comment on the external review thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/insurancefights · 88 points · 8 months ago

New plan year, entirely new criteria, and the denial that had been immovable in the autumn simply did not apply in January.

Correcting myself upthread: the deadline was 3 days, not the figure I gave.

keep every date, every reference number, every name of a department

Not convinced by the comparison. Different services, different gradients, and you are treating one as ground truth.

This. Hypoglycaemia risk in this class is driven mostly by the other agents in the regimen.

Right, and keeping every date and reference number turns a frustrating process into an auditable one.

Same. My ICB threshold was different from the neighbouring one and nobody could tell me why.

What has been documented as tried, and for how long?

comment on genuine question about NHS that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/glp1uk · 8 points · 11 months ago

Discharge from a specialist service at goal is a normal end point of that pathway. Whether prescribing continues in primary care afterwards is a local decision and is worth asking about at the start rather than at the end.

Two years and four months on a tier 3 list.

This is why national advice does not work here. It is commissioned locally and it varies.

net peptide content if the report gives it, and say which you are quoting

comment on [Question] MHRA — what am I missing here in c/glp1uk · 10 points · 1 year ago

GP said no in the spring, specialist said yes eighteen months later.

Disagreeing with this line: that is the arrangement in one nation and the question is about another.

Same view. The second-level appeal is where mine turned, after a first-level denial that looked final.

That advice is jurisdiction-specific and this board spans several. Say where you are.

comment on [Question] Canada — has anyone got a straight answer on carrier in c/intlshipping · 230 points · 1 year ago

Four observations is not a distribution. The lane tables here only became predictive once individual routes had a dozen or more reports behind them.

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify shipping in c/intlshipping · 190 points · 1 year ago

Small fix — shipped from the regional warehouse, not from origin, which is why the number looks unusual.

I would not skip the peer-to-peer. It is often the fastest route and it costs a phone call.

Correction: that was clearance time, not carrier time. The lane table separates them for exactly this reason.

Same. ERP quoted 14 days on my lane and it landed at 8, which is exactly what you want from a quote.

Certain conditions affect A1c independently of glycaemia. If a result looks inconsistent with the sensor data, that is a question for whoever manages your care rather than for this board.

Ordered from the warehouse in Ireland instead of origin and the whole customs question disappeared. 12 days, door to door.

A1c, CGM, or fingersticks — which are we discussing?

permalink

comment on [Question] DHL — what am I missing here in c/intlshipping · 32 points · 1 year ago

Why this board reports by lane and not by supplier.

Agreed — and the decomposition matters. Most people are blaming the international leg for a last-mile problem.

comment on [Question] DHL — what am I missing here in c/intlshipping · 23 points · 1 year ago

Push back: comparing a July transit with a February one on the same lane is not a comparison.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify DHL in c/intlshipping · 5 points · 1 year ago

Small fix — shipped from the regional warehouse, not from origin, which is why the number looks unusual.

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about lane actually comes from shipping threads in c/intlshipping · 457 points · 1 year ago

Packaging is assessable on arrival with no equipment: rigid outer, no movement inside, the cold element sized to the transit rather than to the box.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about appeal until somebody posts a number in c/insurancefights · 40 points · 1 year ago

Appeal deadlines run from the date on the determination letter. They are strict, they are short, and a missed deadline usually forfeits that level entirely.

The template is vendor, compound, batch, service, claim, result, and who paid.

This is why the template has a batch field. Without it the result is about a vial nobody can identify.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] the below spec advice in here is 2 years out of date in c/labresults · 67 points · 2 years ago

Date of analysis anchors the result to a manufacturing period. A two-year-old result is evidence about two years ago and should be read that way.
