comment on small win: protein stopped being a problem at week 41 in c/glp1muscle · 1 points · 5 months ago

Small fix — that is fat-free mass, not muscle mass. The scan cannot separate them the way the post assumes.

log the cycle alongside the dose if you want the pattern to be visible

Yes. The research gap is genuine; most of the trials were not designed to answer these questions.

the research gap is real and it is not your imagination

Missing entries recorded as blanks preserve the shape of the series. Dropping them silently makes the remaining points look more regular than they were.

Small fix — 503B facilities register with the regulator; 503A pharmacies are licensed by the state board. Different mechanisms.

Cosigning the beyond-use date question. What it is based on tells you whether anybody has done stability work.

36kg over 15 months and honestly the most useful marker was that stairs stopped being a decision.

Correction: that is the claimed figure, and the measured one is the higher of the two in your own screenshot.

My hs-CRP moved and it turned out to have nothing to do with glucose at all.

Not convinced by that DEXA comparison. Different machine, different protocol, and the difference is inside the error.

Contemporaneous records do not drift; reconstructed ones do, and the drift is systematic rather than random because memory smooths.

This. Hypoglycaemia risk in this class is driven mostly by the other agents in the regimen.

That is a sensor value, not a plasma value, and the two are not interchangeable at that level of precision.

the boards keep comparing it to injectables at matched doses, which is meaningless

Same. Perimenopause overlapping with all of this is the least documented area on the whole site.

Disagree. That is one member state’s reimbursement rule and it does not generalise across the union.

Where in the cycle does this fall, if you are tracking it?

rasmus_petrescu is right that a diagnosis and a finding are different things here.

Disagreeing with this bit: daily dosing is a different adherence problem, not a better one.

Agreed, and it is why the oral peptide comparison keeps misleading people.

The shortage list is the legal hinge: the permissions that allow certain compounding to happen at scale are tied to a drug’s shortage status, which changes.

comment on [Lab] WXT BPC — PeptideMeter came back 97.2% against a claimed 97.0% in c/labresults · 70 points · 1 year ago

A series across separate lots estimates a process. Repeat tests on one lot estimate the measurement. Both are useful and they answer different questions.

Cosigning that protein gets harder precisely when appetite drops. That is the actual difficulty and it is logistical.

Two scans on the same machine 24 months apart. Lean mass held better than I expected and the lifts told the same story for free.

permalink

comment on the STEP question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/trialwatch · 42 points · 1 year ago

Discontinuation rates are a tolerability result. A trial with a strong efficacy number and heavy discontinuation is telling you two things and people only quote one.

Argued for a week about a result and then read the limitations section, which conceded most of my opponent’s point.
