comment on why does nobody talk about regret in c/darkspot · 17 points · 10 months ago

Yes. Buy small first. It is the cheapest lesson on the site and it keeps being learned the expensive way.

Left up. It carries dates, a criterion and an outcome, which is what makes these threads useful.

Cosigning that cost and supply are legitimate reasons. Most of the stopping threads here are one of those two.

Seasonality, which the source-page lane tables show clearly once you look for it.

The same origin, destination and carrier can differ by several days between February and August, and the temperature exposure differs by much more than the transit time suggests. A lane that is uneventful in winter is the same lane that generates the summer threads.

Two practical consequences. First, compare like months when you compare lanes. Second, ask which lines a supplier holds in regional stock — a shorter leg in July is worth more than any amount of packaging.

Careful, that is a regimen change suggestion and it needs to come from whoever manages your diabetes.

Agreed. Appetite is the leading indicator and the scale is the lagging one. Watch the first, not the second.

Correction: that study measured regain after discontinuation, not loss of effect during treatment. Very different findings.

Wrote down where I was before changing anything.

ignacio_silva is right that regain is a documented outcome rather than a character verdict.

Cosigning that going too fast is the most repeated regret on the whole site.

Adding the thing that would have caught it earliest — buy small and test before committing.

comment on genuine question about customs that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/customs · 32 points · 1 year ago

Why regional stock keeps coming up in every thread on this board.

If the line you want is held in a warehouse in your own country, your order is a domestic shipment. There is no import event, no clearance stage and no notice to manage. That is not a workaround; it is a different transaction.

So the useful pre-order question is which lines a supplier actually holds regionally rather than drop-ships from origin. It is one email, the answer is usually a list, and for anybody who has spent a fortnight watching a tracking page it reframes the whole problem.

Employer-sponsored plans may be regulated differently from individually purchased ones, which changes both the appeal route and which regulator hears a complaint.

Right, and stopping for money reasons is not a failure of anything.

nora_oyelaran is right that it was procedural. The procedure was not written down anywhere for you to follow.

Gel packs are designed for a duty cycle. A liquid pack at the end of a longer-than-expected transit is a pack behaving as specified, not evidence of an excursion in the vial.

Step therapy requires documented trial of preferred alternatives. It is not an argument to be won on merits; it is a record to be produced, and the record is what the appeal must contain.

A denial letter is required to state a reason and to reference the criterion applied.

ilias_cabrera is right that this is documentation rather than persuasion. It took me a year to accept that.
