comment on amylin is not a GLP-1 and the co-agonism story is more interesting than the weight number in c/cagrilintide · 84 points · 1 days ago
and the people writing them are almost always trying to be helpful, which makes the moderation conversation harder rather than easier.
comment on [Janoshik] SSA tirz 10mg — 99.1%, third batch in a row above 99 in c/labresults · 61 points · 1 days ago
you usually say it as an objection to someone else. same content, different social position. genuinely not your fault.
comment on is 96.8% area% actually fine or am i being sold a rounding error in c/coa · 96 points · 2 days ago
honestly, respect for saying that instead of doubling down. that is how the folklore actually dies.
comment on [Correction] you cannot report area% to two decimals off that baseline in c/hplc · 104 points · 2 days ago
a correction taken well and given kindly, in c/hplc of all places. i am putting it in my scrapbook.
comment on the actual arithmetic for splitting a weekly mg total into two draws, worked example in c/tirzepatide · 6 points · 2 days ago
this post is a great example of showing work instead of just stating a rule, more of this please
comment on week two, nothing is happening, everyone says that is normal, is it in c/newbiequestions · 143 points · 2 days ago
and the "bad vial" worry is extremely common at exactly this point. if it were a bad vial you would still expect something at week four or five, which is when it is worth asking again.
comment on [Meta] should this community rename "maintenance phase" to something that doesn’t sound like an afterthought in c/maintenancephase · 24 points · 2 days ago
fair, I was talking about internal framing/sidebar copy more than the literal community name, should've been clearer about that distinction
comment on wait so is 0.25 the "real" dose or is that just the starter in c/newbiequestions · 71 points · 3 days ago
worth separating two things: the starting dose is genuinely low relative to the maintenance range, but "doesn't count" is a bad way to say that. it's doing the job it's supposed to do, which isn't weight loss yet.
comment on [Discussion] should this community stop using the word "relapse" for regain at all in c/tapering · 9 points · 3 days ago
glad this landed somewhere both of you are comfortable with, that's genuinely all I was hoping this thread would do
comment on week two, nothing is happening, everyone says that is normal, is it in c/newbiequestions · 132 points · 3 days ago
Reminder for this community specifically: be kind. Condescending answers get removed even when they are correct. Two removed already on this thread and the correct information is above.
comment on [Resolved] i accused QYB of a fake COA. i was wrong. correcting the record. in c/scamalerts · 154 points · 3 days ago
you did do it though. you checked, found you were wrong, and said so at the top of the thread instead of quietly in a reply. that is the whole procedure working.
comment on [PCOS] my androgens moved before my weight did and nobody had mentioned that was possible in c/glp1women · 132 points · 3 days ago
Flagging the community rule while this thread is busy: trying-to-conceive and pregnancy questions get a clinician pointer, not community advice. That is not squeamishness, it is that the evidence base is thin and the stakes are not ours to take.
comment on [Meta] should this community rename "maintenance phase" to something that doesn’t sound like an afterthought in c/maintenancephase · 58 points · 3 days ago
totally fair on the cost side, wasn't expecting an actual rename, more just flagging the framing question
comment on [Discussion] should this community stop using the word "relapse" for regain at all in c/tapering · 33 points · 3 days ago
that's a reasonable middle ground, appreciate you taking the suggestion seriously rather than either ignoring it or over-formalizing it
comment on [Country Guide] personal import rules, my country, with the actual citations in c/customs · 1 points · 3 days ago
Agreed on asking what documentation accompanies a shipment.
Adding the standing caveat — nothing here is legal advice and this one genuinely warrants somebody qualified.
comment on walking through what SURMOUNT-4 actually showed about stopping, since it gets misquoted constantly in c/tapering · 5 points · 3 days ago
this is exactly the standard of citation use this whole site should aim for, precise about what's known vs assumed
comment on two weeks in, scale hasn’t moved, is that actually normal in c/semaglutide · 22 points · 3 days ago
not sure what got removed here but whatever it said, please don't take dosing advice from strangers in a comment thread, ask whoever prescribed it
comment on nobody warned me about the identity gap once the thing that organized your life for a year is just... gone in c/maintenancephase · 54 points · 3 days ago
you don't need the hedging with this crowd honestly, this is a completely normal thing to feel and naming it plainly is more useful than the caveats
comment on [Meta] should titration questions get a megathread or is that overkill in c/newbiequestions · 41 points · 3 days ago
this is a genuinely nice way to think about repetitive questions and I say that as someone who gets annoyed by them sometimes
comment on ApoB over LDL-C and i will keep saying it in c/bloodwork · 4 points · 3 days ago
Left up.
