comment on [Results] came off deliberately over four months, regained 4kg not 24 in c/tapering · 0 points · 4 days ago
Regained most of it over a year and spent that year assuming it was my fault. It was not; it is what the literature describes.
comment on [Trial Data] what the STEP 4 and SURMOUNT-4 withdrawal arms actually showed in c/tapering · 3 points · 4 days ago
This. Decide in advance what you are watching for. Deciding in the middle of it is much harder.
comment on [Meta] we crossed 800k members and nothing about the rules changes in c/meta · 1 points · 1 months ago
Yes — a proposal with concrete wording gets discussed. A complaint about the rules in general does not.
comment on tried discontinuation for 13 weeks. here is what happened. in c/tapering · 84 points · 1 months ago
Stopped abruptly once and gradually once. The gradual one was easier to interpret because I could see what was changing.
comment on [Rules] no referral links. not once. not ever. permanent. in c/meta · 1 points · 1 months ago
sort by controversial occasionally, it is worth it
comment on week 34 check-in — 9kg down, reflux manageable, one thing confusing me in c/tapering · 1 points · 3 months ago
interval stretching is the most commonly described approach here
comment on is it normal to get sulphur burps at week 47 in c/tapering · 20 points · 4 months ago
With a week-long half-life, exposure declines over several weeks after the last dose rather than stopping with it. The lag is why the first fortnight is uninformative.
comment on is it normal to get sulphur burps at week 47 in c/tapering · 152 points · 4 months ago
Push back: that is a taper schedule aimed at another member and this board does not host those.
comment on [Meta] the moderation rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/meta · 63 points · 6 months ago

comment on help me understand interval stretching, I have read the wiki twice in c/tapering · 39 points · 7 months ago
Correcting myself upthread: appetite returned at week 11 for me, not the week I posted.
comment on help me understand interval stretching, I have read the wiki twice in c/tapering · 0 points · 7 months ago
Nothing on this board is a taper schedule, and no member can write one for another. What can be shared is what people watched and what they observed.
comment on stalled for 12 weeks at 1.0mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/tapering · 24 points · 8 months ago
There is very little published guidance on stopping specifically, which is exactly why board consensus here should carry less weight than usual and a clinician conversation should carry more.
comment on three years of ranking threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/meta · 22 points · 9 months ago
nobody here is paid, including the moderators
comment on help me understand tapering, I have read the wiki twice in c/tapering · 87 points · 10 months ago
watch appetite, not the scale, for the first month

sponsor disclosure is on the about page in full

Adding the one process step — write down where you are before you change anything.
comment on switched from 5mg to 10mg and nausea got better, not worse in c/tapering · 130 points · 1 year ago
Stretched from seven days to ten to twelve over four months. Appetite told me where the limit was each time.
comment on the discontinuation thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/tapering · 35 points · 1 year ago
Agreed that returning later is common and it is treated here as ordinary rather than as a defeat.
comment on the discontinuation thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/tapering · 126 points · 1 year ago
Agreed. Appetite is the leading indicator and the scale is the lagging one. Watch the first, not the second.
comment on switched from 0.5mg to 1.0mg and early fullness got better, not worse in c/tapering · 1 points · 1 year ago
the habits are what has to carry it afterwards
comment on 23 months in and interval stretching is still the thing I get wrong in c/tapering · 48 points · 1 year ago
I would not treat appetite returning as a sign of doing it wrong. It is the expected sequence.
comment on how much of what we believe about moderation actually comes from wiki threads in c/meta · 23 points · 1 year ago
modmail first, always, and the thread second
Agreed — concrete wording or it is not a proposal.

Right, and the habits from the losing phase are the part that has to outlive the dose.
adaeze_weiss is right that regain is a documented outcome rather than a character verdict.
