comment on three years of beginner threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/newbiequestions · 15 points · 1 year ago
Gently disagree with the framing — nothing has gone wrong.
Slight disagreement with this bit only, because a beginner reading it might take it as a plan rather than a description.
comment on [Question] Ireland — has anyone got a straight answer on shortage list in c/compounding · 38 points · 1 year ago
I would not read the price difference as a quality signal. Most of it is the consultation model, not the vial.
comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about reconstitution until somebody posts a number in c/reconstitution · 0 points · 1 year ago
Reconstituted at 3mL when I meant to use a different volume. Caught it because the units looked wrong on the barrel. Now I write 6.67mg/mL on the glass before I put the cap back.
comment on [Results] 12 weeks on 0.5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/progresspics · 91 points · 1 year ago
Right — the non-scale victories are the ones I remember. The numbers all blur together after a while.
comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about first time is guesswork in c/newbiequestions · 144 points · 1 year ago
The injection was scarier in my head than in reality. It took about ten seconds and I felt slightly silly afterwards.
comment on three years of API source threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/compounding · 355 points · 1 year ago
Salt form matters for mass: a preparation specified as one salt and dosed as the free base gives you a different amount of peptide for the same number on the label.
comment on why does nobody talk about reconstitution in c/reconstitution · 60 points · 1 year ago
Is that a U-100 syringe? The barrel markings change the answer completely.
comment on 13 months in and CGM is still the thing I get wrong in c/t2dglp1 · 14 points · 1 year ago
Yes — the person managing your diabetes is the one to talk to, and this board is explicit about that.
comment on help me understand progress, I have read the wiki twice in c/progresspics · 39 points · 1 year ago
My goal weight at week one was a number I made up. I have revised it twice since and I am happier for it.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring research peptides at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/researchpeptides · 36 points · 1 year ago
Small fix — that is net peptide content, not purity. Both are on the certificate and they differ substantially here.
comment on [Discussion] the dead space advice in here is 2 years out of date in c/reconstitution · 2 points · 1 year ago
Asked Homopeptide what volume they reconstitute to for their own stability testing and they answered in one line. Useful thing to know.
comment on help me understand first time, I have read the wiki twice in c/newbiequestions · 45 points · 2 years ago
What does the wiki page on this say — genuinely asking, not deflecting?
comment on reading confirmations threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/cryptopay · 18 points · 2 years ago
Did the address you sent to match the one you were given, character for character?
comment on private plan — 18 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/glp1canada · 15 points · 2 years ago
Formulary criteria are revised, and plan renewal is a natural point at which a previously refused request may succeed without anything about the applicant changing.
comment on milestone — 2 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/progresspics · 54 points · 2 years ago
Nobody noticed for months. Then several people noticed in the same fortnight, which was strange and quite nice.
comment on chargeback — 8 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/cryptopay · 10 points · 2 years ago
the supplier cannot reverse it and neither can you
comment on [Question] Denmark — has anyone got a straight answer on province in c/glp1canada · 44 points · 2 years ago
special authorization forms are published, read them before applying
comment on am I the only one who found first time harder than the injections in c/newbiequestions · 49 points · 2 years ago
write the concentration on the vial, you will thank yourself
comment on Germany: escrow, and what it actually costs here in c/cryptopay · 41 points · 2 years ago
Network fees are set by chain congestion at the time of sending. They are paid to the network, not to the recipient, and they vary by hour as well as by chain.
comment on three years of USDC threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/cryptopay · 2 points · 2 years ago
send a test amount first if the total is large
comment on reading concentration threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/reconstitution · 28 points · 2 years ago
units are a volume on a U-100 syringe, not a dose

swirl, never shake
comment on reading concentration threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/reconstitution · -30 points · 2 years ago
The lyophilised cake displaces a small volume, so the true concentration is very slightly lower than the arithmetic suggests.
anjali_tamm has the units point exactly right. They are a volume on the barrel and nothing else.