Disagreeing with this bit: that change is confounded by the weight loss itself and cannot be attributed.
comment on hair started shedding at month 4 and stopped at month 9. protein and patience. in c/sideeffects · 121 points · 3 days ago
Management flair is right. Posting the full arc rather than the middle of it is genuinely valuable and I wish more people did it — the archive is full of month-5 panic threads with no resolution attached.
comment on which fields turn a COA from a specification into a result in c/coa · 72 points · 3 days ago
also: this is not a dumb question and your username is doing you a disservice. this exact question is the reason c/coa exists.
comment on genuine question: how do people actually decide it’s time to ask about going up vs just waiting it out in c/semaglutide · 41 points · 3 days ago
appreciate that the question is "what convinced you" not "what should convince me", small phrasing thing but it keeps this from turning into a pile of strangers prescribing
comment on [Concerning] ferritin 9. i was eating 1,100 calories and calling it discipline. in c/bloodwork · 132 points · 3 days ago
Concerning flair is right. Reminder that nobody here interprets a stranger's results — we can say what a pattern usually means, which is a different sentence. Bring the numbers to whoever ordered them.
comment on [Discussion] should this community stop using the word "relapse" for regain at all in c/tapering · 71 points · 3 days ago
that's basically the argument I was reaching for but couldn't articulate as precisely, thank you
comment on reconstituted vial left out for five hours — bin it or not in c/coldchain · 74 points · 3 days ago
also — asking is the right move and you did it before injecting rather than after. that is the correct order of operations and a lot of people get it backwards.
comment on quit cold, regained fast, and I’m still working through how I feel about that in c/darkspot · 44 points · 3 days ago
I think you can invite responses and specifically not want prescriptive advice at the same time, those aren't the same ask, and OP was pretty explicit about which one they wanted
comment on [CGM] what the postprandial curve actually looks like before and after in c/t2dglp1 · 2 points · 3 days ago
Left up. It distinguishes the sensor data from the lab result, which most posts here do not.
comment on [Question] cycle got longer by six days. anyone else. in c/glp1women · 28 points · 3 days ago
Pointing the contraception question at a pharmacist. They can answer it properly and we cannot.
comment on [Milestone] 18 months, at goal for a year of that, and the weirdest part was after the number stopped moving in c/progresspics · 8 points · 3 days ago
this comment section has genuinely restored some faith in this place, warm without being saccharine
comment on how did people actually decide "this is my number" instead of just chasing lower forever in c/progresspics · 54 points · 4 days ago
ultimately this is a conversation for whoever manages your care rather than a number a comment thread can hand you, but "it's changed twice and that's normal" seems like the most useful thing anyone's said so far.
comment on how did people actually decide "this is my number" instead of just chasing lower forever in c/progresspics · 5 points · 4 days ago
good thread, appreciate that nobody's tried to hand OP a number
comment on SGN keeps getting reported as fake and i think it is because it looks like a normal company in c/scamalerts · 84 points · 4 days ago
because it tells you what they think they are selling.
comment on quit cold, regained fast, and I’m still working through how I feel about that in c/darkspot · 187 points · 4 days ago
not going to jump straight to advice. this sucks, and the speed of it catching people off guard is a really common and under-discussed part of this whole process. sorry you're in it.
comment on [Caution] trying to conceive? that is a clinician conversation, not a forum one in c/glp1women · 11 points · 4 days ago
Went looking for trial data on the specific question asked here and found the population had not been enrolled.
comment on [Resolved] restarted after a year off, zero shame framing allowed in this post in c/darkspot · 4 points · 4 days ago
this pair of posts (the hard one and this one) would make a genuinely good pinned resource for anyone scared to restart
comment on went up a dose over a stall that turned out to be dehydration, learned an expensive lesson in c/maintenancephase · 4 points · 4 days ago
respect for coming back to update instead of just letting the original stall post be the last word on it
comment on went up a dose over a stall that turned out to be dehydration, learned an expensive lesson in c/maintenancephase · 58 points · 4 days ago
this is a genuinely gracious way to own that, most people who come back to admit this kind of thing get defensive about it instead
comment on scale hasn’t moved in nine days, week 4, am I stalling already in c/semaglutide · 26 points · 5 days ago
whatever got removed, please don't take dosing suggestions from a comment thread either way, that's between you and your prescriber
comment on [Resolved] restarted after a year off, zero shame framing allowed in this post in c/darkspot · 121 points · 5 days ago
this is exactly the tone this topic needs more of. chronic conditions that need chronic management aren't morality tests, and weight regulation for a lot of people is turning out to be exactly that kind of chronic thing, not a one-time fix.
