comment on [Explainer] area% is not mass% and here is exactly why it matters in c/coa · 11 points · 5 days ago

ask for the storage condition the stability statement was written against

comment on [Vendor] WXT order #4 — 8 days Wuxi to UK, cold pack still solid in c/vendorvetting · 5 points · 6 days ago

That reads as a recommendation and the source pages deliberately are not. They are a record you use to make your own decision.

comment on [Discussion] "tirz is stronger than sema" needs a comparator dose or it means nothing in c/tirzepatide · 40 points · 8 days ago

Research-use-only material is not approved for human use.

This. The step interval is a floor, and reading it as a timetable is the most expensive mistake in the thread.

comment on [PSA] a vendor-supplied COA is a marketing document until someone else agrees with it in c/vendorvetting · 8 points · 10 days ago

Regional stock made more difference to my planning than anything else — ordering from a warehouse in Canada took the customs question off the table entirely.

comment on the nausea profile at 7.5 was worse than 10 for me and i cannot explain it in c/tirzepatide · 39 points · 12 days ago

Yes. I stepped to 12.5 because the calendar said so, not because anything needed fixing, and I regretted it for a fortnight.

sulphur burps are the signature complaint and they are not dangerous

comment on [Lab] identity confirmed but net peptide content was 71% in c/bpc157 · 8 points · 16 days ago

Research-use-only material is not approved for human use. In this board that is not a formality — it is the reason the clinical evidence base is as thin as it is.

permalink

comment on [Question] does the vial concentration change how much dead space costs me in c/tirzepatide · 7 points · 27 days ago

That percentage is body weight change, not body fat. Different measurement, and the distinction gets lost every time.

permalink

comment on [Results] 65 weeks on 15mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/tirzepatide · -26 points · 1 months ago

2.5 is the starter dose and it is not meant to be the dose that works

permalink

comment on identity and quantity are two questions and most COAs answer one in c/coa · 46 points · 1 months ago

area% is not mass%, and the difference is the whole game

permalink

comment on dual agonist — my 18-week log, condensed into one table in c/tirzepatide · -9 points · 1 months ago

switching from sema is not a dose conversion, there is no clean equivalence

batch number, date of analysis, method, individual impurities — that is the minimum set

permalink

comment on [PeptideMeter] ERP tirz 15mg — 98.4% and a very clean trace in c/labresults · 4 points · 1 months ago

A series across separate lots estimates a process. Repeat tests on one lot estimate the measurement. Both are useful and they answer different questions.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about SURPASS in c/tirzepatide · -16 points · 1 months ago

Yes. I stepped to 12.5 because the calendar said so, not because anything needed fixing, and I regretted it for a fortnight.

permalink

comment on [Lab] split one vial across Medutest and Janoshik — 99.3% and 98.7% in c/tirzepatide · 15 points · 2 months ago

Appetite effect for me is flat across seven days. On sema it was a wave. Same person, different molecule.

permalink

comment on help me understand water content, I have read the wiki twice in c/coa · 59 points · 2 months ago

Agreed — the itemised related substances table is the difference between a document and a receipt.

permalink

the trend across lots is worth more than any single figure

permalink

comment on small win: Mounjaro stopped being a problem at week 45 in c/tirzepatide · 6 points · 2 months ago

It is a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist, and the GIP arm is the part that has no equivalent in the semaglutide threads. That is why the side-effect profile reads differently rather than just milder.

comment on do related substances actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/coa · 196 points · 3 months ago

Asked for the storage condition behind the stability statement. Got it in a sentence. It is a two-line email and almost nobody sends it.

permalink

comment on [PSA] purity is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/coa · 368 points · 4 months ago

UV at 214nm sees the peptide bond and picks up almost everything; at 280nm you are looking at aromatics only. Which wavelength the number came from is part of the number.

permalink

comment on does VendorInvestigate actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/vendorvetting · 1 points · 4 months ago

Kept a spreadsheet of quoted versus actual lead time across 3 orders. The quoted number held.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] vendor is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/vendorvetting · 11 points · 5 months ago

Mild pushback: a supplier with fewer entries is not worse, it is less sampled. Those are different claims and the table says so.

comment on [Lab] 12th independent test on SGN — 98.1% on a claimed 98.0%, and the trend is the interesting part in c/bpc157 · 11 points · 5 months ago

a fifteen-residue peptide is easy to make and easy to make badly

permalink

comment on purity — 7 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/labresults · 13 points · 5 months ago

Chain of custody is why member-funded testing is worth more than a supplied certificate: the vial tested is the vial that arrived at a member’s door.

Agreed — and two services on one batch is the strongest thing any of us can produce individually.

Agreed on quoting the claim alongside the result. Half the arguments here are two people comparing to different reference numbers.

permalink

the related substances line is where the story is

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for 15mg posts in c/tirzepatide · 105 points · 6 months ago

I would separate the two claims. That the GIP arm exists is uncontroversial; that it explains your nausea pattern is a guess.

permalink

comment on is it normal to get food noise at week 85 in c/tirzepatide · 1 points · 6 months ago

Cosigning the four-week thing. It is a minimum interval, and treating it as a schedule to keep up with is how people end up miserable at 12.5.

a result with no batch number is about a vial nobody can identify

This is why the template has a batch field. Without it the result is about a vial nobody can identify.

Asked GL Biochem for the batch-specific certificate and had the full document — batch, date, method line naming the column — inside six hours. That is now my baseline for everybody.

permalink

Related substances itemised individually is a much stronger document than a single total, because it tells you the shape of the impurity profile rather than its size.

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for rules posts in c/meta · 1 points · 7 months ago

rule-change proposals need a concrete wording, not a complaint

permalink

comment on Medutest — 16 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/labresults · 153 points · 7 months ago

Date of analysis anchors the result to a manufacturing period. A two-year-old result is evidence about two years ago and should be read that way.

permalink

comment on genuine question about COA that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/coa · 124 points · 8 months ago

Not quite. Two labs with different gradients can resolve a close-eluting impurity differently and both be reporting honestly.

permalink

comment on genuine question about PeptideMeter that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/vendorvetting · 10 points · 8 months ago

Xi'an Health Biochem came up in three threads the week I was ordering and I could not find a single independent result for them anywhere. Went with a documented supplier instead.

if you are going to test, test the thing you actually received

permalink

Agreed on buying small first. The cost of a test is small next to the cost of committing to a supplier you have not checked.
