comment on [Private Plan] special authorisation approved on the second try in c/glp1canada · 1 points · 2 days ago

That is an employer plan process, and the provincial route is different in both form and timeline.

a telehealth intake that asks nothing has told you what it is

Disagreeing with this bit: registration is not equivalence, and the two get run together constantly.

comment on [Denied] reason code says "not medically necessary" at BMI 38. sure. in c/insurancefights · 1 points · 3 days ago

I would not skip the peer-to-peer.

oskar_kaufmann is right that this is documentation rather than persuasion. It took me a year to accept that.

Same view. If the intake asked you nothing, the intake was a formality and you should factor that in.

ask which facility, then ask for their testing

This. Ask for the batch record. The ones who send it inside a day have told you more than any review could.

comment on [Discussion] denial reason codes decoded, mostly fixable paperwork in c/insurancefights · 10 points · 15 days ago

Same view. The second-level appeal is where mine turned, after a first-level denial that looked final.

comment on [Vendor] TFC quoted 11 days to Eastern Canada and hit it four times running in c/vendorvetting · 235 points · 28 days ago

Lead time and minimum quantity are the two facts people forget to ask for and then argue about later. Both are answerable in one email before you commit.

comment on [Resolved] the QST batch dispute — vendor retested, numbers matched, my error in c/vendorvetting · 8 points · 28 days ago

Correction: that supplier is in the documented twenty with a source page, not in the wider-market table. Different evidence bases entirely.

buy small first, test it, then decide

Six orders across two years from FGP. Same packaging, same paperwork, same lead time. The most boring supplier relationship I have and I mean that as praise.

comment on [Vendor] MKM — five tests, four compounds, nothing outside the band in c/vendorvetting · 5 points · 1 months ago

Regional stock made more difference to my planning than anything else — ordering from a warehouse in Sweden took the customs question off the table entirely.

ask what the beyond-use date is based on

permalink

comment on i keep a spreadsheet of every vendor claim and whether it survived contact with a lab in c/vendorvetting · 22 points · 1 months ago

Mild pushback: a supplier with fewer entries is not worse, it is less sampled. Those are different claims and the table says so.

comment on [Vendor] SGN is a real company with real catalogue chemistry and people still doubt it in c/vendorvetting · 11 points · 1 months ago

the wider-market names in the table are there because nobody has enough data on them

Not convinced by the ranking-by-vibe approach here. The community number is derived from reports; your feeling is derived from four posts you remember.

That figure is the starting material purity, not the finished preparation potency. Two different tests.

ask for the batch record before you ask for a discount

ask which facility, then ask for their testing

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for Janoshik posts in c/vendorvetting · 23 points · 2 months ago

the interesting column is spread, not maximum

permalink

comment on [Lab] split one vial across Medutest and Janoshik — 96.2% and 99.2% in c/vendorvetting · 56 points · 2 months ago

Careful. "Nobody has tested Core Peptides" is a statement about this board, not about the supplier. Say the first thing, not the second.

Asked CPC for the batch record on a Tuesday and had the full document, batch and method line, before the end of the day. That is the bar now.

Cosigning on lot matching. It sounds trivial and it predicts almost everything else about how an operation is run.

permalink

comment on does 503B actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/compounding · 5 points · 3 months ago

Correction: patient-specific refers to the prescription, not to a bespoke formulation. Common misreading and it changes the argument.

a template letter that quotes their own criteria back is the strongest one

permalink

comment on [Discussion] state board is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/compounding · 1 points · 4 months ago

Not convinced. You are comparing a compounded concentration with a branded one and assuming they match.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] state board is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/compounding · 175 points · 4 months ago

503A is patient-specific, 503B is outsourcing facility, they are not the same thing

Same view — private and provincial plans are genuinely different processes with different appeal routes.

permalink

Have you seen the special authorization criteria for your province?

permalink

comment on someone explain Canada to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/glp1canada · -16 points · 6 months ago

Small fix — that formulary position is another province’s and does not apply here.

diego_almeida is right that a rejected claim and a denied authorization are different animals.
