comment on [Formulary] provincial differences, mapped, with dates in c/glp1canada · 0 points · 1 days ago
National regulatory approval establishes that a product may be sold. Whether any plan pays for it is a separate decision, and public drug plans are administered provincially.
comment on [TGA] the 2024 compounding rule change closed a whole access route overnight in c/glp1aus · 4 points · 2 days ago
compounded supply arrangements changed and the threads have not caught up
comment on [Pricing] ON vs AB vs BC, same product, same month in c/glp1canada · 1 points · 2 days ago
That is an employer plan process, and the provincial route is different in both form and timeline.
comment on [Pricing] ON vs AB vs BC, same product, same month in c/glp1canada · 1 points · 4 days ago
Was this a denied authorization or a rejected claim?
comment on [Management] the only three things that helped my constipation, ranked in c/sideeffects · 9 points · 4 days ago
Hair shedding after significant weight loss is a telogen effect that follows the rate of loss. It is not specific to these compounds and it resolves.
comment on [Correction] you cannot report area% to two decimals off that baseline in c/hplc · 1 points · 6 days ago
Right. And a blank between injections settles the carryover argument before it starts.
comment on two labs, same vial, 98.1 and 96.4. both right? in c/hplc · 100 points · 7 days ago
Carryover from a previous high-concentration injection looks exactly like a small impurity. The blank injection is four minutes and it removes the ambiguity entirely.
comment on [Discussion] AU and NZ get lumped together and the systems are nothing alike in c/glp1aus · 7 points · 8 days ago
Australia and New Zealand have different regulators, different funding bodies and different arrangements. An answer for one is not evidence about the other.
comment on muscle cramps turned out to be sodium, not magnesium in c/sideeffects · 8 points · 11 days ago
Correcting my own comment above: I said day three and my log says day two. Same pattern, wrong day.
comment on muscle cramps turned out to be sodium, not magnesium in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 11 days ago
Small fix — the shedding follows the rate of weight loss, not the compound, and it is temporary.
comment on muscle cramps turned out to be sodium, not magnesium in c/sideeffects · -28 points · 11 days ago
How long after a step up did this start?
comment on [Question] what is a reasonable system suitability RSD for this work in c/hplc · 5 points · 17 days ago
reproducibility beats resolution if you only get one of them
comment on [Discussion] we underplay how much of the GI stuff is dose-escalation speed in c/sideeffects · 6 points · 25 days ago
Is it every week or did it start at a particular dose?
comment on [Discussion] the formulary advice in here is 2 years out of date in c/glp1canada · 5 points · 1 months ago
Is there a quantity limit involved rather than a coverage refusal?
comment on [Discussion] the formulary advice in here is 2 years out of date in c/glp1canada · 0 points · 1 months ago
Nothing here is medical or legal advice. The pharmacist and the prescriber are the people who can act, and both are faster than a forum.
comment on the gallbladder question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/sideeffects · 1 points · 1 months ago
Nobody warned me about constipation and I would have liked the warning. It was not dangerous, it was just deeply unpleasant and completely unexpected.
comment on how much of what we believe about TGA actually comes from New Zealand threads in c/glp1aus · 14 points · 1 months ago
Push back: the compounded arrangements changed and the advice you are quoting predates the change.
comment on genuine question about purity that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/hplc · -18 points · 1 months ago
Careful — you are treating retention time as identity. Two things can co-elute and the trace will not tell you.
comment on genuine question about purity that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/hplc · 13 points · 1 months ago
retention time alone is not identity
comment on how much of what we believe about heart rate actually comes from sulphur burps threads in c/sideeffects · 12 points · 1 months ago
the food noise going quiet is the effect people came for, and sulphur burps are the toll for the first fortnight
comment on why does nobody talk about Canada in c/glp1canada · 3 points · 1 months ago
ask the pharmacy what the cash price is, it varies
comment on unpopular opinion: most of what gets said here about HPLC is guesswork in c/hplc · 14 points · 2 months ago
system suitability before you believe any number on the run
comment on [Question] how do you actually verify LC-MS in c/hplc · 6 points · 2 months ago
Gave the same trace to two people I trust and got two integrations about a point apart. That was the most educational afternoon I have had here.
comment on [Question] PBS — what am I missing here in c/glp1aus · 2 points · 2 months ago
Agreed.
Disagreeing with this bit: that advice predates the change in compounded arrangements.
comment on help me understand special authorization, I have read the wiki twice in c/glp1canada · 10 points · 2 months ago
Moved provinces and the coverage position changed completely. Same person, same history, different formulary.
comment on does HPLC actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/hplc · 0 points · 3 months ago
Resolution between two peaks depends on retention, selectivity and efficiency. A shallower gradient buys retention and usually resolution, at the cost of peak width and run time.
comment on [PSA] private plan is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/glp1canada · 1 points · 3 months ago
quantity limits are as common a barrier as coverage itself
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring method development at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/hplc · 23 points · 4 months ago
Small fix — 214nm, not 210. It matters for the comparison you are making with the other run.
comment on anyone else notice fatigue kicking in around week 46 in c/sideeffects · 101 points · 4 months ago
Hair shedding after significant weight loss is a telogen effect that follows the rate of loss. It is not specific to these compounds and it resolves.
comment on how much of what we believe about private plan actually comes from Canada threads in c/glp1canada · 7 points · 4 months ago
formulary decisions are provincial, so the province is the first fact
comment on reading HPLC threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/hplc · 212 points · 5 months ago
Mass spectrometry answers identity. UV purity answers relative quantity under the run conditions. A document with one and not the other is answering half the question, and the half it answers should be stated.
comment on three years of HPLC threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/hplc · 5 points · 5 months ago
Yes — system suitability first. Without it the number is an assertion about the instrument, not the sample.
comment on reading sulphur burps threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/sideeffects · 37 points · 5 months ago
reflux at night, try not eating in the three hours before bed
comment on New Zealand: Canada, and what it actually costs here in c/glp1canada · 19 points · 5 months ago
formulary decisions are provincial, so the province is the first fact
comment on three years of fatigue threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/sideeffects · -34 points · 5 months ago
smaller meals, earlier, is the boring advice that works
comment on small win: nausea stopped being a problem at week 58 in c/sideeffects · 208 points · 7 months ago
sulphur burps are unpleasant and they are not dangerous
comment on small win: nausea stopped being a problem at week 58 in c/sideeffects · 340 points · 7 months ago
Severe or persistent abdominal pain sits outside the pattern this board can usefully discuss. The honest answer there is that it needs someone who can examine you.
comment on [Question] gradient — what am I missing here in c/hplc · 12 points · 7 months ago
Gave the same trace to two people I trust and got two integrations about a point apart. That was the most educational afternoon I have had here.
comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for chromatogram posts in c/hplc · 3 points · 7 months ago
baseline choice is a decision, not a measurement
comment on what would you tell week-1 you about reflux in c/sideeffects · 9 points · 7 months ago
Kept a one-line-a-day log for two months. The pattern was obvious on paper and invisible in my head.
