comment on [Trial Data] REDEFINE 1 — what cagri adds on top of sema in c/cagrilintide · 6 points · 2 days ago

Which trial and which readout?

comment on [Question] does anyone have the special authorisation criteria in writing in c/glp1canada · 1 points · 4 days ago

the exception drug status route exists in several provinces

comment on [Failure] 61.2% purity on a vial i had already been using for six weeks in c/darkspot · 19 points · 5 days ago

That reads as a warning about a documented supplier and the events you describe are about a shop nobody has any record of.

permalink

comment on [Denied] employer carve-out was in the plan document, not the summary in c/insurancefights · 4 points · 7 days ago

Careful — the deadline runs from the date on the letter. Waiting for a call back can cost you the appeal entirely.

permalink

comment on [Regain] 4kg back over a year and i am calling that a win in c/maintenancephase · 11 points · 15 days ago

Drifted up 6kg over a winter and panicked. It came back off without any change, which is apparently just what weight does.

comment on [Trial Data] nausea rates in the combination arm vs sema alone in c/cagrilintide · 1 points · 17 days ago

amylin analogue, different receptor family, different story

comment on [Vendor] TFC quoted 11 days to Eastern Canada and hit it four times running in c/vendorvetting · 39 points · 26 days ago

That reads as a recommendation and the source pages deliberately are not. They are a record you use to make your own decision.

comment on light exposure matters more for some compounds than others and nobody tabulates it in c/coldchain · 3 points · 29 days ago

Once in solution, the relevant risks are hydrolysis, aggregation and, for some sequences, oxidation. Refrigeration slows all three; freezing a solution introduces a separate risk at the ice interface.

comment on does ice pack actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/coldchain · 298 points · 1 months ago

You cannot infer potency from a temperature record.

Disagreeing with this line only: freezing a reconstituted vial is not a safe default.

permalink

comment on [Failure] two years in, stopped for financial reasons, regained most of it in c/darkspot · 17 points · 1 months ago

the regret is usually about pace, not about the decision

permalink

comment on [Meta] the goal weight rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/maintenancephase · 44 points · 1 months ago

Appetite returning before the scale moves follows from the mechanism: the appetite effect is the proximal one and weight is the lagging integrated outcome.

comment on the UK: excursion, and what it actually costs here in c/coldchain · 1 points · 1 months ago

A transit temperature logger records a distribution, and time above a threshold matters as much as peak temperature. That is the argument for logging rather than guessing.

comment on the UK: excursion, and what it actually costs here in c/coldchain · 1 points · 1 months ago

Correction: that stability figure covers the lyophilised powder, not the reconstituted solution. Different claim entirely.

What was the packaging — rigid outer, gel packs, anything insulating?

permalink

comment on three years of prior authorization threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/insurancefights · 53 points · 1 months ago

Appeal deadlines run from the date on the determination letter.

camila_vasquez is right that this is documentation rather than persuasion. It took me a year to accept that.

stopping for financial reasons is not a personal failure

permalink

comment on maintenance is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/maintenancephase · 123 points · 2 months ago

Drifted up 9kg over a winter and panicked. It came back off without any change, which is apparently just what weight does.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify satiety in c/cagrilintide · 2 points · 2 months ago

Independent purity data on this compound is sparse compared with the older molecules, simply because far fewer members have paid for testing.

Agreed, and the combination arms are where the interesting numbers actually live.

permalink

comment on [Struggle] regained 6kg over a winter and i am posting it anyway in c/progresspics · 13 points · 2 months ago

Not convinced comparison helps here. The people posting the fastest results are the tail of a distribution, not the middle.

permalink

comment on formulary — 15 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/glp1canada · 6 points · 2 months ago

Nothing here is medical or legal advice. The pharmacist and the prescriber are the people who can act, and both are faster than a forum.

comment on how much of what we believe about DEXA actually comes from sarcopenia threads in c/glp1muscle · 1 points · 2 months ago

Started weighing protein rather than estimating it. The gap between what I thought and what I ate was embarrassing.

permalink

Correction: those scans are from different machines, and the difference you are describing is within the measurement error.

losing weight slower does not automatically preserve more lean mass

permalink

That protein figure is grams per day, not grams per kilogram. Different claim entirely.

Same DEXA machine both times?

permalink

comment on the long term question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/maintenancephase · 1 points · 2 months ago

Not convinced. Interval stretching changes your exposure profile, not just the total, and the two are not equivalent.

permalink

comment on help me understand special authorization, I have read the wiki twice in c/glp1canada · 4 points · 2 months ago

Kept every form and reference number. When they had no record of a submission, I did.

permalink

comment on the excursion thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/coldchain · 45 points · 2 months ago

Correction: that stability figure covers the lyophilised powder, not the reconstituted solution. Different claim entirely.

permalink

comment on appeal is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/insurancefights · 18 points · 3 months ago

Correction: that is a formulary exclusion, not a prior authorisation denial. Different form, different route, different deadline.

permalink

comment on exit scam is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/scamalerts · 1 points · 3 months ago

Never name an individual.

Disagreeing here: that is a delay, and this board has to keep delay and intent in separate columns.

Ordered from the warehouse in Germany instead of origin and the transit went from a fortnight to 6 days. Entirely different proposition in August.

permalink

comment on someone explain regain to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/maintenancephase · 5 points · 3 months ago

Dose reduction and interval extension are different interventions. Halving the dose keeps the rhythm and lowers the level; stretching keeps the level and lowers the frequency, with a lower trough.

Have you asked the supplier what they declare?

permalink

comment on [Question] Canada — has anyone got a straight answer on special authorization in c/glp1canada · 5 points · 4 months ago

Yes. Cash prices vary and comparing them before assuming coverage is the only route is worth doing.
