light matters more than people think for some of these

if you want to know, log it, otherwise you are guessing

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about regulatory until somebody posts a number in c/bpc157 · 6 points · 11 months ago

Research-use-only material is not approved for human use. In this board that is not a formality — it is the reason the clinical evidence base is as thin as it is.

Agreed that receptor distribution is the key to the side-effect map. It is not a mystery, it is anatomy.

dual GLP-1 and glucagon agonist, and the glucagon arm is the story

Disagreeing with this bit: that number comes from a different programme with a different population.

Was there identity confirmation, or only a purity figure?

permalink

comment on [Question] integration — what am I missing here in c/hplc · 7 points · 1 year ago

Agreed. Two analysts, one trace, two integration choices, and a spread that has nothing to do with the vial.

comment on someone explain reflux to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/sideeffects · 17 points · 1 year ago

Nobody warned me about muscle cramps and I would have liked the warning. It was not dangerous, it was just deeply unpleasant and completely unexpected.

Reflux was the one that got me. Stopped eating in the three hours before bed and it went from nightly to almost never.

Has anything else changed in the same window?

comment on [Question] is 97.4% actually fine or am I being sold a rounding error in c/hplc · 3 points · 1 year ago

Resolution between two peaks depends on retention, selectivity and efficiency. A shallower gradient buys retention and usually resolution, at the cost of peak width and run time.

comment on what would you tell week-1 you about glucagon in c/retatrutide · 444 points · 1 year ago

Kept a log specifically because there is so little published. It is one person and it is not data.

Not convinced by that integration. Dropping the baseline there absorbs part of the shoulder into the main peak.

comment on [Vendor] HJ vs QYB on the same compound, same month — both cleared 97.0% in c/coa · 1 points · 1 year ago

Spent four months confusing area% and mass% in every post I made here. One explainer thread and it clicked permanently.

Carryover from a previous high-concentration injection looks exactly like a small impurity. The blank injection is four minutes and it removes the ambiguity entirely.

My first certificate had a compound name, a percentage and a logo. I thought that was normal. It is not, and now I know what to ask for.

I would not read a rounded figure as evasive. Plenty of documents round to one decimal as house style.

Asked CPC which lines they keep in regional stock versus make to order and got a clear split. It changed what I ordered.

comment on tendon: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/bpc157 · 11 points · 1 year ago

Small fix — fifteen residues, not seventeen. The sequence is public and easy to check.

permalink

Cosigning the wavelength point. Half the disagreements in this board are two people looking at different detectors.

comment on the HPLC thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/hplc · 2 points · 1 year ago

Method questions stay here; supplier claims go to c/vendorvetting with a document attached.

peak_area_pete is right — the integration choice is a decision and it should be stated alongside the result.

Small fix — 214nm, not 210. It matters for the comparison you are making with the other run.

Disagree with naming anyone on that basis. One person’s bad month is not a pattern and the sidebar exists for this exact reason.

That claim traces back to a single preclinical paper that says something considerably narrower.
