams between a small molecule and a peptide is meaningless in either direction.

Spent my first fortnight comparing myself to the loudest posters. Do not do that; they are not the middle of the distribution.

What is intake actually looking like — fibre and water especially?

permalink

comment on genuine question about nausea that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/sideeffects · 175 points · 1 year ago

Small fix — the shedding follows the rate of weight loss, not the compound, and it is temporary.

Hair shedding after significant weight loss is a telogen effect that follows the rate of loss. It is not specific to these compounds and it resolves.

Not quite. Bacteriostatic and sterile water are different products and only one is intended for repeated entry.

That is area percent from a certificate, not the amount of peptide in the vial. Two different numbers and a very common mix-up.

muscle cramps for the first eight days after each step, then nothing, every single time. Predictable enough that I started planning my week around it.

comment on tried reflux for 11 weeks. here is what happened. in c/sideeffects · 12 points · 2 years ago

The fatigue turned out to be that I was eating about a third of what I thought I was. Tracked it for a week and the mystery evaporated.

A symptom that begins the day after the shot and fades by day four tracks the exposure curve.

Disagreeing with this one line: that symptom is not on the wait-and-see list and should not be posted as though it is.
