comment on [PBS] listing status and what it actually does to out-of-pocket in c/glp1aus · 1 points · 2 days ago

Small fix — that is the New Zealand arrangement, and the question is about Australia.

comment on [Results] came off deliberately over four months, regained 4kg not 24 in c/tapering · 9 points · 3 days ago

cost and supply are the two most common reasons and both are legitimate

permalink

comment on [Question] does carrier choice matter more than origin city in c/intlshipping · 11 points · 5 days ago

Disagree. That is a customs hold, not a carrier delay, and lumping them together makes the lane table wrong.

comment on [Regret] went 0.25 → 1.0 in three weeks and learned why that is dumb in c/darkspot · 2 points · 7 days ago

What would you do differently, specifically?

permalink

comment on do i need to keep it in the fridge before i mix it in c/newbiequestions · 13 points · 7 days ago

week two with nothing happening is normal

permalink

comment on how do i know if my dose is working in c/newbiequestions · 9 points · 12 days ago

My first question here was genuinely basic and it now shows up in search for other people asking it.

comment on how do i know if my dose is working in c/newbiequestions · 12 points · 13 days ago

Bacteriostatic water contains a preservative, which is what makes repeated entry into a vial reasonable.

This is the answer. Everything else in the thread is elaboration on it.

comment on [Discussion] restarting is not failing and we should say that louder in c/tapering · 28 points · 14 days ago

This. Decide in advance what you are watching for. Deciding in the middle of it is much harder.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] reship policy is the most underrated vendor differentiator in c/intlshipping · 8 points · 14 days ago

Yes — median rather than best case.

This is why the lane table is organised the way it is. The supplier is not the unit.

comment on Denmark: compounding, and what it actually costs here in c/glp1aus · 3 points · 15 days ago

PBS listing and TGA registration are two different questions

permalink

comment on [Lane Report] Tianjin → Canada, 14 days, two of three vials cracked in c/intlshipping · 21 points · 18 days ago

What was the packaging like on arrival?

permalink

comment on [Failure] vendor vanished mid-order with 11 people waiting in c/darkspot · -22 points · 18 days ago

Most of what gets posted here is procedural rather than dramatic: a step skipped, a document not requested, a temperature not considered, a pace chosen out of impatience.

comment on silly question but which day of the week should i pick in c/newbiequestions · 32 points · 1 months ago

no question is too basic here, that is the entire point of the board

permalink

comment on silly question but which day of the week should i pick in c/newbiequestions · 1 points · 1 months ago

Yes — nobody here is your clinician, and the good answers on this board all end with that.

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for compounding posts in c/glp1aus · 19 points · 1 months ago

Subsidy criteria and authority requirements are published. For eligibility questions those documents are authoritative and this board is not.

comment on stopped: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/darkspot · 5 points · 1 months ago

Contemporaneous notes matter most in exactly the situations where people are least inclined to write them. Memory reorganises a bad fortnight into a tidier story with a clearer villain.

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about regain actually comes from discontinuation threads in c/tapering · 1 points · 2 months ago

Cosigning that cost and supply are legitimate reasons. Most of the stopping threads here are one of those two.

comment on regret — my 19-week log, condensed into one table in c/darkspot · 1 points · 2 months ago

Chased the scale instead of the measurements for a year and made myself miserable for no additional progress.

permalink

comment on regret — my 19-week log, condensed into one table in c/darkspot · 13 points · 2 months ago

Was there a point where the information was available and you did not look?

permalink

comment on regret — my 19-week log, condensed into one table in c/darkspot · 1 points · 2 months ago

Went up too fast because the scale had stalled and I was impatient. Got early fullness I did not need and a data point I could not interpret.

permalink

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about what went wrong is guesswork in c/darkspot · 3 points · 2 months ago

Right, and stopping for money reasons is not a failure of anything. It is a budget.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify Australia in c/glp1aus · 11 points · 4 months ago

The national shortage database is a primary source with expected resolution dates attached. It is public, searchable, and consistently more accurate than reporting about it.

comment on stalled for 2 weeks at 15mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/newbiequestions · 8 points · 4 months ago

Is this your first step up or the starting dose?

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about EMS until somebody posts a number in c/intlshipping · 29 points · 4 months ago

ask which lines are actually held in the regional warehouse

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for lane posts in c/intlshipping · 7 points · 4 months ago

A lane is an origin, a destination, a carrier and a season. Change any one and the distribution changes, which is why supplier-level shipping averages are close to meaningless.

permalink

comment on anyone else notice what is kicking in around week 86 in c/newbiequestions · 54 points · 4 months ago

My first question here was genuinely basic and it now shows up in search for other people asking it.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about lost money in c/darkspot · 24 points · 5 months ago

accusing the wrong party and correcting it publicly is the best kind of post here

permalink

comment on [Question] EMS — what am I missing here in c/intlshipping · 141 points · 5 months ago

Disagree. That is a customs hold, not a carrier delay, and lumping them together makes the lane table wrong.

permalink

comment on tapering: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/tapering · 2 points · 5 months ago

the withdrawal data is unambiguous and it is not about willpower

permalink

comment on week 59 check-in — 30kg down, nausea manageable, one thing confusing me in c/tapering · 4 points · 6 months ago

regain is the expected outcome and framing it as failure helps nobody

This is the sentence that reframes the whole board. Appetite first, scale later.

permalink

comment on week 59 check-in — 30kg down, nausea manageable, one thing confusing me in c/tapering · 3 points · 6 months ago

Cosigning that cost and supply are legitimate reasons.

Adding the one process step — write down where you are before you change anything.

the fridge failure story happens every summer

permalink

comment on the packaging question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/intlshipping · 14 points · 8 months ago

Push back: comparing a July transit with a February one on the same lane is not a comparison.

permalink

comment on below spec — 2 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/darkspot · 6 points · 8 months ago

Contemporaneous notes matter most in exactly the situations where people are least inclined to write them. Memory reorganises a bad fortnight into a tidier story with a clearer villain.

permalink

comment on below spec — 2 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/darkspot · 4 points · 8 months ago

I would not generalise from one bad month to a rule. The rest of your process sounds fine.

permalink

comment on someone explain shipping to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/intlshipping · 1 points · 8 months ago

Total transit decomposes into first mile, international leg, clearance and last mile. Only the first two are meaningfully under the shipper’s control and most reported variance sits in the last two.

permalink

comment on [PSA] what went wrong is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/darkspot · 14 points · 9 months ago

Nothing here is medical advice, and the honest version of most of these posts is that they describe consequences rather than causes.

permalink

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about beginner is guesswork in c/newbiequestions · 159 points · 9 months ago

titration means going slow on the way up

permalink

comment on [Meta] the EMS rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/intlshipping · 12 points · 9 months ago

This. A quoted lead time that holds is worth more than a fast one that does not.
