[Discussion] we are measuring cloned site at the wrong time and calling it noise
we are measuring cloned site at the wrong time and calling it noise. Not a hot take, just something I have not seen said plainly here. Nearly paid a cloned storefront. Caught it because one character in the domain was wrong and I paste rather than type. The directory deliberately separates "we have nothing on this…
Domain age, registrar and certificate issuance date are all public and take about a minute to check. A site claiming years of history on a months-old domain is the cheapest signal available.
Left up. It carries dates, a domain and a document trail, which is what a report on this board looks like.

Same. A batch-specific document requested before payment costs nothing and filters an enormous amount.
Agreed on the no-names rule. It protects the board and it protects people who turn out to be wrong.
a cloned storefront copies the design, never the documentation
Correcting my own post: the payment date was the 14th, not the 4th. The gap is smaller than I made it sound.
Not convinced. A payment window that closed is a payment window, not evidence of intent.
