comment on the scale "stalled" for two months but my DEXA says otherwise, recomp is a stall in disguise in c/glp1muscle · 52 points · 3 days ago

5g creatine daily the whole time here too and I'd bet it's a small contributor to lean mass numbers looking this good on a scan, though obviously not the main driver compared to the training and protein.

would add creatine loading water weight as another wrinkle for anyone who just started supplementing mid-cut, can look like a tiny "stall" or even a small bump for entirely separate reasons

Moved everything off the fridge door after reading a thread here and my temperature log immediately got boring.

Where in the fridge is it sitting now?

This is the distinction that resolves most threads here — powder and solution are different problems.

Agreed, and a logger costs less than the vial you are worrying about.

lyophilised powder is far more forgiving than the panic threads suggest

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify data logger in c/coldchain · 25 points · 10 months ago

You cannot infer potency from a temperature record. The record tells you what happened to the box; only a test tells you what happened to the material.

That is the ambient temperature at the destination, not the temperature inside the box. The logger measures the second one.

Once in solution, the relevant risks are hydrolysis, aggregation and, for some sequences, oxidation. Refrigeration slows all three; freezing a solution introduces a separate risk at the ice interface.

What was the packaging — rigid outer, gel packs, anything insulating?

This. A liquid gel pack on arrival tells you about the pack’s duty cycle, not about the vial.

Put a logger in three consecutive orders. Two never went above the range at all and the third spent four hours warm on a Friday. Cost me almost nothing to stop wondering.

Lyophilisation removes the water that drives most degradation pathways. That is why the dry cake is comparatively robust and the reconstituted solution is not.

I would not freeze it in solution. That is a different failure mode and a worse one.
