nobody warned me about constipation and I would have liked the warning

Resolved Receipts ×9 Well Actually ×1 Long Haul ×1

nobody warned me about constipation and I would have liked the warning, and I am aware this is a minority view on this board.

Hair shedding after significant weight loss is a telogen effect that follows the rate of loss. It is not specific to these compounds and it resolves.

A symptom that begins the day after the shot and fades by day four tracks the exposure curve. One that appears at random in week 82 probably does not, and that is worth saying to a clinician rather than to us.

On buying things to fix side effects, which I did extensively and would not do again.

The interventions that changed anything for me were all behavioural and free: smaller meals, eating slower, stopping food a few hours before sleep, more fibre and considerably more water. The things I bought did nothing I could detect, and I was motivated to detect something.

The other lever, which people forget, is time at dose. Holding rather than stepping is a legitimate plan and it fixed my tolerance where nothing else did.

Happy to answer the boring questions. Those are usually the ones worth asking.

The pattern almost everyone here describes, written out once so it can be linked.

A step up is followed by a rough window — commonly muscle cramps arriving the day after the shot and easing by day four, worst in the first fortnight, then flattening out. At a stable dose it usually settles further. Constipation and fatigue tend to track intake and fluid rather than the compound directly, which is why the unglamorous answers work.

What sits outside that pattern: severe pain, symptoms that appear from nowhere weeks into a stable dose, or anything getting worse rather than better over a month. None of that is a board question and none of us can answer it for you.

if it is severe or persistent that is a clinician question, not a board question

Which day of the week relative to the shot does it hit?

smaller meals, earlier, is the boring advice that works

Most of the common complaints trace back to slowed gastric emptying — early fullness, reflux, nausea after a large or fatty meal. That is also why meal size and speed change the experience more than anything else.

a rough fortnight at each step is normal, a rough three months is not

Flair set to Question. Also the standing reminder that nothing on this board is medical advice.

muscle cramps on day two and gone by day four is the standard shape

That reads like advice, and none of us can give it. Describe what you did, not what somebody else should do.

About c/sideeffects

Side-effect experience and management, with a strong bias toward the ones that are common and boring (nausea, constipation, reflux, fatigue, sulphur burps) and a hard line on the ones that are not (severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, jaundice, vision changes). This community is not a substitute for urgent care and the mods will say so bluntly.

  1. Severe or escalating abdominal pain is an urgent-care question, not a forum question. We will lock those threads with a pointer to help.
  2. Describe your dose, your week number and your titration speed — otherwise nobody can help.
  3. No diagnosing strangers. Share what happened to you.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.

Several compounds discussed on GLP Research Hub are sold for research use only and are not approved for human use anywhere. Nothing here is medical advice and none of it is written by your clinician. If a post reads like an instruction, treat it as a description of what one stranger did.
