comment on genuine question about dose escalation that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/retatrutide · 248 points · 1 year ago

not approved anywhere, which is the single most important fact in this board

This is the sentence the rest of the board should read first. Phase 2 is not a label.

Yes — the comparison threads are apples to oranges and they generate more heat than anything else here.

Rate of change is not a virtue. Slower trajectories are as durable as fast ones and are considerably better represented on this board than the front page suggests.

comment on TRIUMPH: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/retatrutide · 7 points · 1 year ago

Correction: TRIUMPH is the phase 3 programme. The number you are quoting is from the phase 2 readout, which is a different trial.

Did the clothes change before the number did for you too?

comment on how much of what we believe about retatrutide actually comes from glucagon threads in c/retatrutide · 330 points · 1 year ago

This. The phase 2 result was genuinely large and it was also 48 weeks in a few hundred people.

progress is not linear and nobody’s is

comment on anyone else notice triple agonist kicking in around week 65 in c/retatrutide · 207 points · 1 year ago

It is a triple agonist at the GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors. The glucagon arm is the genuinely novel component and it is the one with the least human outcome data behind it.

Same. Comparison ruined about three months for me until I stopped reading the fastest posts.

A goal weight chosen before starting is a prediction made with the least information you will ever have. Revising it is ordinary rather than a failure.

Right, and regulatory status has genuinely moved in several jurisdictions. Answers from three years ago may be wrong now.

What breaks if we make that change?

Cosigning on timeframe. "13kg" means something completely different over 8 months than over one.

say what changed for you, not what should change for others

comment on what would you tell week-1 you about dose escalation in c/retatrutide · 1 points · 2 years ago

Stopped at a low step because there was no reason to go further and no data to tell me what further would do.

Short peptides in solution are subject to hydrolysis and, depending on sequence, oxidation. Storage state and time in solution are practical variables that this board almost never discusses.

comment on is it normal to get sulphur burps at week 24 in c/retatrutide · 46 points · 2 years ago

Agreed on the heart-rate reports. They are consistent enough across the threads to be worth noting, not enough to be a finding.
