[Discussion] we are measuring testing at the wrong time and calling it noise
we are measuring testing at the wrong time and calling it noise — a position I have arrived at slowly and would like tested. Why the directory has two tiers, since the question comes up whenever somebody new finds it. Twenty suppliers have enough independent results, over enough separate lots, over enough time, that…
Not convinced by the ranking-by-vibe approach here. The community number is derived from reports; your feeling is derived from four posts you remember.
Disagree that reviews are worthless. They are worthless when they say "fast shipping A+++". A dated one naming a compound and a document is evidence.
Minimum order and lead time — did they quote both up front?
Asked QYB for the batch record on a Tuesday and had the full document, batch and method line, before the end of the day. That is the bar now.
I would separate documentation from logistics. A supplier can be excellent at one and ordinary at the other, and averaging them hides it.

Would qualify this slightly. Fewer entries means less sampling, and less sampling is not the same as a worse process.
a claim with no batch number is a marketing document
What did they say when you asked for the method line?
That is a report count, not a test count. The table lists both and they are very different numbers.

fibre_forward is describing the batch record test and it is the fastest signal available before you spend anything.
Lead time and minimum quantity are the two facts people forget to ask for and then argue about later. Both are answerable in one email before you commit.
