comment on [Pricing] four countries, same product, same week, 2.4x spread in c/glp1eu · 2 points · 4 days ago

Supply notices are issued nationally. A notice in one member state does not imply availability problems in another, even for the same product.

Same method at both labs, or two different gradients?

Fat-free mass index is a ratio of fat-free mass to height squared. It moves when either term does, which makes it awkward to interpret during active weight change.

I would not change the programme on the strength of one scan. The measurement error is larger than the effect you are reacting to.

Agreed — protein and resistance training. Everything else in these threads is a rounding error on those two.

That is area percent, not mass percent. The trace cannot give you the second one.

How many weeks between the two scans?

Correcting myself upthread: 22 months between scans, not the figure I gave.

Removed a prescriptive nutrition target aimed at another member.

lift_heavy_things is right that protein becomes a logistics problem when appetite drops.

comment on why does nobody talk about HPLC in c/hplc · 44 points · 4 months ago

System suitability — repeat injections, tailing factor, plate count, RSD on area — is what tells you the instrument was fit for the measurement that d

Agreed. And the corollary is that the method line on a certificate is not decoration, it is the number’s provenance.

comment on help me understand lean mass, I have read the wiki twice in c/glp1muscle · 13 points · 6 months ago

Correction: those scans are from different machines, and the difference you are describing is within the measurement error.

Agreed.

Adding one practical thing — run the blank. It answers this before anyone has to argue about it.

The site had a decade of testimonials and a domain registered in March. That was the entire investigation.

The variation between pharmacies inside my own country was larger than the variation I had been chasing across the border.

Push back: strength dropping in a deficit is not the same as lean mass loss. Related, not identical.

comment on does gradient actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/hplc · 3 points · 9 months ago

Yes — system suitability first. Without it the number is an assertion about the instrument, not the sample.

This. Same machine, same protocol, or the DEXA comparison is measuring the scanner.

Lost money once, years ago, to a shop that pushed hard for a decision the same day. Every time I see that pressure now I close the tab.

comment on reading pharmacy threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/glp1eu · 13 points · 1 year ago

Correcting myself upthread: the criterion I quoted was updated for this year.

Agreed — and normalising pack size before comparing prices is the fix for half these threads.

comment on the Netherlands: EMA, and what it actually costs here in c/glp1eu · 1 points · 1 year ago

Published reimbursement criteria exist in most member states and are usually available in the national language.

Disagreeing with this bit: that criterion belongs to one member state and is being quoted as general.
