Did you ask for the batch-specific certificate, or the generic one?

That is the quoted lead time, not the observed transit. Both belong in the report and they are different columns.

Split one order across two months on purpose to compare summer and winter. Four days apart, same carrier, same route.

Pharmacy staff name removed. The pharmacy itself can be named in a pricing post.

That study was in a rodent model. Worth stating, since the thread has been reading it as human data.

Left up and flaired Explainer.

Adding the caveat the paper itself makes in its limitations section, which is stronger than anything in this thread.

Packaging is assessable on arrival with no equipment: rigid outer, no movement inside, the cold element sized to the transit rather than to the box.

New plan year, entirely new criteria, and the denial that had been immovable in the autumn simply did not apply in January.

Ordered from the warehouse in Ireland instead of origin and the whole customs question disappeared. 6 days, door to door.

Agreed on potency testing of the finished preparation. That is a different question from the purity of the starting material.

This. A liquid gel pack on arrival tells you about the pack’s duty cycle, not about the vial.

Agreed on keeping letters. Dates are what make an appeal or a re-referral possible.

Careful — the deadline runs from the date on the letter. Waiting for a call back can cost you the appeal entirely.

Right — mechanism gives you a direction. It never gives you an effect size and people use it as though it does.

A peer-to-peer conversation puts the prescribing clinician in front of a reviewing clinician. It bypasses the correspondence cycle entirely and is often the fastest available route.

comment on stability is the most under-discussed thing on this board in c/coldchain · 79 points · 8 months ago

What actually matters, in order, because these threads always start at the wrong end.

State first: dry powder is comparatively robust, reconstituted solution is not. Most of the anxiety here is about powder and most of the real risk is about solution.

Then evidence: a warm gel pack is evidence about the pack. A logger is evidence about the box. Only a test is evidence about the material. People routinely reason from the first to the third and it does not follow.

Then prevention, which is dull and effective: shorter lanes where regional stock exists, rigid packaging, the middle of the fridge rather than the door, and the reconstitution date written on the glass.

Cosigning on discharge at goal. It catches people who have done everything right and did not know it was coming.

Switched between two compounded preparations and the concentration on the label was different.

This is the distinction the whole board runs on. Everything else follows from it.

ask which lines are actually held in the regional warehouse

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about Janoshik until somebody posts a number in c/vendorvetting · 387 points · 10 months ago

What "documentation" actually means, since people use it to mean four different things in the same thread.

A certificate of analysis is one document about one lot. A batch record is the manufacturing trail behind that lot. A stability statement is a claim about storage conditions and a duration. A method line is how the number on the certificate was produced.

You can ask for all four. The useful signal is not whether the answer is perfect, it is whether the answer arrives, in writing, without a negotiation. SGN sends the method line unprompted; once you have seen that you stop accepting a bare number from anybody.
