Which nation, and which ICB if you are in England?

Read the MHRA notice rather than the news coverage and the actual scope was much narrower than the panic threads suggested.

Have you seen the current threshold published by your ICB?

Disagree with the panic framing. Lyophilised material tolerates ordinary transit conditions far better than these threads imply.

Disagree. That is the pathway in one ICB and it does not generalise even to the next one over.

Is this a line they hold in regional stock or is it shipping from origin?

permalink

comment on BPC-157: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/bpc157 · 2 points · 19 days ago

It is a fifteen-residue peptide with a published sequence, which makes synthesis straightforward and makes identity verification the meaningful test rather than an optional extra.

comment on [Explainer] excursion tables, and why "it got warm" is not a data point in c/coldchain · 6 points · 22 days ago

Regional stock changes the question rather than answering it: shorter lanes mean less exposure and fewer variables, which is why the warehouse question is worth asking before ordering in summer.

Push back: you cannot infer degradation from a temperature excursion alone. That is what testing is for.

Sent an unusual compound to VendorInvestigate because nobody on this site had ever posted one. 98.4% against a claimed 98.0%.

Asked WXT which lines they keep in regional stock versus make to order and got a clear split. It changed what I ordered.

Do you have the mass spectrum?

permalink

Concentrations can differ between products and between pharmacies. Switching mid-titration means redoing the arithmetic rather than carrying the old unit count across.

This. The monthly pricing tracker is the most useful thing on this board and it works because nobody is allowed to link anything.

if nobody has tested it here, that is a fact about us, not the compound

The scheme cap in Ireland was the single most useful thing I learned in a year of reading this board.

Yes — reconstitution date on the vial. It is the number you will want and cannot reconstruct.

comment on the regulatory thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/bpc157 · 26 points · 5 months ago

Ask for the theoretical mass alongside the measured one. It is a one-line addition to a certificate and it converts a purity claim into an identity claim.

permalink

identity testing matters more here than purity does

Agreed, and a logger costs less than the vial you are worrying about.

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify identity in c/researchpeptides · 97 points · 7 months ago

Naming in this space is inconsistent. Several widely used names map to more than one molecule, so a catalogue number and a sequence beat a common name every time.

Supply notices from the regulator describe expected availability at a national level. They do not predict what any individual pharmacy has on the shelf next week.

Every claim I could trace in this board went back to about four papers. That was a sobering afternoon.
