A compounded vial can be filled at a different concentration from the branded product you were previously using. If you carry over your old arithmetic — same number of units, different mg/mL — you draw a different amount and may not notice for weeks.

Read the label every time you switch. Redo the arithmetic on paper. Write the concentration on the vial. It is the same habit c/reconstitution keeps preaching and this is the case where it actually bites.

Asked a pharmacist about the absorption question rather than the internet. Ten minutes, clear answer, done.

Keeping a log, and what to put in it.

One line a day: dose, day since injection, what the symptom was and how bad out of five, and roughly what you ate. Two months of that fits on one page and the pattern is obvious on paper in a way it never is in your head.

Mine showed a clean day-two-to-day-four window I had been describing as "random". Once you can see the pattern you can plan around it, and planning around it is most of the relief.

A beyond-use date derived from published stability data means something different from one assigned by default rule. Asking which is a fair question and the answer is usually available.

I would not draw a trend line through that. Two points and a gap is not a series.

Anything about pregnancy, planning a pregnancy, or contraception efficacy goes to a clinician. Absorption questions about a specific oral product go to a pharmacist, who can look it up in minutes. Fertility changes with weight loss are well described and worth raising with whoever prescribes, in advance rather than afterwards.

What stays here usefully: experience, cycle-annotated patterns, the vocabulary, and the collective knowledge that a research gap exists. That is a genuinely valuable set of things and it is a smaller set than people arriving here expect. Nothing on this board is medical advice and on this board that is not a formality.

LC-MS gives you identity; UV purity gives you a relative quantity. A document with the first and not the second, or the reverse, is answering half the question.

What concentration is on the label, and does it match what you were expecting?

On buying things to fix side effects, which I did extensively and would not do again.

The interventions that changed anything for me were all behavioural and free: smaller meals, eating slower, stopping food a few hours before sleep, more fibre and considerably more water. The things I bought did nothing I could detect, and I was motivated to detect something.

The other lever, which people forget, is time at dose. Holding rather than stepping is a legitimate plan and it fixed my tolerance where nothing else did.

Memory smooths. Reconstructing a fortnight from recollection produces a series that is more regular, more consistent with your current beliefs, and quietly wrong in a direction that flatters the story you are already telling.

I found this out by reconstructing six weeks and later finding order receipts that contradicted my own entries. The log was not a little wrong; it was wrong in exactly the direction that made my narrative work. Write it down on the day, even the boring days, especially the boring days.
