comment on [PBS] listing status and what it actually does to out-of-pocket in c/glp1aus · 4 points · 2 days ago

Is this about registration or about subsidy?

comment on [Pricing] four countries, same product, same week, 2.4x spread in c/glp1eu · 1 points · 3 days ago

Right, and a shortage notice in one country tells you very little about the next one along.

permalink

comment on [Private Rx] the online consultation asked me nothing. that is not safe. in c/glp1uk · 7 points · 3 days ago

Read the MHRA notice rather than the news coverage and the actual scope was much narrower than the panic threads suggested.

comment on [Data] the lane table, updated: 41 lanes, median and 90th percentile in c/intlshipping · 17 points · 3 days ago

Do they publish a reship policy, and did you read it before ordering?

permalink

comment on why is nobody talking about the SURPASS-CVOT readout in c/tirzepatide · 10 points · 6 days ago

the food noise profile is genuinely gentler than people expect coming from sema

comment on [Pricing] £129 to £189 for the same thing across four pharmacies this month in c/glp1uk · 5 points · 9 days ago

Small fix — that is the Scottish pathway. The post is asking about England and the answer is different.

permalink

comment on SURMOUNT-1 was -20.9% at 72 weeks. that is the number, not -30% in c/tirzepatide · 1 points · 16 days ago

Right. And the sema-to-tirz "conversion" people post is invented. There is no published equivalence.

permalink

comment on the Zepbound question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/tirzepatide · 537 points · 1 months ago

Vials and pens carry the same molecule; what differs is fill volume, device tolerance and whether you are doing your own arithmetic. Neither is inherently more accurate.

comment on shipping is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/intlshipping · 1 points · 1 months ago

declared value and description are the shipper’s decision, ask what they use

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about prescription is guesswork in c/glp1eu · 1 points · 2 months ago

What pack size is that price for?

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about Apotheke actually comes from pharmacy threads in c/glp1eu · 6 points · 2 months ago

Correcting myself upthread: the criterion I quoted was updated for this year.

Have you read the published reimbursement criteria where you are?

permalink

comment on [Discussion] the UK advice in here is 3 years out of date in c/glp1uk · -42 points · 2 months ago

Read the MHRA notice rather than the news coverage and the actual scope was much narrower than the panic threads suggested.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about transit time until somebody posts a number in c/intlshipping · 13 points · 2 months ago

Agreed. Reporting by lane rather than by supplier is what made the tables here actually predictive.

BMI thresholds vary by ICB and by year

Australia or New Zealand?

permalink

comment on help me understand PBS, I have read the wiki twice in c/glp1aus · 10 points · 3 months ago

Read the published criteria for my indication rather than asking.

This is the distinction that makes the rest of the board legible.

permalink

comment on genuine question about prescription that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/glp1eu · 6 points · 3 months ago

private pricing varies enormously between neighbouring countries

permalink

comment on [Results] 45 weeks, 14kg, and tirzepatide was the hard part in c/tirzepatide · 5 points · 3 months ago

Not sure that follows. You went up a step and changed your training in the same fortnight.

permalink

comment on [Lab] 4th independent test on JEEP — 97.3% on a claimed 97.0%, and the trend is the interesting part in c/tirzepatide · 8 points · 4 months ago

SURMOUNT-1 landed around 21% at 72 weeks on the top arm

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about EMS until somebody posts a number in c/intlshipping · 367 points · 4 months ago

I would not read a single slow shipment as a lane change. Post it and let the median move if it is real.

permalink

comment on [Results] 26 weeks, 9kg, and dual agonist was the hard part in c/tirzepatide · 1 points · 4 months ago

sulphur burps are the signature complaint and they are not dangerous

permalink

comment on tirzepatide — 22 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/tirzepatide · 52 points · 5 months ago

Push back: "gentler than sema" is a population statement. Plenty of people on this board have the opposite experience and they are not doing it wrong.

permalink

comment on tirzepatide — 22 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/tirzepatide · 217 points · 5 months ago

Research-use-only material is not approved for human use. Anything in this thread about how a research vial "should" titrate is a discussion about chemistry, not a plan.

permalink

comment on [Question] dual agonist — what am I missing here in c/tirzepatide · 2 points · 5 months ago

Weekly dosing again, half-life in the same neighbourhood as sema, so a step change takes about a month to reach steady state. Judging a new step at day five is judging noise.

permalink

comment on anyone else notice GIP kicking in around week 80 in c/tirzepatide · 2 points · 6 months ago

Yes. I stepped to 12.5 because the calendar said so, not because anything needed fixing, and I regretted it for a fortnight.

permalink

comment on [Question] Mounjaro — what am I missing here in c/tirzepatide · 123 points · 6 months ago

Agreed, and the trial number is a mean of a very wide distribution — the tails are enormous and nobody posts from the middle.

permalink

comment on [Meta] the Zepbound rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/tirzepatide · 8 points · 7 months ago

the four-week step schedule is the label, not folklore

permalink

comment on [Question] the UK — has anyone got a straight answer on reimbursement in c/glp1eu · 17 points · 7 months ago

Supply notices are issued nationally.

Agreed — and normalising pack size before comparing prices is the fix for half these threads.

Australia and New Zealand are separate systems and get conflated weekly

permalink

comment on switched from 5mg to 15mg and constipation got better, not worse in c/tirzepatide · -25 points · 8 months ago

Not sure that follows. You went up a step and changed your training in the same fortnight.

permalink

comment on switched from 5mg to 15mg and constipation got better, not worse in c/tirzepatide · 172 points · 8 months ago

Disagree with the conversion table. There is no validated equivalence between the two molecules and posting one as though there is does real damage.

permalink

comment on [Question] New Zealand — has anyone got a straight answer on shortage in c/glp1aus · 3 points · 8 months ago

Australia and New Zealand have different regulators, different funding bodies and different arrangements. An answer for one is not evidence about the other.

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about NHS actually comes from MHRA threads in c/glp1uk · 1 points · 8 months ago

Careful, that pricing figure is a headline offer with conditions attached rather than the actual monthly cost.

This is why national advice does not work here. It is commissioned locally and it varies.

permalink

comment on someone explain shipping to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/intlshipping · 33 points · 8 months ago

Push back: comparing a July transit with a February one on the same lane is not a comparison.

permalink

comment on someone explain shipping to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/intlshipping · 16 points · 8 months ago

Same lane, four orders, 14 to 13 days, all four within a couple of days of the quote. That consistency is the actual finding.

permalink

comment on someone explain shipping to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/intlshipping · 38 points · 8 months ago

Careful — the supplier does not control the last mile and most of your variance is in it.

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about MHRA actually comes from pharmacy threads in c/glp1uk · 24 points · 9 months ago

no referral links, ever, and that rule is why the pricing threads work

permalink

comment on the lane question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/intlshipping · 4 points · 9 months ago

Correction: that was clearance time, not carrier time. The lane table separates them for exactly this reason.
