comment on reading identity threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/researchpeptides · 1 points · 6 months ago

Ordered under a name that turned out to cover two different molecules. Nobody’s fault but mine for not asking.

Are the related substances itemised or is it a single total?

Right. And the sema-to-tirz "conversion" people post is invented. There is no published equivalence.

PBS listing and TGA registration are two different questions

That figure is a private price at one pharmacy, not a national one.

Which lane, and what was the quoted lead time at checkout?

permalink

comment on [Question] New Zealand — has anyone got a straight answer on shortage in c/glp1aus · 12 points · 8 months ago

Agreed that the published criteria are the authority. They are searchable and most people never look.

permalink

comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about purity is guesswork in c/coa · 0 points · 11 months ago

Ask what the stability statement was written against — temperature, light, and whether it was the lyophilised powder or the reconstituted solution. Those are three different claims.

comment on SURMOUNT: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/tirzepatide · 68 points · 11 months ago

Vials and pens carry the same molecule; what differs is fill volume, device tolerance and whether you are doing your own arithmetic. Neither is inherently more accurate.

comment on the testing question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/vendorvetting · 6 points · 1 year ago

Started buying small deliberately, tested every lot for the first four, then stopped testing every lot because there was nothing to find.

permalink

comment on how much of what we believe about Mounjaro actually comes from SURMOUNT threads in c/tirzepatide · 59 points · 1 year ago

Agreed, and the trial number is a mean of a very wide distribution — the tails are enormous and nobody posts from the middle.

The 21% figure is a 72-week mean on the highest arm. Quoting it as what someone should expect by week 29 is not a fair reading.

Where a supplier holds regional stock, ask which lines are actually held there rather than drop-shipped. It changes the lead time and it changes the customs question.

compounded supply arrangements changed and the threads have not caught up

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring VendorInvestigate at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/vendorvetting · 12 points · 1 year ago

Agreed — and the corollary is that "no data" and "bad data" have to be written differently.

This is the whole method in one sentence. Everything else in the thread is elaboration.

Went 10 to 12.5 on the calendar and had the worst fortnight of the whole run. Dropped back to 10 and everything settled.

Area percent is the peak area of your compound over the total integrated area, at one wavelength, on one gradient. It is a relative measure of what the detector saw, not a mass fraction of the vial.

Disagree that reviews are worthless. They are worthless when they say "fast shipping A+++". A dated one naming a compound and a document is evidence.

permalink

comment on why does nobody talk about water content in c/coa · 172 points · 1 year ago

That is the catalogue certificate rather than the batch-specific one. Same layout, completely different status.

permalink

comment on help me understand Medutest, I have read the wiki twice in c/vendorvetting · 1 points · 1 year ago

That is a report count, not a test count. The table lists both and they are very different numbers.

Registration by the therapeutic goods regulator establishes that a product may be supplied. Subsidy listing is a separate decision about public funding, with its own criteria and its own timetable.

permalink

comment on [PSA] testing is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/vendorvetting · 174 points · 1 year ago

Yes, and the reason the wider-market table has no scores is that a score built on two reports would be a lie with a decimal point.

Stocked lines and made-to-order lines have different lead times and different storage histories. Both are ordinary; the difference is worth confirming before you commit.

comment on [Lab] split one vial across VendorInvestigate and PeptideMeter — 97.2% and 96.8% in c/coa · 133 points · 1 year ago

Started keeping a folder of every certificate I have been sent. The ones that itemise impurities are a small group and they are mostly the same suppliers.
